In our second pre-season game we beat Brentford B 2-1. Hallam Hope and Scott Twine (who has found his goalscoring boots in Pre-season) with the goals.

Beat Forest Green 2-1 at HP to round off our preseason.

Beat a full strength QPR, 1-0 yesterday after a narrow 2-1 defeat at a full strength Crystal Palace on Tuesday (we were 1-0 up until we made seven changes and they scored two in five minutes). Previously we played three games in three days against non league sides winning 3-0, 4-0, and 5-0.

Watched the Palace and QPR games and we looked very good in both. Probably another two or three players to come in, so it's looking good at the moment. Having said that, I've seen too many good pre-seasons to get carried away just yet, but I'll be very disappointed if we're not at, or around, the top when the season is underway. One thing I would say with some confidence, watch out for our young signing Marcus Mcguane, looks a hell of a player.

Yep, still showing up our lack of depth up there. That said, we put Grant in CM so that took away some of the creativity we have.

Don't know if the Tinpot Trophy counts as pre-season (not real games to me, anyway) but beat Charlton 2-1 in it last night. They seemed to have a young side out and three of our nailed-on starters were on the bench or missing but was our first team apart from that. On that showing we've a much better squad than last year in all areas and lots of fans seem confident we won't struggle so much this season. So obviously that makes us certs for relegation.
