I just watched a highlights reel of the game at Aldershot. Horrible camera angles though.

Any opposition scouts watching that would laugh at how susceptible to balls over the top we are, even when our defenders get there first.

In the after match interview, Lindsey said he gave the players a right bollocking. Said their attitude was poor!

One more friendly (away at Ebbsfleet) to go.

As well as beating Brentford B yesterday we also drew 2-2 vs Torquay.

Bosses the first half with goals from Magennis (who looks nailed on to lead the line for us) and Jack Fitzwater.

We then didn’t kill the game and let Torquay draw level with two late goals, which is disappointing.

We have Eastleigh of all teams at home on Saturday in our final game of the pre season.

We're playing a friendly at Blackburn right now so some of the squad is there and others playing at Carlisle United tomorrow.

Oliver Norwood and Dwight Gayle getting a run out for us. Granada, Sporting Braga and Feyenoord scouts watching Lewis Bate.

Just the three new injuries picked up tonight. And Mellon is out for the season, after his injury v. Stoke the other day.

We'll be lucky to have eleven available tomorrow.

Port vale away today.....You would expect our starting 11 to be something like for next weeks opener at Orient, but we have so many injuries and players returning that i have no clue what team he will put out

Here we go again.

Always the same with you, 'oh our squad is so depleted we have 20 players out injured'. Grow up.

Short answer. No.

One week from the start of the season and we have one striker (plus a back up from non league). One keeper (our other has done his acl) and every time someone pumps a ball over the top we look like conceding. Other than that everything's looking good.

You never know, Faal could score for fun at this level too, Conroy could grow another couple of inches and De Gea might fancy a run out with us.

Much stronger team on paper and the bench is starting to look ok, our New lwb from Hungry starts
Baxter, Thomason, Arfield and Collins also starts. Firino on the bench hopefully for his Debut and Charles should also get mins coming off the bench.

Rounded off our pre season with a comfortable 3-0 home win vs Eastleigh. Goals from new boy Crama, Reece Cole and Josh Magennis.

The only bad note is that Yanic Wildschut was stretchered off with a suspected knee injury. Apparently it looked really nasty so he could well be out longterm. Shame as he was looking much better this pre season.

2-1 win against Arsenal U21's in a game that surprisingly had a bit of needle about it.

Montsma and House with the goals. A bit passive from us in the first half but didn't give them too much of a sniff in the second and probably should have had one or two goals. Arsenal certainly had more physicality about them than a normal U21 side, though.

Yeah, bad news about Wildschut. That's why you shouldn't take pre season too seriously

Bit of a boring 0 - 0 draw against Donny for Richard Woods Testimonial.

Nothing to suggest either team will be ripping their respective leagues apart.

Rotherham played the other half of the squad from who played a behind closed doors 0 - 0 draw yesterday against Sheffield Wednesday (supplemented with subs from the youth team).

I would have thought we would have seen the team for Exeter away next week for at least 70 minutes but SE thought differently.

Anyway Richard Wood was happy with a crowd 0f 4816 with 756 from Donny, I can throw my magic hat away now.

Beat Dagenham 1-0 with Brandon Cooper scoring, really low key until last 20mins with all the subs and we started to create chances and finally took one.

No injuries it seems which is all that matters at this time a week before the season starts.

Amazing their fall from grace, is Pilley pulling the purse strings?

Watched it on the telly-gog. Reminded me why that the last ever friendly/pre-season game I ever went to was Joey Jones' vs Liverpool...like watching paint dry! I said then I'd never bother again.

6.5K there though tbf, but I'm sure I heard a mouse farting on the new Kop at one point!

Stags winning 1-0 at Grimsby. DKD scored the winner ten minutes from the end after coming on as sub a few minutes earlier.

We missed loads of chances but the defence was pretty much playing with carpet slippers and pipe on against a rather toothless Mariner’s side.

The vale team had Mitch Clarke Nathan smith Jayden stockley George Byers baylee dipepa Ethan chislett Connor Grant so quite a few first team players missing. Friendlies don't mean shit really but based on what i saw today vale will be non league in 12 months time. I don't think Bolton will finish top 6 this season.

Drewc1-1 with Ebbsfleet today. I was hanging wallpaper.

In the after match interviews it came out that we played a Premier league team last night as well. It seems the plan was to play the players while tired. Don't know which Premier team though.

That's Evatt backing out of any ongoing transfer deals thinking "we'll go with what we've got" just because we easily beat a half cropped L2 side.

Finished with a 4-1 win over the baggies on Saturday, it flattered us somewhat, it was fairly even until we went 2-1 whereby Albion completely collapsed. Nice to see us ruthless, we could have stopped at 2-1 seen the game out but we pressed on and went for the jugular.

Very excited for next week now, the phoney war is over, time for business
