You could probably throw a blanket over the bottom six, even the forum idiots wouldn't struggle to make a compelling case for any of those teams to go down - plumped for the two to be saved on the basis of previous experience of a relegation battle in this division.

Looking up, I think Maidstone will be the team that breaks out and has the inevitable decent start followed by slow collapse - Woking won't quite be as crap as many think.

Seen absolutely nothing to suggest Wrexham or York will be anything other than underwhelming.

Torquay should improve greatly, and Macc will occupy a typical top-half place as usual. We will come close by virtue of having one of the best management teams in the division and overperform by 3/4 positions, but just miss out.

The play-offs will be nearly as tinpot as last season, and most probably now or never for those of a green persuasion. Tranmere will walk away with the honours by 5+ points.

Surprised so many have us in the PO's. I'm struggling to see us higher than 8th at the minute.

I rate DC/NC, but I'm worried for us defensively again. We've not really set up through pre-season the way I expected us to do given the Cowleys impressive record with clean sheets last season.

It's a tough one really. At the bottom, NFU look like they've got a real job on to even compete and Woking don't seem to have had an ideal start to preparations. Solihull have just lost a key player for the season (I think, apologies if wrong) and Guiseley were very fortunate to stay up last season.
I expect Chester and Boreham Wood to stear clear of trouble but really the teams 11-20 could come in any order because there doesn't look much between them, with the possible exception of Macclesfield who may surprise a few.

At the top, I feel there is likely to be 1 of the relegated sides in the mix for the title and I gave the edge to Dagenham because of John Still, although I feel it will be close between them, FGR and ourselves for the title. I just have a suspicion that we'll drop a few silly points (Welling and Kidderminster 2015/16) that will mean we miss out. York have struggled for a couple of seasons in L2 and I think it will take them a little longer to adjust, although if they get a good start they could sneak the playoffs. Barrow and Torquay to be surprise playoff contenders.

I'd agree, but the thing is I'm not particularly impressed by anyone else either. What sides can you say will definitely finish above us? Forest Green, Eastleigh, Tranmere...?

Then again there will be plenty of other clubs who will be saying the same thing, and there's always one or two that do well that you don't expect.

This is hard. Gone for Dagenham as champs, mainly on the strength of their manager, though the squad not as strong as Cheltenham. Forest Green the opposite, a good squad, but a manager whose record doesn't inspire. Eastleigh in defence and Rovers up front have significantly improved their squads, while Barrow continuing their momentum from last season should grab the last play-off slot. Though Lincoln, Gateshead and Wrexham are in with a chance if things click. York are the great unknowns,10th feels a little low, but a manager with no experience at this level may take a little time to adapt and they haven't made any particularly eye-catching signings

At the other end, both sides who came up from the North look doomed to a quick return. Braintree have lost a significant chunk of last season's side and coupled with an inexperienced new manager look in for a struggle. Don't think there's much to choose between Maidstone, Chester, Guiseley & Sutton and my knowledge of the two promoted sides from the South is minimal. Although I've put Sutton in the final relegation place, this is the area I'm most likely to go wrong.
