I'm surprised no one has us in the top 7 - proven manager with really solid additions so far to an already clearly talented group of players.

A combination of Forte, McLeod, Stead and the imminent signing of Toney will definitely score goals in league 2.

And with the solid back line of Duffy, Dickinson and Tootle we will be much more solid than last season.

1. Doncaster - great signings and fergie has done it before
2. Pompey- see Donny
3. Orient - consistent approach will get their apparent quality up
4. Blackpool - Bowyer is a great appointment IMO
5. Notts - see notes above
6. - Cheltenham - my dark horses for next year
7. Luton - good signings and like the look of Jones

23. Morecombe
24. Newport

I can't see Plymouth being as strong as last year - I think Mansfield will start strong but frantically fade away - Keith Curle is a one trick pony and will be sacked before the season finishes and Shaun Derry hasn't got the experience or momentum to carry Cambridge into the top 7. His signings reflect that a la Blair Adams.

County have made no great signings and have you forgotten how awful you were last year?? I was expecting a lot more players to leave. I think they're be an improvement but not top 10

Based on what I've seen of us in preseason I don't think we'll be troubling the top half let alone the top 7

I see the BRovers/Barnet rivalry lives on!
Why is there a rivalry? Is it because in their one and only conference season, they were beaten to the title by Barnet and had to settle for playoffs?

I think it's because we battered them in the league and even their massive fanbase (which numbers larger than Bristol City, the city of Birmingham and even Luton's :eyes:) couldn't help them. And then last season we done them over at the Hive again.

It's experiences like that which can ruin a Rover's fans life, you know...

Basically, there is no rivalry whatsoever.
For some reason the Barnet fans have created an imaginary rivalry.

That's right, we're on the League 1 section and your forum right now predicting your relegation.

Our joke forum thread 'Bristol Rovers are so big that....' really got to you didn't it :)

So having an opinion on league 2 is a rivalry? Ok.

We were rivals in 2014/15. I'm really not bothered what you're up to now days so I'll exclude myself from your sweeping generalisation.

It's not that you had an opinion, it is the impression given by the opinion made. Not a rivalry, more an insight into the fact you take us far too seriously.

Brovers fans seem so butthurt about us even though they're now in the division above. I'm so confused by them. Maybe they feel they should be 2/3 divisions above little Barnet. I mean a team of their magnitude should surely be in the Prem by now. The FA should allow them to jump a few divisions based on their enormous fanbase.

Bristol Rovers is not just a football club, it's a global brand.

Right, BeesKnees. I reckon Burnley will go down from the Prem this season. Does that therefore mean I hate them? No.

It's really bugging you
LOL.
Were you the only one to predict their relegation?

Interesting no one fancies Grimsby to struggle, they've signed some absoulte dross, I'll be surprised if Hurst sees out the season.

I have Grimsby as finishing in the bottom two but it does pain me to put two northern-ish clubs into the relegation places with so many southern softy teams at the top ....

Portsmouth
Luton
Cambridge
Exeter
Orient
Doncaster
Carlisle

Grimsby
Morecambe

So Cheltenham fans, after seeing their team finish bottom of this league just 12 months ago, fancy themselves for promotion? Bizarre. They are lower mid table fodder and will soon realise it.

They are ridiculously consistent though, the very few games they did lose last year were nearly all last minute caught on the break whilst looking for a winner, plus they have a superb manager.

They were, not convinced they will be this season. Desperately need new signings before Saturday, they can barely fill the bench at the moment.

Do you actually believe for a moment that any player from our awful relegation season is still with the club because they are not. This is a new team made up of top conference players and others released from league one with a few quality loan players in it.

I see you lost 3-0 yesterday to inferior Bristol Rovers.

In a friendly fixture where we played a number of trialists and youth team players in defense yes.
