If we were playing Franchise instead of PNE we'd put out the same team - whatever it turns out to be.

There is no playing favourites here - just doing what we think is best for our club.

I can understand Franchise being twitchy about our commitment, or lack thereof, tomorrow - but TBH, fuck it.

We've got no obligation to any other team.

Understandable, hopefully the players you use will want to show why they should be in the squad for the play-offs!

Also, why the flying fuck would Your goalkeeper need a rest? Unless all that pissing about with the ball has taken its toll.

I think he picked up a knock against Peterborough personally so it could be linked to that.

Clearly fods is being saved from injury for the play-offs, keepers don't need resting, ever!

Looks like the opening poster was right then. Very poor show to influence the promotion battle in such a way.

Right in suggesting we would play a weakened side (though this was common knowledge after Cooper's interview), wrong to imply we have done it to prevent MK from gaining promotion.

The second part of your post is ridiculous. Why should we not pick whatever side we want for the good of our club, as deemed by our employees?

Swindon have the right to play who they want, and the Promotion Battle is nothing to do with them. They don't have to make it interesting for the neutrals at their expense.

Sensible to reserve big players for the PO's.

Both teams seem to just continue winning.

What I posted was before it was common knowledge.

But you can chose whether you want to believe that what I get told is direct from 'the inside' at Swindon Town. Can understand sour grapes, what with me being a City fan.

Personal jibes isn't really a bother from someone who won't say it to me in person, I'm sure :)

Apparently rule 24 suggests you have to play your strongest side unless you have valid reasons so I wonder if we have given food poisoning to some of our players!

Maybe took them out for a dodgy curry last night on purpose!

Not sure, why not ask the League?

Requirement to Play Full Strength Sides in League Matches
24.1 Each Club shall play its full strength in all Matches played under the auspices of The League unless some satisfactory reason is given. In the event of the explanation not being deemed satisfactory the Board shall refer the matter to the Football Disciplinary Commission which has the power to impose such penalties as it shall think fit.

My opinion is your team selection makes a mockery of the competition.

Resting players ahead of a tough play-off campaign is satisfactory enough reason for me. If that doesn't cut it, then Foderingham and Luongo both have knocks, Swift has been ill and I'm sure we could think up some reasons for the other four changes.

I don't expect anything to come from this.

Tongue was firmly in cheek there. But hey, interpret it how you like.

It's nice to know you've taken your tongue out of your own ass and now found a new place for it.

Keep it there and you shouldn't feel so raw or sensitive, as per (at least) the last few days or so.

We would have beaten Swindon at full strength anyway. Put your dummies back in Scrumpy and TTOCS.

Personally I'm a little hacked off today. Not entirely sure what we achieved today. Our players don't need rests. They always come back shit afterwards. This season for me is ending in a bit of a farce. It just seems the club don't give a shit. We've not had a great second half of the season.
What we have done today is just plain stupid. Preston would have been better po opponents imo. We had a free game today for some of our better players just to relax and play their game and get confidence. Result didn't really matter, but we could have had a go.
This will come back and bite us on the ass, it will be karma! I just really can't be bothered now with the play-offs the club can't seem to be bothered so why should I?

It's YOU who's been balling your fucking eyes out about it.

It has fuck all to do with you, anyway; so move along c*** face, and stop ruining yet another thread with your pissy pants whinging.

Not fussed. If MK beat Preston themselves they'd be second.
