Preston vs Cardiff

Don't think anyone really cares that we're playing today but I might as well make a thread.

Hopefully get our first win at home in a while, fairly excited by mc geady and Robinson up front, just need a decent striker in the middle. Hopefully Beckford isn't too far away from a returned and Doyle will be banished.

Going for a 2-0 win, really don't know anything about Cardiff apart from they're slightly less shit than us so far this season.

Attendance, who knows probably about 6 as Grayson told people not to bother coming

Hopefully Beckford is fit, don't want to see Doyle starting again. Not too confident as Grayson probably won't be positive until were 1.0 down again and it's too late. Would start Maxwell aswell, don't rate Lindegaard.

That was absolutely outstanding. Doyle and Hugill were fantastic, as were the back four and Robinson, but McGeady is different gravy. If he plays like that all season then we've got a serious player on our hands.

Lindegaard made some good saves but they only threatened from long range. Gallagher improved 2nd half but was still probably our worst player.

Good performance, feels good to win at home again. It's amazing what a basic 442 can do with players in their correct positions. I hope we stick with Mcgeady and Robinson out wide at home now as they were both dangerous tonight, I'm really looking forward to seeing Mcgeady in a few games time though when he's fully up to speed. Cardiff were pretty shit really, didn't feel like they were going to score at any point.

Interesting to see McGeady doing the business for you, think he struggled with his fitness with us last season and never got up to speed. Clearly has the talent and if he's applied himself over the summer as I expect he's done he may well do well.
