It goes to show what losing culture can be once it sets in. And it doesn’t matter how much is spent if it’s still ingrained then it will continue to be shit.

Every single player and staff member involved in last seasons debacle should have been cleared out in the summer. The only one I won’t include is Guy as he was injured most of last season and actually played well prior to injury. But the rest should have been gone. A complete reset was needed, start again. Drastic but necessary

Yes there should have been a clear out last summer as it felt like there was barely any. To finish bottom of L1 and play absolutely shit should have been enough to justify a mass overhaul, but there were stupid delusional thoughts of these players specifically the defenders as being good dependable players for L2 along with the shite we signed last January and of course the summer signings have been disappointing too.

Are we the first ever club in the history of the football league to get new wealthy owners and immediately go backwards and get worse?

I’ve never ever known anything like this.

How bloody typical for us to be heading into the non-league only a little over a year from when we expected to be looking forwards with new owners and spending power after years of rag and bone tinpottedness.
Birmingham?

You should have signed Langstaff scores for fun at this level but I'm Armstrong will turn it around.

If it helps we had back to back L1 play off finishes when our new owners joined and we are where we are now, six years into League Two.

The new owners first season admittedly was the second of those play off finishes culminating in the Wembley defeat to Millwal. But they were supposed to be able to give us the financial push into the Championship. Not fester in L2 for six years.

It's difficult to be optimistic after yesterday.
I think the players are getting off lightly.
They should be taking the criticism not the coaching staff or Piataks.
Williamson has inherited players who aren't good enough, we carried 3 or 4 passengers yesterday on that pitch.
You can't do that when you're bottom of the league.
How many of Simpsons signings are injured and seem to be happy dropping out with niggles. No fight in them imo.
According to some of our fans, the poor little darlings are being played out of position. Really? They're professional athletes who should be able to adapt imo.
The manager needs to get shot of Simpsons rubbish and bring his own players in. We can judge him then on results.
This transfer window might not save us, but it gives MW and Clarkson time to build their squad with players that match their beliefs.
I respect Williamson, I think he's working under difficult circumstances and is having to sort out Simpsons mess.
Time will tell.

Where I don’t forgive Williamson is his idiotic attitude to all this………he would honestly I’d say rather get relegated here and therefore head into the football wilderness rather than actually read the room and adapt.

You don’t in a dire relegation battle f*ck about being bothered about possession stats and data.

We have all experienced a L2 relegation battle it’s just character, scrapping and digging in for any points you can get while trying to stick to basics and trying hardest for team unity.

Williamsons approach now has been to flog any team unity, needs an entire new side because none suit his persistent approach and isn’t interested at all in lack of chances or basic mistakes constantly made all due to his approach to games.

He and owners hope they replace the team it will miraculously turn around and all will be well, but they have forgotten the single biggest flaw…….the home crowd.

That home crowd should now be into ‘dogfight’ mode…..we hate either the owners team manager etc etc but we see the situation and have to now just unify behind the team.

Because this ‘style’ constantly p*sses off the fans they won’t give this approach any time or support it’s slated from first bad pass and even if pass works is slated for going backwards and sideways, and I’m sorry but is no way your going to introduce a fancy passing game with a fanbase slagging it off from the first minute.

He’s f*cked as manager here, it’s never turning about and owners just wasting their team the fans won’t accept it now even if improves a little

How's Aaron Hayden playing?

Being played as a right centre back in a back three and told to play it out from the back which is clearly not what he’s suited for under this clown managing us.

So he’s not been good and been at fault for some goals but I can’t put all the blame on him when he shouldn’t be getting asked to pass it around.

Nowhere near as good as he was when he was last here.

we’re bottom of the league. How do you think he’s playing?

In all seriousness, he looks like he’s lost any ability with the ball at his feet that he had last time he was here. What did you do to him?

One of the worst performers yesterday. Which is quite the achievement. He's not the Aaron Hayden I remember from his previous stint here.

I don’t think he’s suited to being right of a back 3 to be fair.

When he was last here he was in a 2 alongside Rhys Bennett with a proper right back in Tanner on the outside of him.

That's a shame, he looked a very decent player for us at times but he seemed to get worse with every stint he spent on the sidelines.

Give Armstrong a strike partner and he'll soon come good. He may as well be on the moon with the amount of support he's getting. The lad is not - and never has been - a lone striker. Completely misused by successive managers.

I actually thought he’d started to show some good signs in the Accrington and crewe games with Adu Adjei playing just off him. A goal and an assist.

But it was back to being isolated and ineffective yesterday.

How many mo dons players have as such fallen out of favour at mo dons since the managerial change who were favoured last season??

I’d surely expected them to be possible targets for January.
Embleton was an MW signing, we were in for him in the summer.

As for current players... we were left in a position where squad depth wasn't exactly glowing so Lindsey has used the majority of the squad he was given, but some have certainly fallen out of favour. I'd expect Wearne, Leigh and Harness to definitely be off this window, with question marks over Lemonheigh-Evans, Pritchard, Harrison and a couple of other first team players that we would try and replace.

Armstrong is the perfect 6 yard box goal moocher, he's not gonna run about like a headless chicken, just needs to park himself around the penna spot and he'll get goals, 100% not a lone striker, he got 13 for us on loan and all were from 0-8 yards out, he had Rhys Oates alongside him who was rapid and did all the running.

After the reoccurrence of his injury he just didn't look the same for us either. Seemed to be scared of getting hurt again- whereas before his aggression was one of his main assets.

There would have been an enormous difference in return I think had Armstrong gone to Wrexham than Carlisle.

One club creating chances for fun and playing in a confident positive atmosphere. The other creating next to nothing each game for over a year, low morale poor unity lack of any creativity.

I cannot say whether he is a good or bad player but the massive change of circumstances at both clubs would have seen very different outcomes

Armstrong sounds like exactly what we need to go alongside Hogan up top... though being outpriced by Wrexham on deadline day is still a massive blessing in disguise.
Ditto us misfiling the paperwork. We were also liking up a plan B guy from Wycombe that also fell through- and who has scored about 4 goals in two seasons.
