Awful display but churned out the win. Some decent games coming up so hopefully we can stay in the top 2 for a while
The first 40 or so minutes was our best performance for a while I thought; I had a cheeky bet on 5-0 once the second goal went it cos we were playing that well. In typical Rovers style we almost threw it away though, very poor second half.

Blackburn and Wigan for top two. Rotherham or Plymouth play off winners.

Don’t want to write Shrewsbury off as they’ve consistently got results but I think the quality of Wigan and Blackburn will eventually see them top 2. Play-offs is a lottery though.

I’d really like Shrewsbury to go up as one of the two automatics. I suspect Wigan will cross the line, but will Blackburn blow it?

Might not be a case of anyone blowing it, at the rate the top four are racking up the points second place could need some sort of record to guarantee promotion.

We needed 93 points in 2012 to claim second.

Well there's three teams on 2+ points per game (ie 92 points after 46) currently so you never know...depends how much Wigan's fixture pile-up affects their results, playing twice a week every week won't be good for fitness levels etc.

91 would have done it for you, but either way its a big total to secure 2nd. And I bet it was sweet especially doing it over the other half.

8 wins from the last 11 ....

yeah 91 would have done it but going into the final game we were only a point ahead so needed the 3....

From our perspective, we’d need to repeat our last 12 results to the end of the season. Not realistic IMO. I just hope our form carries on into the play offs. Our only hope comes from the form table where, over the last 6 matches we have collected 6 and 8 points more than the three teams above us and you can’t get a gnats chuff between us and Plymouth. Manager of the month is a tough call this time.

Throw Chris Powell’s hat into the manager of the month ring. Took a side who had lost 8 out of 9 games to 13 points from the last 5 games with wins against: Wigan, Scunny, Posh and Pompey

Can pretty much rule us out of this now.

Just when we started to think we were getting players back from injury we now find out that two key players in Ahmed Kashi and Jay Dasilva are out for the season. Don’t think we even have another fit left back ffs.

Does this mean our match on 24th March will definitely be on? Lots of people holding off booking trains, hotels etc as you normally have 3x international call ups. Believe Dasilva is one of them leaving you with 2 which means you can't cancel?

Can see us selling out the away end if we're still in with a shout by then and the game remains on a Saturday. Nowhere near if moved to a Tuesday night.

Would imagine all the London and this side of the northern midlands 'border' would make the trip IF we keep up with Charlton until then, would be a real 6 pointer between 6th and 7th.

Didn't realise it was quite 3200 but 2500+ more than possible on a Saturday I'd say.

Hadn’t even thought of that.

Yeah, I think it will have to go ahead now.

In any normal month yes you would be in for a shout, but both us and Rotherham have 100% this month, and it includes Blackburn and Shrewsbury for us. We have come from relegation fodder and Rotherham are making a fanciful thrust for automatic. So I think this is a two horse race for Feb.

Ignore that, just read that Mavididi should be back from injury and is likely to be called up to the England u20s.

Rotherham losing to the Franchise scum surely pretty much knocks them out of the race for automatic promotion. Can see all of the top 3 getting over 90 points.

Our bubble has well and truly burst now. Are we artificially high, or is this a dip? I honestly can’t tell.

I agree that at least we can stop worrying about the autos now, they weren’ t really in reach, but now we know for certain

Can't really blame the fixture pile up seeing as a few of them are down to success in the cup. Not a huge amount of sympathy for that!

We’ve only played once in 4 weeks so Wigan can’t really have many excuses tonight.

Looking forward to the Plymouth game - not sure I'll even be able to watch it on iFollow as I'll be in Berlin. I'll have to find a bar with WiFi I reckon!

With P'boro winning last night Plymouth is a huge huge game. Lose and our season is probably over (9 points would be too much of a gap). Win, and you never know.

I disagree. We've only played 7 matches in the last 6 and a half week. Have pretty much a fully fit squad and the largest in the league probably. The players haven't been anywhere near 100% effort wise and we've got 5 points from 5 games. We've only decided to turn up against West Ham and Man City. Had we put in say 80% of those matches effort, we'd have probably won all 5 league games instead.

13 goals conceded in the first 28 games. 10 in the last 5 due to lack of concentration. When we won the Fa cup in 2013 it galvanised our league form. This time the opposite. I get the impression that beating Premier Leagues has made the players think they can just stroll through league matches and it's unacceptable.

1 win in 13 games away to Bradford and that came 35 years ago. Dont think we've ever beaten a Grayson team. Suspect a complete lack of effort and comfortable win for Bradford tonight. Players will be thinking about Sundays FA Cup quarter. Were effort levels and performance will be flicked on like a switch. If the players want to be playing Premier League sides on a more regular basis then they need to start putting a shift in in the league. Otherwise we'll be going nowhere and considering the advantage we had 6 weeks ago would be unforgivable.

Wigan looked piss poor considering the team they put out and how stacked it was. Only had a couple of chances and general play was lethargic and meh. Thought our rag tag lot who were playing a new system and haven’t played for 4 weeks dealt with them comfortably until they switched off once in the 91st minute. Such is life.
