Well ICYMI we're winning the league cup in March and we're all going on a european tour next term so get fucked imo :)
Good luck with that, hope it works out for you, nice club Bristol City. Have you seen some of the grounds that host europa league games? you might get lucky and play in some decent Spanish stadia, or you could end up at the arse end of nowhere.

Yeah I have, some proper shitholes but it'd be an incredible experience. We'll get slapped for six by Man City anyway, was only joking. "nice club" eh appreciate that

What the fuck does ICYMI mean anyway, I'm not with it anymore.
In case you missed it.

Seems to be a bit of bitterness at the moment regarding Bristol city, and the wolves for once are looking down on us from a great height. Should make it Interesting if we end up in the play offs against Bristol city.

The only bitterness seems to come from you. Matched only by your condescending attitude towards those who have a different view from yours.

I'm not bitter at all, and I don't show any attitude towards anyone on here.

Personally I would absolutely fucking love an away day in rural northern Kazakhstan or some old crumbling soviet shithole in Moldova or Azerbaijan!! Sadly, the closest we're likely to ever get to Europe is if we draw Dover in the FA cup.

I'd swap a season in the Prem for a couple of European qualifier games, would be fucking class seeing North End play abroad.

Nope, we got the worst possible draw in the semi. We would've done Arsenal over two legs I believe, would've been a bigger allocation and closer to home. If we played Man City in the final anything could happen, it'd only take an early red card like we've had a few go for us this season and who knows.

We'll go out though.

Madness to think we’ve played in Europe against the likes of Bayern, Atletico, Sporting, Besiktas, Red Star Belgrade etc...

I hope it happens again one day.

Highly highly unlikely you'd of beat any of them over 2 legs, having two legs just suits the better side, if it was a one off owt can happen.

I'd fancy us to do Arsenal's second string side, we more than matched Man United's over the course of 90 minutes. Players gave fucking everything.

Go up, can't even imagine what it'd be like winning a playoff final on penalties or something daft like that. Was well jealous of Huddersfield last year.

It's everything you dream about and more. Sport at its emotional best. I even got a tattoo  and was far from alone.

Have Fulham been mentioned much in this thread yet? I'm starting to see similarities to last season when they became borderline scarily good the longer the season went on...

My mate at work is a Bolton fan, went on a lot of those trips and said they were quality.

We'll beat Man City reserves on Tuesday then who knows what will happen.
Arsenal in the final would be winnable.

Obviously, we shouldn't have a hope in hell, especially over 2 legs but we'll give it a right go.

I'll go for an aggregate score of plus 6 to city.

Bristol?

;)

We actually did fairly ok against Man City the other night - once we remembered to turn up at 2-0 down after 15 minutes!

Think the away leg is crucial for us, if we’re still in it coming to Ashton Gate with a 2 goal deficit at worst then it could be fun!

If we get blown away then the home leg will be like a friendly. Imagine we’d play our reserves.

A goal up in Manchester and no more than 2 behind and I'd say we'd still have a chance.
Pep would be likely to do at least a partially weakened team in the second leg if that was the case.
All it would take is an early goal in the home leg and all of a sudden the pressure is on.

I just don't see that happen. Man City have a lot going on this season. The fact that the first leg is in Manchester makes it a bit easier for BC. Man City will play a reserve team and if we can hold them to 0-0 then Bristol City can too. And if you can hold someone to 0-0 you can nick a goal. A few years back we were the first team to beat Man Utd that season when we were rock bottom of the PL (we were rock bottom so many seasons, that's why I can't remember the exact year).

I can see Bristol City winning this. 0-0 at the Nondescriptmiddleeasternsponsoredsoulessbowlarena, then 1-0 at the shiny new Ashton Gate. Alan Dicks to come on as a legendary 93rd minute sub, nod it in from a set piece, then race up the M5 to shake a celebratory fist at Nuno. And if Man City do win, it won't be by a landslide.
