Play offs dont go to form , if its leeds villa at wembley i would fancy leeds on that big pitch , but villa v wba would be hard to call

Fulham were the form team last season to be fair. Personally I hope whoever finishes 6th wins it, I have no love for Leeds, Villa or West Brom.

Looked like we were going to do the most Derby County thing ever and not take advantage of two absolute stunners of results.

Massively inconsistent and haven't won away since December but somehow we're in the driving seat. Things will change again before the season is out though.

If you think our transfer policy would consist of signing inept journeymen from the likes of Fulham and Huddersfield, it's clear that you're not only stupid but that you've not watched any Championship football all season (and seriously, why are you even still here when your team are League 1 bound?).

Your 100% correct I'm sure Norwich and United fans would rather be looking forward to playing the likes of (no disrespect intended) Luton, Barnsley, Reading, Millwall, Wigan etc than Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc.
Even if the promoted clubs struggle in the PL it's what we are all aiming for, full house nearly every week, more away fans, watching top class international players parading their skills and now and again actually beating them.
Sounds awfully boring to me.

So your fans would flock to your ground to watch you get stuffed 5-0 each week by city spurs etc but they cant flock to the ground to watch you stuff forest 3-0 even utd cant fill the lane being 2nd and a few games away from said promised land yet i bet you wont get a ticket for love or money when spurs romp to a 6-1 win sending them 10points clear at the bottom strange supporters

Championship is a great league, one of best in Europe but every fan in this league would love to see there team in Premier League, Leicester showed what can be achieved.

Top 6 do have off days, I'm sure Crystal Palace fans enjoyed winning at Man City and Arsenal this season.

Simple questions,
Is whoever goes up guaranteed to get stuffed 5-0 every week?
what we're you averaging 4 or 5 years since?
How many did you average this season in a higher League?
Do you think you will average more next season in a higher league again?
Now let's be really stupid and pretend you were to get to the PL (I know never gonna happen)
Do you think your ground would be anywhere near big enough for the attendances you could get?
Which match generated most interest for you and other Imps fans in 2016/17?
The Arsenal Cup tie, where you were expected to get a beating or any of the League matches against non League opposition where you were reasonably expected to win?

Answer honestly, don't make some bollocks up.

Obviously most fans want to watch their team play against (and sometimes beat) top players playing for top teams, to claim otherwise is Bullshit. (Which in fairness you are pretty good at).

Btw I'd be at Hillsborough whoever we play, but watching my team against the top PL teams is more apealing to me and would certainly bring in more of the less passionate fans. As would be the case for every team

What are you waffling about ?
I've heard some football fans talk some bollocks but you really take the biscuit.

Has the recent success of the club you claim to support created a feel good factor, or are you going to spend your whole close season whittling about what the big League One clubs are going to do to you

Winning the Premier League wont be our aim IF we get there.

And losing to Man City, Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal isn't going to bother me one iota and it wouldn't bother most fans from any other promoted club either.

Any club promoted to the premier league has a massive disadvantage to overcome, an entire division of Premier League players that you have to try to match in about 10 weeks.

So, do you think anybody cares if they get a bit of a hiding off Man City ?

We are a perfect example of not having any fear against the bigger PL teams. We've beat most teams in the top 6 this season (Man Utd twice) bar Arsenal and Man City, we could only draw with them.

You've got an extremely good team though to be fair. Going up is what we all aim to do, if we get hammered so be it, pointless watching football if people didnt want promotion because they might get hammered by city.

But why the average form against teams at the bottom?

You do hear some fans saying they don't care about the Premier league but they'd probably be the first to get tickets etc if their team was promoted to it!

I think some don't like the way its become a business and fans are often put second but that is the why of football and sport in many cases now - about trying to make big money first.

Its not exactly cheap in the lower leagues either and you get iffy owners/over paid players etc.

End of the day though we all want our teams to show some ambition and win games!

And with that you get promoted...

Wish we knew the answer for that. Personally I think it's because we're a counter attacking team, and are better when we don't have the ball. When we playing teams like Huddersfield, Burnley etc the onus is on us to go and break them down, something we struggle doing.

Congrats on the Wembley win anyway pal, not spoke to you since then. Enjoy the final.

Are averages been the same the last 3 years ground holds just under 10k home ends sold out every week just if away support is bigger bumps the crowd up ,pre cowley we was getting 1.9k being bottom 10 of the national league getting turned over every week by village teams bringing 20fans and a manager who was director but paid the club 25k to be the manager because he had managed at sunday league level before dark days they was , but we still averaged 1.9k even in big keiths play off seasons we only pulled 4.5k , then the cowleys came we had poached a manager from a club (first time in years)normally got the yo yo managers first home game crowd was 3.5k 6-1 win , but then we got ipswich away took 5.5k and a few in home end won the replay on bbc and the city woke up to our football club not the arsenal game , but we are a div 2 club days like that come about 100years or so ,your a big club theres a big difference , me personally i think the championship is the best league in the world , its why i trade it week in week out , like steve bruce coming to weds top 6 place you was trading at 150 i jumped on manager bounce 5 weeks later your trading at 35 easy money , as i said the other week lay leeds get a summer holiday out of it 1.44 now 3 weeks later 22s thats why i love the championship ,the prem is to easy to predict , like next season i will ask you for your top 6 in prem and i bet we both pick the same and be right , now top 6 in championship we would both pick different and both be wrong !!

Cheers - hopefully will give City a good game at least.

Sure you will get revenge this weekend - seems to happen a lot when we've met before in League and Cup.

This post is great blademan, you’re suggesting it isn’t over whilst simultaneously proving that it is.

You sound like a manager, that's what Wilder will be saying.
In practice you're right, but in theory Ipswich at home it won't get laid on a plate like this again, but despite everyone else knowing your up, to the nervous fans of the clubs in question there is always that worry that you could still fuck it up.
I think it's ingrained in all fans.

Our not are.

Didn't read the rest as I couldn't find where one sentence began and another ended.

We've got an enthusiastic young fan with learning disability on Deva Chat, who's posts are often difficult to decipher. When that fact was pointed out, the people who were judging him made more of an effort to try and understand what he was trying to say and that his enthusiasm was worth the effort.

Would be the fuck up of all fuck ups, I said after the wall game we still had a great chance, things are different than ever before under wilder, a lot of the team have experienced promotion in the last 2 years I do not expect and didnt expect them to falter and so far they haven't. Theres a good chance we might only need a point in the 2 games anyway. Although 6 points would be nice and villa to win there last match, champions would be superb but 3 points Saturday please before that becomes reality.
