Us. Yeovil, Lincoln, Chesterfield and Notts but they never ever beat us.

Oh sorry, thought this was the mid table thread :ffs:

Whereas I think our fans would be expecting a home win over Barnet Saturday, it's going to be a tough game and they're fighting for their lives.

Swindon away Newport home Exeter away Coventry home follows, if we can gain 9 or more points from those 5 games I'll be delighted

Agreed Adam. The 'easier' games will be those against the mid/lower-mid table sides.

Accrington's Feb fixtures:
H Stevenage

A Coventry

Really looking forward to the Coventry game - new ground for us and it's only £5 tickets!

In fairness, you should be looking to get 15 points from that lot. Swindon won't fancy the trip up north in Feb.

We need to really pick up over these next four games - Cambridge, Cheltenham, Crawley and Crewe - because from there we have Coventry, Mansfield and then another couple of local games in Chesterfield and Grimsby.

Can't recall the gap between us and the PO's before KO but I don't think we've lost any ground. We're doing a Mansfield at the minute and drawing too many.

Next 3 games - Stevenage (A) which is never ever easy (apart from the 7-1 this season) and then 2 home games v Crawley/Cheltenham. We have a Saturday off in between because Coventry are in the Last 16 of the FA Cup.

We need to be looking at a full house this month with those matches. That would take us to 72 points after 34 games and nearly there. The target has to be 85.

Can't imagine impish is happy for the Lincoln galacticos that'll certainly finish in the top 3 (in their words) struggling so badly against 10 men

Just trying to establish whether any Lincoln fans felt the same? I mean fair play to impish for being so certain, I'd love to know what else the crystal ball of his has to tell.

In all honesty, our injuries are starting to worry me. We currently have six first choice defenders out plus a few others struggling to keep or stay fit. The good news is we have a week off, but then we play five games in fifteen days.
Beat Wycombe though and I'll be upbeat

We'll need to play a lot better than we did today to get anywhere near the playoffs let alone the top 3.
Swindon looked a very organised side and we struggled to break them down on our glue pot of a pitch.

So just looking at the table, every team has now played 30-31 games and now going into the last third of the season.

Obviously Luton are in the strongest position, 8 points clear of 2nd place and 10 points clear of 4th place. So every team has to win at least 3 more games than us between now and the end of the season, which includes games in credit (they've still got to win them).

There was a cheer inside Kenilworth Road last night over Wycombe "losing" 3-2. In reality, its made a difference, but not that much of a difference as they are in a large group of chasers below.

Wycombe are on a fantastic run and has propelled them into 2nd, but it has to come to an end some time. They have been involved in some high scoring, tight wins. Won both games, but conceded 5 this week. The elderly front line won't keep slotting them in to bail out the defence.

The play off race doesn't seem as tight as usual - Crawley in 12th place are 6 points off the play offs. Perfectly possible, but seems unlikely themselves and anyone else in a significantly worse position than them (Carlisle another 4 points further back) will grab 7th.

Mansfield are the form team of the division currently, three wins on the trot, and performances are only getting better. Rest of February does look tough but we have a good record against the top lot generally.

Still don't feel too confident though, good run always has a end point and for some reason I fancy Swindon to be the first team to manage the double on Saturday.

Just looking at our fixture list - we've got Mansfield on Easter Monday (game 41); the matches we have in the next few weeks could well be more important than that one. We could already be around the 80 point mark by that stage and almost there, if not on that particular fixture we secure it. Not that I'm looking too far ahead.

If we can get 5 or more points from Swindon and Exeter away and Coventry at home ill be more confident

It's those 2 draws against Exeter and Luton at home where we completely and utterly crucified them but didn't take our chances that could count in the end

Yawn, crucify is over egging it. I hope that we give Evans something more to moan about in two weeks time

No idea how possible it is (i.e. if games in hand are against each other), but if everyone were to win their games in hand...

1 Luton 31 63
2 Wycombe 31 58
3 Accrington 31 58
---------------------------
4 Notts Co 31 57
5 Exeter 31 57
6 Mansfield 31 56
7 Swindon 31 54
---------------------------
8 Coventry 31 53
9 Lincoln 31 52

Maybe, given our record at your place it was a surprise to lose to you last season. We gave you that belief to go on that bloody brilliant run you went on :bg:, you can't say he's not a nice guy

Hi, form team goes on points earned, not who you have played you bulb.

We have a good record against the top lot anyway, including beating High Wycombe!

Never expected the win at Wycombe, we tend to come unstuck against ainsworths underhand tactics (much like steve evans tactics, they're usually successful).

Wycombe seem to be on a similar trajectory to us this season, recall ainsworth being particularly unwanted October time by the home fans.
