we are asking for £3.5m from chelsea but still waiting on tribunal for that. i suspect it will end up being negotiated out to around 3m - probably will happen around april/may. They offered us 2m which we turned down.

watkins was 1.75m plus addons and apperance fees.
wheeler was only like 750k or something.

we have had a lot of sell-ons and addons as well recently, I think over 1m.

Outgoing expenses we only have Stockley from Aberdeen for 100k.

Edit: we also sold Reid this month to FGR for apparently 400k...?

Feb/early March is make or break stuff for us. We've got Accrington on the 10th with Colchester away on the 13th, then the 5th round of the cup followed by Mansfield on the 24th, Wycombe on the 27th and Lincoln on the 3rd. A good return from that would probably put us in good standings for the autos.

Crazily tight now with just four points separating 2nd and 9th. We need to make the most of a decent little run now, in our next 7 games the highest team we play is Newport in 10th. Hopefully Nolan has ditched the 4-5-1 system that has probably cost us 4 points in the last two after a good showing v Swansea, where we went back to two strikers, and we can get back on track. A lot of the teams around us seem to be playing each other in Feb - we have to take advantage.

Our three games in hand (Including our match tonight) are very winnable. We win our games in hand and we overtake Wycombe and are just 3 points behind Luton with them to play as well. Games in hands against the likes of FGR and Yeovil. Puts us in a very good position, even though we're down to 9th at the moment. Quietly confident and seem to be going under the radar as well with lots of teams forgetting about us.

Me either I was in the stand you guys will be in Saturday and had a great view of the goals in the second half
Yet another div 4 team claiming to be Manchester City/ Barcelona
We play with two 5 8 wingers and two centre midfielders who are of a similar height, yes we have some big players tell me team at this level the doesn't.
Newport are the first team ages who didn't spend half the game rolling around at the slightest touch, proper game last night, both teams going for it.

If we stick with what we are good at and not throwing every single new signing in straight away I am confident of a top 3 place come March.

Not sure if this was aimed at ID's comment, but we at Swindon play an awful brand of hoof football, we couldn't be any different to Man City/Barcelona.

last night's game at Stevenage seemed to be a competition as to which defender could head the furthest and which goalkeeper could clear the ball the highest and longest. I think at one stage Charles Reece Cook took a kickout from hand that must have been in the air about 30 seconds. Shockingly bad football, not sure we put together more than about 5 passes in one move.

I think you have misconstrued my post. We tend to launch it ad nauseum and it’s generally not pretty to watch. I was just asking if you are similar. Yesterday’s game at Stevenage must rank as the worst of the worst.

FWIW I don't think you have been underestimated at all. Exeter were always going to be there or thereabouts at the end.

Only us out of the top 6 are actually putting their money where their fans mouths are by failing to win games and finding ways to lose.

But then again until recently, it’s been almost everyone else playing catch up so can’t complain

I’ve noticed that, why is that?
Something to do with going into non league football in recent seasons?
I guess when you get back into the FL and do well in the 4th tier it goes to some people’s heads

Lovely city Lincoln, I highly recommend it to visit especially for the Xmas Market (go Friday evening and stay over) marvellous stuff

Same here - our next five games after FGR on Saturday are Accrington, Colchester, Mansfield, Wycombe, and Lincoln, which will make or break our season.
