"as we knew to our own cost before he got an ASBO on Exeweb"

Please tell us more about this as I'm not going to respond to him any longer as he's a monumental pain in the arse that's just a monotonous, repetitive trolling bore and I urge people to just ignore.

You do have to forgive dear old DL.
He does tend to get a tad over-over-over-enthusiastic at time (as we knew to our own cost before he got an ASBO on Exeweb) but I'm sure that he still feels that his heart is still in the "RIGHT" place. :pond:
As for the majority of we other Grecians - just enjoying the ride. After 112 years of (mostly) mediocrity its nice not to have been worrying about relegation battles for a few seasons now as our tiny numbers huddle in our miniscule apology for a "stadium" just dreading the bursting of the bubble.
Well, at least you know your place!

Will say to more - just got a bit too "over-enthusiastic" during all of the Brexit debates.

Would never "grass up" any fellow Grecian - or any other well-meaning supporter of any other clubs (except, perhaps, that one in Cornwall) but best to be treated with a large pinch of the old salt & vinegar (and, perhaps, a bit of semi-ironic humour) before replying with a crisp response.

PS: Looking forward to Feb 1 btw already Mr S! Should be a good 'un.
County Ground is still a good "old school" venue not too far from the centre. Always been a nice visit in the past.

I've spotted that before. Is that something to do with that Victorian pencil Rees-Mogg?

Moggmentum is an online conservative campaign and grassroots movement supporting Jacob Rees-Mogg,

Seems to be.

Cheers - FWIW we have a similar politics style thread on our forum which has been fairly heated since Brexit and the recent GE so can understand that these things can get heated.

Yeah I am looking forward to Feb 1 as well GG, I've been to a few Swindon v Exeter games over the last few years where you have given us the runaround. This is the first game in ages where I feel we are on an equal standing with you guys and it should be a cracking game with a big crowd. As it currently stands, not losing to Exeter would be ideal. No doubt Mr Ajose has other ideas! Has he been playing much recently?

No. Nicky A is only just back from his long-term injury so King Matt T is still carefully nursing him back into the team (just like the "plans he made" for the similarly crocked midfield rock that is Big Nigel Atangana - and that seems to be working out well so far - give or take the occasional red card!).

Suspect Nicky A may not quite be ready for a full 90 mins so soon. Perhaps save him for when the pitches (and his legs) are even better ready for the final run in?

When will you morons understand that nothing is guaranteed until May. Year after year you set yourselves up for a colossal failure and once again you are playing the same tune! In true Kevin Keegan fashion....I would LUV IT if you messed this up (again) hehe
It’s only Devon Lad to be fair, the other Exeter fans while of course being optimistic given their current position, are not obnoxious bell ends like he is.

one or 2 do have their moments but I agree that on the whole the Exeter crew are generally good on here apart from the aforementioned Devon Piers Morgan.

And I will extend that kindness further by saying that Swindon were the best side I've seen us play this season. There might be a little bit of stating the obvious in this when you're (joint) top but you actually played an entertaining style of high tempo football against us at SJP. I'd rather a side was promoted playing that way than by doing a Wycombe.

Argyle were, by far, the worst since nobody asked.

He knows where the goal is so would rather someone else did the scoring for Exeter if you must score any goals!

Annoyingly I did a pre-season EW top scorer accumulator with Raheem Sterling, Alexander Mitrovic and Mo Eisa who are doing well. Ajose was my League 2 choice! Doh!

Fecking hell. Broken records or what - I can't blame you for incorrectly thinking that, as it's all you and the Swindon lot go on about. When you repeat nonsense enough times over and over, then you clearly start to believe it yourselves. I never guaranteed us promotion last season, I predicted (wrongly) we'd get it. I never once guaranteed it and said we are definitely going up - Look at the prediction thread from the start of the season and look how many teams you got wrong ffs. I don't chirp on about that like I'm a broken record do I, you degenerate.

Tranmere I got wrong - What's your point exactly? There must be a massive point here that you're going to enlighten me on, as it's clearly a fucking huge deal to you. Christ, flick back through your posts, you get more wrong than anyone else, it's fascinating that 7 months on you're still going on about it. It's because I don't get a lot wrong and you have to mention it in nearly every single post that you respond to me.

Mid-table mediocracy. And I'm happy to put a £50.00 bet on it with you that you don't reach the play-offs, you're shite. Winnings obviously go to charity. Hopefully if you have the balls to take us up on this offer, you'll stop mentioning every 5 minutes that I wrongly said Tranmere wouldn't go up, it's incredibly bizarre, ejaculating over someone predicting something wrong in football - Like you do every single week.

Yep. You in a nutshell right there.

Got Macclesfield tonight. We haven't won in the league there and almost always produce shaky performances. A 4-1 hammering in the freezing cold in 09-10, a dire 1-0 loss the season after. Then we had a 2-2 draw in our promotion season where we went behind after dominating, turned it around through 2 Nick Powell goals and then shit the bed to concede again. Oh and then there was the mental game last season, where we led 3 times and blew it 3 times, including going ahead in the 95th minute only to concede in the 97th.

Given our next 3 away games are 2 mid-table teams and a fellow promotion chaser, we could do with winning this. I'll take a scrappy 1-0/2-1 any day of the week. With Northampton and Bradford both playing, we need to avoid a loss at any rate.

Never realised he'd managed you.
We were 3 unbeaten at the start of the 1939 season, so with my delusional optimism that meant we would have gone on to sweep everybody aside and climb to the lofty heights of the 2nd tier and change ECFC history forever. I'm going for a lie down now

Well most Vale fans including me have said mid table is fine, we are in transition after being pillaged for 3 years, although currently in promotion form over the last 5 and only lost 7 we've drawn too many over the season so why would I bet £50.00 on something I consider the most likely outcome!

We said we are in the promotion race, which currently 3 points off the top 7 we are... at no point did anyone say we would make it.

That's what I thought. Mid table meritocracy. That's all you are and that's all I said, so stop trying to argue with me when calling out your nonsense about you being in this promotion race. Shame you decided to back-peddle so quickly, a £50 charity wager based on your previous posts would've been good.

You do have to forgive dear old DL.

What are you on about, an ASBO on Exeweb?

No you said we were not in the promotion race... which currently 3 points off it we are... if we end up Mid Table it will be seen as acceptable in a season of transition.

We are currently a top 10 side and probably will end up 10th (we've been there for months now!)

Sorry to desert my green friends, but I think Exeter are looking very good for the top three places. Their defence is parsimonious, they have a creative midfield and they are scoring enough goals. I am not convinced they will fall away this time. The only issue I can see is the depth of their squad if they lose a few key people. I am beginning to feel there may be two sides from Devon in League One next year. And I would be delighted at that.

At the moment the form teams seem to be Exeter, Saints and us, with a slight wobble for Crewe and Swindon. There is a long way to go, but I feel that the top three will come from these five.

Strong rumour today that Jerry Yates is being recalled by Rotherham.

That's really going to put us in a pickle which was always the danger if you are relying heavily on loan centre forwards.

Massive blow for Swindon. Going to be very tough to replace the two players who have scored 35 or there 49 goals this season.

That’s really unfortunate, but it could pave the way for Eoin Doyle.

But we’re yet to receive any kind of bid for any player this Jan window.

Tbf, your club said it hadn’t received any ‘significant’ bid for Doyle.

That sounds more like us!
