Aye I suppose people could say with us if you can find a way to beat the press then we are a hell of a lot easier to beat as a lot of what we do is centred on that. When it works it’s my favourite style of football to watch as it is exciting and fast paced but if it doesn’t it leads to almost certain defeat for us.

I am going to put it out there than Northampton are one of only 6 sides who we haven't beaten this season (5 if we win tomorrow)...

1-0 on Agg over the regular season, two dire games and we played 30 minutes with 10 men but they got the job done home and a decent 0-0 at VP.

If you look at the potential other sides we have beaten the rest, Bristol Rovers, Swindon, Mansfield, Sutton United at once (although 3 of the 4 have also beaten us!)

I would rather face Cobblers than Rovers if we finish 7th mind but then Rovers without Coutts who was huge for them against us? plus's and minus's to all of them really, as I have said whoever is in the play offs its likely to be 4 sides separated over 46 games by 4/5 points max, all are fairly even.

Yeah I reckon you’ll do it quite comfortably say 2-0. The one question mark I have with Northampton is if you fall behind. Your team has a certain way of playing that I don’t think is ideal for turning games round if the opposition score first. Might be wrong but that’s just my perception.
Northampton couldn't even get a point when they played us at home - what makes you think they'll do better this time.... we haven't done the double over anyone yet either... But we managed it against 1 team last season - Cheltenham.....

Because it was a one off game which has no real bearing on tomorrow. Oldham beat us earlier this season and Scunny beat Tranmere as two other examples but more often than not you’d expect the team with the greater quality to win and I think this will be the case again.

Got a feeling that Bristol Rovers will do it…..

Having said that, Northampton took no prisoners against us a few weeks ago and were ruthless.

Two teams, didn’t you do double over Mansfield as well.

Not a chance Northampton are dropping points tomorrow

It’s in the bag.

After seeing MK lose last night after going for it against Argyle, I’d rather take a simple 1-0 tomorrow and just hope Northampton drop points

I think BR fans are just trying to put expectation in the minds of Northampton fans so they get nervous if they don't score early and pass the nervousness onto the side. A bit of psychology from BR fans maybe.

Of course not. its in Northampton's hands to win/lose it as there is no way we are pulling back that GD. It's as simple as that.

In all honesty we played with 10 men since the 16th minute and still looked the better side. Hopefully the ref will be improved if we meet in the pray offs

We murdered you first half, lost two attackers (both wingers as all our strikers were crocked) at half time and played the second half with a winger and centre midfielder in attack and had 9 defensive lads on and had to dig in.

Both reds were pretty standard one off the ball and one a last man? Referee made up for it a couple of weeks ago when he somehow didn't send Coutts off first half!

You are not wrong at all, thats spot on. I dont think we have turned a deficit into a victory all season so the first goal is absolutely going to be key. Our defensive record has been fantastic, but along with that going more expansive chasing the game does not suit us at all.

I know Barrow will be no pushovers but they have nothing to play for other than personal pride (and perhaps a final display to help their contract talks). But surely they will not be at full tilt with nothing else on the line.

Think we will just do it. Seems to essentially be two tiers of L1 now anyway, big budgets and little budgets
(just switch Charlton and Accrington around and its pretty much top 12 and bottom 12). Think whoever goes up will be bottom half next season anyway.

Thats probably up there with the worst we played all season, we absolutely deserved nothing out of that game. Play like that tomorrow and we dont deserve to go up!

To be fair to both Walsall and Newport they had nothing to play for and both were really up for it, so doesn't really matter too much on that as less pressure for instance.

I think the Northampton one is a real 50/50 as to how it will pan out.

Rovers will be 5-0 by half time tomorrow, Scunthorpe are terrible and playing the kids.

Fuck it at this rate I’m putting money on Swindon to go up in the autos
Tbh, just for fun I put a fiver on the 5 results needed for us to get auto. Over £6000 return tells you the chances of that happening. Scunny are 16/1 to win.

Apparently Ladbrookes/Coral are offering 33/1 Scunny to win. Sheer madness

Probably checking out Elliot Anderson to see if someone needs sacking for choosing Matty Longstaff

Makes me laugh in regards to Longstaff, Some of our fans actually thought we were signing a Premier League calibure player on loan in the 4th tier FFS
