Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
I don't think the comments from Carragher, Gerrard or anyone else really affected his decision too much. He wanted to leave long before they came out and said what they said publicly about him.

They didn't half come across as bitter though...

Outstanding talent will take the premiership by storm now he is at a proper big club fighting for the title each year. I think he can go right to the top.

Most Liverpool players and fans are bitter they think they have a right to eat from the top table even though they haven't won the title for 20+ years.

Deluded everyone of them.......Steve Mcmananman is ok to be fair.

Nice dig at Liverpool from Raheem, this lad is growing on me.

Raheem Sterling admitted he was delighted to finally become a Manchester City player and says he excited by the prospect to play for a title challenging club playing alongside new team-mates he describes as ‘world class’

No bitter Liverpool fans on here, though every post you do about them looks that way. ;)

You've been uncharacteristically quiet with regards to footballing matters lately Salty my man, something wrong?

I would hazard a guess at no competitive football being played.

So Pellegrini has stated that he won't play in the first friendly against Melbourne this weekend.

It's started... HE'S NEVER GOING TO GET OFF THE BENCH.... #careerruined.

Flop. Flop. Flop.

It would be interesting to see what the criteria is for that. Clearly it's different for every signing. (You can expect more from a £50m signing than a bosman and it'd be harsh to call a Villa player a flop for not winning the League)

I've seen people listing Adam Johnson as a flop in their list of 'every England player city have ever signed have failed' and he was there for two and a half years, played 97 games and won the League and FA Cup before being sold at a profit. Gerard was apparently a 'failure' for only winning what he did and no PL. What is the sliding scale from 'flop' to 'signing of the century'

There's probably another thread in this.

Been a long season and watched the Copa America, I'm footballed out currently. Still perusing the boards though, just not having the energy to post much just now :)

Not sure on the sliding scale but i'd expect 20+ combined goals and assists from Sterling next season. that would be about par i reckon. Di Maria got 14 and was labelled a flop but was £12m more expensive i suppose.

Sterling got 13 goals and 9 assists last season (if the figures i found are correct) and playing with far better players this season you'd expect him to better that.

How do we like him at City so far? Looked class in the bits of the trip to WBA I saw. Didn't catch yesterday's game.

He was their worst player against WBA. He was a decent outlet yesterday though, looks a bit mediocre alongside Silva & Aguero but I suppose that's be expected.

Worst player? He didn't set the world alight by any means but he was far from poor.

Having him in the side gives us a genuine counter attacking threat something we desperatley lacked last season.

I thought he was fairly anonymous against WBA to be honest - and should have really buried his chance when through on goal. Whilst not spectacular yesterday there was clear improvement and the parternership he is beginning to forge with Kolarov looks promising.

Hefty price tag to live up to thats for sure. Early days, but we look a better side with him in I'd say.

If you sign Kevin De Bruyne as well, where would that Sterling in terms of positioning? A front four of De Bruyne, Silva, Sterling and Aguero is frightening.

I didn't say he was poor, I said he was their worst player which is a fair. Citeh annihilated West Brom, it was probably nigh on impossible for any of Citeh's forwards to have a bad game given the way West Brom set up.

Sterling doesn't seem to possess the awareness that the best forward players have. He needs a few seconds to decide what he's gonna do when he gets the ball. He needs to sort that shit out to live up to his price tag.
