Still not seen the Milky Way with the naked eye, despite living in an area now where there is little light pollution. Need to go farther out in the countryside I reckon. Getting a reflector telescope one day anyway so I'm sure I will see it before long.

Thank God that Germany won't play the group matches at Volgograd (the former Stalingrad) in the World Cup 2018 so we won't get BILD Headlines like " SIEG! Deutschland gewinnt Schlacht von Stalingrad" (Victory! Germany wins battle of Stalingrad)".


edit: Aside from this above garbage commentary: The Silvermedal in Icehockey last weekend was the biggest success for Germany in Icehockey.
We won Bronze in 1932 and 1976 and that's it. Now winning against Sweden (World Champ) and Canada (Olympic Champ) and even have the Russians at the brink of a loss in the final (3-2 with only 56sec to play, but 56 sec in Icehockey is a very long time) was a great achievement. Icehockey was the only event I watched from the Winter Olympics (although we were behind Norway the most successful nation with 14 Goldmedals)
