I disagree with you -- MKD are the old/original Wimbledon. AFC Wimbledon are a new club. I know a lot of people will not like/even detest that statement but its the truth.
Ah Bristol, as we all know "bristols" are another name for tits, and George you have made a right tit of yourself this time.

I respect everyone's opinion, including George's, but I think it's ridiculous to believe that MK are the proper Dons. Thing is there are several more football fans who share George's opinion, but I have yet to be convinced (and probably never will) by their arguments.

Sorry but I disagree -- Surely it was the old club that was Wimbledon that left South London / Re-located to Milton Keynes that were the original club. You know the one that beat Liverpool in the FA final. I thought AFC Wimbledon wer'nt founded until 2002.
Also not very clever to start calling people names over the Internet.

Got to disagree here george. To me afc Wimbledon are the original Wimbledon, I don't even like using the afc bit tbh. Wimbledon are the club I associate with those rag tag chancers ( meant as a compliment ) who got to the top league and achieved the impossible at Wembley. Mk mean nothing to me apart from being an aberration which will hopefully never be repeated.

I am afraid you are wrong Aber, AFC was started while the old Wimbledon club was still at Selhurst Park.

How can I be wrong with my personal associations ? It doesn't really matter what the timeline was. It's only my opinion mush.

I don't really have anything against MK Dons as a club, or their fans... It's just how they came to exist that was an abberation. Had they gotten into the league the normal way, all would have been fine, but they didn't, and instead nicked Wimbledon's body, Wimbledon had to get back into the league, but now they had. Now that's happened you could say we're not far off normalising. Milton Keynes is a big place and a professional club from there was always likely to gather pace until they became an average league team, but they skipped a lot of the build up. Wimbledon had the fans they always had, and will soon have the ground they should have always had, if the propels them up a division or two you could say things ended up not too different to how they would have anyway. There will always be disgruntlement about how MK Dons came to be, but they're always good for three points at least.

you know, via past posts,i sympathize with afc wimbledon's plight but...
the hate for mkd is more for the fact to what they did to the local teams i.e. bletchley fc
and milton keynes fc,both established local football clubs, who could have benefited "a la" salford city with investment etc.
fucking franchise shits!!

Not trolling at all -- This is my honest opinion. Never said I liked what happened because I didn't but that's my opinion.
