Rochdale fan so probably in the wrong place, but realistically we'll be back sooner or later - and after all, this Division was once named after us!

Born in Cannock, so quite like Walsall, of a Yorkshire heritage so like Leeds, Hull and AFC Goole. Nothing against Bradford, Huddersfield, Barnsley or Donny, but curl my lip at Sheffield (either) and Rotherham - too "Southern" by far. Of our neighbours, prefer Bury to Oldham, try and ignore Wigan, prefer Preston to Blackpool, Burnley to Blackburn, and Accy to the previous four.

Just had a thought - who are the longest serving team down here? Is it the "Morecambe Division" these days...

Morecambe are entering into their 13th consecutive season down here - quite an achievement, really.

Exeter City have spent the most number of seasons down in the basement divisions (of the teams currently in L2) - 41 years in total.

Bradford fan here.

Born and bred in Leeds, exiled in Ashton (The Curzon variety, not the Wigan one).

Thought we'd escaped this hell hole never to return again.

Stopped using the forum last 12-18 months but need some laughs being in L2 again so here I am.

Dislike Leeds (dirty), Huddersfield (family), and Salford (media luvvies).

Up by Christmas.

Hedonist Puncture here, an overseas foreigner who supports Scunny.

I see my name mentioned earlier in this thread, so thought I would post, if only to swell Scunny supporter numbers to two (with Bottega Don).

Not particularly looking forward to the new season, more of a leftover from the last one I suspect. We were dreadful last year and are showing some similar signs in the recent pre-season games with our slow starts and our defence that shatters when a goal is scored against it. The only consolation is that the last time we were at this level, the standard was appalling and we went straight back up. Will be interesting to see what standard L2 has reached. I just hope that we have enough to stay up this season.

All the best to fellow L2 fans, except when you play us, when I really hope we can ruin your day :2thumb:.

Crawley fan for too many years. Southern league, Southern Division to league one and a drop back a tad. Seen us finish a season with about 19 points, win the AGM cup in the Southern league and seen us reach 12th in league one. I've been here when we haven't had a pot to piss in and when we had so much dosh everyone hated us.

Personally don't dislike any club but I did get fed up with the entitlement spouted by Wimbledon fans. I'm aware most legacy league fans want us to piss off.

We are going to struggle. We are always going to struggle at this level and probably the National league level too. I'm resigned to it.

I work shifts and refuse to use holiday to watch a normal game of league football so I get to about fifteen games a season.

Leyton Orient fan and season ticket holder since 1995, missed only around 15 home games in that period.

Since August 2004 I have probably missed around 15 games in all competitions since then, attending every single match in a season on 7 occassions: 2006/07, 2007/08, 2008/09, 2011/12, 2013/14, 2015/16 & 2018/19.

Miss the odd game due to England games from time to time, but packing that in after October and other commitments which do come up.

You are more likely to see me in a programme/coffee shop than a pub. I also like ground hopping, but draw the line at the 92 and when my team plays at a new ground.

Don't dislike any other clubs, I just bear grudges on match officials.

Grimsby fan. Born in Chatham, moved to Immingham aged 1. Moved to Lincoln when I was 19. Been here 13 years. Get to a handful of games a season as it's just too expensive to be honest.

Dislike MK Dons, plastics, the Tories and unfounded preseason optimism.

Crewe fan i used to go every game home and away. Once didn't miss a game in about 5 years now tend to go about 3/4 of the home games and a handful away from home.

Dislike: Port Vale/Stoke city and any anti football, longball, kick lumps out of you and cheat teams, which probably covers about two thirds of the teams down here.

Vale fan(you may have guessed), 50th anniversary of my first game this season. Dislike teams at this level who claim to play the "right way", as this usually involves a lot of diving and child abuse.

Long suffering Newport County supporter of 40+ years. Newport born and bred and still live in town.

Currently living the dream back in league football and have thoroughly enjoyed the past few seasons under JEd and Flynny. 4 trips to Wembley in last 7 years is bonkers really, having watched us in various pub leagues across the country since the late 80s.

As someone from Newport the only real rival is Cardiff in whatever sport / aspect of life you care to mention.

Too many pussies watching and playing football these days - obviously all from our opponents, and officials are generally an anti-Welsh disgrace.

Biggest challenge is developing our fan base which is slowly happening, more Newport shirts round the place than 10 years ago for sure. And also securing our own stadium or as is more likely agreeing a long term lease with the WRU at Dave.

Swindon supporter here , followed the Robin's since the late sixties , first game I attended was a FA cup game against Scunthorpe', beat them 4 1, they had a young Keegan playing for them.
Match was on Match of the day, and I've a staring role on it ........well I'm in a shot !
Don Roger's is taking a corner and there a bunch of kids close to the fence on the Stratton bank, I'm next to the lad with school cap on....
I've worked for the club , having been the press box steward during the Macari and Ozzie Ardilesi years, some of the best football Swindon has played happened during the mid 80s to the mid 90s, our golden age, lol
I live about 16 miles from the county ground, dont go as much these days, age is catching up , but much prefer going to away games , more atmosphere, more laughs I suppose I do half a dozen home games and about the same away depending on how far my wallet is .
One last thing i want my ashes spread on the pitch!

My first Rovers game was in 2005, our second last season at the old ground, I also went to a few the following season and followed the team when it relocated further up the hill. I had started going not long after moving to the West Country as I wanted to follow a local team and enjoyed the fact that non-league was generally more accessible, and fun, than going to watch a Football League team.

It took me a few seasons to really get into the team, during which time it was a bit of a struggle, for the last 7-8 years I have had a season ticket and rarely miss a home game. I do go to an occasional away game, but am generally fairly selective which ones they are, it usually needs to be somewhere that there are attractions or places of interest away from the football.

Oldham Athletic fan. Born and bred in Kent, now living in London. Dad took me to my first game at Boundary Park when I was 2 but always said I could support one of the ‘bigger’ more local clubs if I wanted. I chose Latics and since then it’s been a rollercoaster of 20 odd years in league 1 and a relegation to league 2. As much as I hate what’s happening to my club, do I regret that decision? Do I f***!

Tend to get to a couple of home game a season and around 15 away games.

Don’t dislike anyone in this league (except Salford) and have respect for anyone following their team at this level. Man United are the only team I’d actively enjoy watching go bust.

If I remember correctly, you were a right little WUM on TFF. Was your name Grecian O' Grecian or something similar?
