Gallagher has had his extension activated and is staying for next season.

We have offered deals to C.Walker, Beckles, Alexander and Saville.

Lathrope will be monitored over the summer (assume this is because he is still recovering from injury) and Browne, Oliver, Oastler and Richards are on holiday so no discussions have taken place (Of those 4 I expect only Browne would be offered something, maybe Oastler too).

The other 7 players (D.Walker, Barker, Smith, Thomas, McGinty, Stevenson and Hatton) have all been released

http://www.theshots.co.uk/gallagher-extends-seven-released/

If i'm honest there aren't too many surprises with our released/offered contracts announcement, with the exception of Saville (although that is only because he didn't play a lot for us last season but then again was Waddock at Barnet with Saville when they won the conference?)

He's not simply holding fire, Jackson has rejected an offer, so presumably wants more money if he's going to be tempted to stay because he's confident he'll get better offers elsewhere. The question is, how much do we push the boat out for a player like Jackson? He's got something, but is still miles off the finished product. How much do you gamble on him progressing again nest season?

Personally I think he's worth a gamble. Not being held to ransom but he's got something.

I suppose at the very least we'll get some money for him as we've offered him a contract.

I think Waddock has got it spot on - hope we can keep Browne and would like to see Lathrope re-signed but wouldn't be devastated to see him go.
Glad that we've got rid of Smith and Hatton, don't think I could have handled another season with those two playing.

Lathrope is probably the hardest decision for Waddock because when he is on the pitch he is as good as most midfielders in this division but it would mean gambling on his fitness which i'm not sure we will be able to do - especially with no emergency loan window next season!

As had been said, Smith being released by Wrexham is a surprise, as is Moke and possibly York. I really hope we have an interest in Kayden Jackson.

Jackson must have had a great second half to the season, but for the Welsh FA and FIFA we would have had him on a minimum two month loan between dec-feb.

We've announced ours
http://www.harriers.co.uk/news/arti...ve-aggborough-3097027.aspx#qRuheIT6HykPPQ5d.9

Dean Snedker, Jordan Jones, Gurjit Singh, Reece Hales, Jono Brown, Aman Verma and Lathaniel Rowe-Turner are being released

Snedker could well get another club at this level and Verma is available for Torquay.

Offered new deals are Evan Garnett, Omari Patrick, Keith Lowe and James McQuilkin.

Hodgkiss has trigged a clause that forces us to offer an extension.

And tied down for next season so far; Elton Ngwatala, Ousmane Fane, Tyrone Williams, Arthur Gnahoua, Zaine Francis-Angol, Kennedy Digie, Ben Clarke, Jordan Tunnicliffe, Dan Sweeney, George Forsyth, Nathan Millichamp, James Hancocks and George Taylor.

EDIT Langmead and sadly Whitfield return to their parent clubs
18 players there if everybody signs new deals.

I'm guessing you won't be bringing in too many new arrivals?

He did have a great end to the season. Looked our biggest threat. He may have only scored 4 goals but showed a lot of potential. He got an England C call up off the back of his form, a game in which he scored in I believe.

I think the only game he showed a glimpse of what he's capable of in the first half of the season, without ever looking like scoring, was Woking away. It was no surprise that Mills was trying to loan him out. Most improved player for us this season. Maybe the only player who has improved. Still needs to find the net more frequently.

EDIT

Actually, thinking about it, that was his only start in the first half of the season and we were playing 2 rather than 3 up front, which seems to suit him better.

We need 2 goalkeepers a winger maybe 2 and a big striker definitely, then some squad players from local areas.

The majority of those who are retained are youth players who have been playing for our academy and haven't made a first team appearance. I expect we'll see more of some of them next year, but they are unlikely to take up a huge part of the budget. Presuming all those offered something sign, we'll still need 2 goalkeepers, a LB, a CB, a winger and a striker.

I wonder whether Askey would be interested in having Moke back next season. Another central midfielder would be useful with Danny Whitehead leaving and he'd be able to go back out on the wing if needed.
I'd have thought JA will have been in his ear definitely.

James Gray would be a decent signing for you guys. Manchester based and currently serving a driving ban so someone local would be good for him. Early season he looked excellent I thought.

We'll have to watch our budget over the summer but I wouldn't be completely surprised to see us raid the Wrexham scrapheap over the summer. I'll wait and see what our retained list looks like. I expect the majority of this season's squad will be offered new contracts, although it will be down to the players as to whether they sign them or not. Sutherland's the only one tied down for next season but word is that Ritchie Branagan had signed a new contract today as well. Good news if true, he won the match by himself at Tranmere with his saves.

Wes York should pick a middle of the road Conference club up too, everyone down here loves a pacey winger with no brains but who can chip in with 10 goals a season.

Brabin has just released a couple of his fat freinds in gary taylor-fletcher and speedy higdon
Didn't think GTF did that badly for us in the end, lost a bit of weight and paced himself during games.

The usual Gary Brabin process is underway. Brabin will sign some good players. Get everyone all excited about the new season, then when the season rolls around he'll mess it all up again.

I don't have the confidence he'll sign anyone decent and doubt even recruiting Lionel Messi would be enough to get many Rovers fans excited about next season under Brabin.

We've also released Marcus Holness and 3 youngsters, only Ben Jago having any first team experience

Dan Holman, Danny Wright, Dan Parslow, Kyle Storer and Asa Hall all sign new contracts. Absolutely brilliant!

Munns, Waters, Rowe, Barthram and Dayton all signed up with Morgan-Smith and Downes verbally agreed. Now have the majority of our squad on board for next season less than a week after the season ended, not bad.

Wait? You've offered Amari Morgan Smith a contract?!

Very pleased with retained/released list, almost spot on.

Disappointing Jackson has rejected after a third of a good season, but if he's got a FL club lined up then fair play to him.

Well we've got him on a short term deal over summer with a longer deal (would guess 1 year) agreed if he can prove his fitness. Before his injury he was doing well but then was out for 5 months and never quite looked the same after that.

Edited to reflect what I think is actually happening :bg:

He's a good player, with bags of potential, but he needs a big man to play off in my book (not Mark Beck). Gary Mills doesn't strike me as the kind of bloke who responds positively to mercenary behaviour, so I think we've seen the last of him.

When we are at your place he was abysmal. Openly mocked by your own fans who cheered every time he controlled it! Which wasn't very often.

Says a lot that we still lost 2-0

Yeah he wasn't great that day, his only good performance since coming back from injury was home to Grimsby. Hope he can rediscover his early season form although I'm not sure how often he'll play with the Deadly Dans ahead of him.

Would happily sign Verma up. After Berry had his leg snapped in 2 Verma had to become a makeshift RB for the last 10 games or so and actually did a decent job, still he'd be a useful squad player especially in midfield.

Someones posted a silly rumour on our forum saying he's due to sign for ourselves or Chester in the near future. 0/100 chance of that happening.

Eastleigh:-

Players under contract for 2016-17 season:
James Constable
Luke Coulson
Ross Flitney
Michael Green
Dan Harding
Ross Lafayette
Joe Partington
Jai Reason
In addition to these Andy Drury, Jamie Turley, Ben Strevens and Yemi Odubade have all been offered new deals. The conversations held with these players were extremely positive and the club are very hopeful that these players will remain with the club next season.

Lee Cook, Josh Payne, Lewis Noice, Paul Reid, Kaid Mohamed, Jack Midson, Will Evans and Matt Fanimo have all been released and the club would like to thank each of them for their efforts and contributions whilst with us. It was very difficult to release quite a few of these players, some of whom have been with the club for a few years and have given us their total commitment whilst trying to help us progress.

The club has also offered first professional contracts to Tony Lee, James Granger, Jack Smith and Jack Masterton and again these conversations were all positive and we expect to be able to make an announcement shortly confirming the necessary paperwork has been concluded.

That would be a very odd move for him. I think suggestions our end are that his head has been turned by either a league club or a big spending club in our league. Apparently he was offered a contract last month and turned it down. Sounds like his agent is in charge to be honest....so unless you've come into a lot of money I'd be surprised if it's you guys or Chester.
