I think Independent and World Cinema have been where it's at for a long time now tbh. Sure, I love a Hollywood blockbuster as much as the next man but they are getting few and far between now. 3/4 of my film collection is made up of foreign or independent films.

World cinema was good from 1975 to 1988 but since then Venusian movies have deffo been wearing the crown.

Starring Ice Cube's son as erm.. Ice Cube. Actually looks like it could be quite entertaining.

Really looking forward to this one. Not read the novel but the story sounds great and with a cast like that we have to expect something decent, OTT Soviet accents or not.

Surely they've got to up the stakes and go for the millipede sooner or later.

I'm more excited for this than I probably should be.

That Terminator trailer. Fucking SPOILER alert. How and why did they put that in there??

Given that everything Hollywood does nowadays is focus grouped and quantified and measured within an inch of its life I assume someone somewhere has determined that trailers which are essentially 3 minute precis of an entire chuffing film actually translate into better box office returns. So I'm willing to accept that I may be in the minority. But it is unfathomable to me that anyone actually wants this, to sit down and already know pretty much everything that's going to happen in a movie (even down to the one liners!) up until the start of the final reel.

Whilst they have clearly shot their bolt with the Terminator trailer, I can understand them selling Ant-Man much harder.

I was looking forward to seeing Ant-Man, without being truly hopeful for it. Even if they did put their best punch lines in this trailer, I am now convinced that they are going to pull it off. The biggest disappointment for me is that they gave away too much of Yellowjacket. I know most superhero trailers do that these days, but they had enough quality stuff in this trailer to not need to give away the villain too much.

Oh well, super stoked to go and see this movie now.

Not sure what I made of the BvS trailer, obviously it wasn't going to give away much with a year to go but still.

Part of it comes from Man of Steel where they set his powers to rediculous levels, how far the Kryptonian's punched each other, they should only have to flick a human, something that will have to be explained for something even close to a level playing field, unless they're doing a mini team up vs Superman (Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman)

Well, some of the Justice League are appearing in it but not sure they are big roles. Plus, judging on what it's based on, the only person that aids Batman is Green Arrow.

well it will be loosely based and adapted, can't see Green Arrow appearing in Justice League related films for a long time due to Marvel using Hawkeye.

Yeah, of course, they never do a 100% adaption. I'm not sure Hawkeye has anything to do with the lack of Green Arrow appearing in BvS tbh. Just think that they can't introduce too many characters in one go as they have already confirmed Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg.

I meant I can't see Green Arrow appearing any time soon, all the members they're introducing are super powered. As for Cyborg rumour has it you only see Victor very briefly and he's there as a name drop for a future film.

Rumoured to be an American Football game where he gets badly injured which leads to the Cyborg transformation to come

They are all being introduced for the upcoming Justice League film. You could argue that Batman isn't super-powered.... ;)

Compared the Green Arrow though..... And for the Justice League film itself as far as I'm aware the only extra new additions will be The Flash, Green Lantern and Shazam potentially.

Ridiculous to put Shazam in but that's only my opinion!

Well there's questions as to whether Shazam will be included with Justice League or just be a film that is part of that universe but separarte, something Feige talked about potentially doing with Dr Strange and how he could fit well as a stand alone separate film in the Marvel universe.

Shazam is basically Superman....no point in him being introduced in the slightest. Not that I have a lot of time for Superman either but hey...! I have zero problem with Dr. Strange though and would welcome the Cumberbatch movie (even though I don't think he's the right man for the role). What I would love to see would be The Outsiders or Teen Titans hit the big screen. Sadly, that'll only be a far off dream.
