I refuse to accept we're actually down until I see the fixtures come out

We all have our own moment when the realisation hits. For me it was seeing a billboard advertising the Football League sponsored by Coca Cola with the Coca Cola logo in 72 different clubs' colours, and us not being on it.

I reckon it'll take some time for it to sink in for many of us non-Oldham fans that they are actually below League 1 after 21 years there (more surprising than if they had got out the right way). Imagine how Oldham fans must be feeling!

According to chesterfield fans in non-league they should be in league 1.

Allen to MK Dons might be a possibility.

Shame that he hasn’t stayed with us because he would have got us challenging for an immediate return. His latest spell in charge was once again a success and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him back again in a few years when we are yet again staring down the barrel at the wrong end of the L2 table.

If he ends up at Chesterfield, I would expect them to be challenging next season also.
