I've no idea how the Chesterfield v Barnet match went in terms of who deserved to win etc but that own goal has to go down as seriously fucking unlucky!

It just sums up our season to date really. Not claiming at all that things would be anything more than marginally different to what they are now, but some of the hands we've been dealt are ridiculous. Imagine being bottom with McGhee as your manager in a critical game, conceding that goal and then your 5th 85+ minute losing goal of the season. It's just so depressing and a real sign of what's happening at the club right now.

We've been absolutely shit and deserve to be where we are, but we've had some fucking awful luck too.

The relegation situation is a bit crazy too... when we lost to Grimsby is Aspins first game we were left a point from safety... since then we’ve won 5 and drew 1 of our last nine games which is pretty decent form and yet are still only one point above safety... 9 times out of 10 that form would pull you a good four or five points away which is frustrating!

Credit to FGR and Chesterfield for turning it around as well as us though and we’ve now gone from a three way scrap for survival to bringing about ten other teams into it... even Cambridge who are what three points off the play offs still could be pulled in.

Crewe falling like a stone, Barnet and Yeovil stuck in a rut... Crawley and Morecambe both seemed dire against us but have pulled a few decent results.

Be an interesting second half of the season. We’ve got a horror run of games until early January so need to be getting something from Carlisle and Coventry if possible.

Coventry seem to be going downhill results wise too at the moment... could be one to watch maybe as that late team that’s slides after Xmas with their key man out for the season?

There is a chink of light at the end of the tunnel! Reports say our owners are willing to sell up and a consortium of local businessmen are in talks to buy the club, should be completed by early January.

This is the best (potential) news we've heard in years, the current owners have been there over 20 years and we're spiralling into relegation.

Great wins for Chesterfield and Crawley

Beginning to look dodgy for Barnet, though their fans have been somewhat realistic about their prospects, maybe with Akinde back in the picture?

Only 1 win in the last 10 league games for us. 4th position in September, 16th now.

We play Chesterfield at home before Christmas really could do with getting a win in that one but i'm not holding my breath.

I fear for us, we couldn't beat an egg at the moment (in the league anyway)

We are being realistic - with McGhee in charge we are going down. His tactics and team selections are clueless. There's only so much Akinde can do on his own especially when the team isn't set up to get the best out of him.

What a daft trip that is 2 days before Christmas. No idea who decides these fixtures, we're away at Wycombe next week too. Bit harsh to have 2 away games less than 10 days before Christmas. Fair play anyone who attends one or both.

We have Colchester away the 23rd and Carlisle away this weekend. Crazy, along with a self inflicted trip to Yeovil tomorrow... three games, eleven days got to be over 1000 miles for the three.

We've improved a fair bit but are still back in the bottom 2, and have a fuck load of players out through injury or suspension. Will probably only have 14 available for tomorrow and that includes a couple who aren't 100% fit either. At least most Grimsby fans agreed that we looked a quality side and had we not had 10 men for so long would probably have won easily, so that was encouraging.

Then on Saturday we've got Luton, will be interesting to see how our makeshift defence and midfield cope with their attack.

You think you got bad trips - We have Crewe away this Saturday and Accrington away on the 23rd December - they obviously don't worry about us fans travelling - a bit like last season away to Plymouth on New Years eve -

We've got Morecambe away on 30th December, a 540 mile round trip.

Don't think we'll be taking many.

2 points seperating 6 teams from Morecambe in 18th to us in 23rd, would be pretty exciting if that's still the case going into the last game of the season. Table changing every time a goal goes in, checking everyone else's scores all the time etc.

Would bring back some great memories of some of our last day relegation shoot outs in the Conference, which we've had a few of.

If Jodi Jones weren't injured he'll be probably sold to Rochdale or Bristol Rovers come January and we'll probably suffer the same collapse as usual

Ours between Christmas and New Year are good, just the run up which is daft. Seems we aren't alone, really isn't very well thought out.

We've had Morecambe either home or away for the last 4 Christmas periods, so must love pairing us with them.

If Saturday was an improvement then you must have been absolute fucking dog mess before it.

With 11 men we'd have won comfortably, and you know it.

Of course, you were absolutely battering us before that......

Cheers, that's good of you to say although not sure I'd go that far. Still good to have an opposition fan saying something positive about us for a change.

I think Artell will be relieved of his duties by the first week of January. His decision making is all over the place and seems like most fans are now accepting he isn't up to it, despite the local press doing their best audition for a job with the North Korean state media (It's all fine! What a magnificent defeat against Blackburn! Our academy is the envy of the country!).

Unfortunately, being the circus we are, we'll appoint another non-manager who is equally unqualified. This will seal our fate.

Yeovil's undoing will be the fact they are still involved in two cup competitions.

I know it wasn't meant to, and I promise I'm not laughing at Yeovil, but that genuinely made laugh out loud and have the wife question what I found so funny.

Weren't most of the Crewe fans on here predicting a top 7 finish at the start of the season?

Our manager has completely lost it. In his pre-match interview yesterday he got the excuses out early. He said it's hard with 14/15 new players and our younger players aren't used to playing in a different stadium with different noise (?!) and different pitch dimensions. Christ on a bike.

To be fair he was really putting the spin on Tuesday night in his post match interview!
