Yeah, another big 6 pointer that.

Although today was meant to be a big ‘un too, but no one seemed to have told our players that.

Not looking like many candidates once you sift through the hysteria. Sutton, FGR and Tranmere are 3 probable choices. Newport are sliding quickly and could soon be dragged into trouble.

We lost against Tranmere and Sutton and could only scrape a draw to Harrogate (96th minute equaliser), so I'm definitely worried.

I think we're waiting for Notts to play a proper team or something. We have them this Saturday.

So could be a while yet.

You're on a bad run but no need to start wetting the bed just yet.

Hard to see beyond Sutton and FGR at this stage, I still reckon Tranmere have the capacity to do better but it's just not clicking yet.

Bradford are best placed to bring in players during the January window, so even if they are in or around the bottom at the end of this year, don’t see them staying there.

Think Rovers, FGR, Sutton and Colchester are the main contenders, but much too early to call.

A few weeks back, I was sure we were dead and buried, but an improvement in performances and now results has given me hope.

Two massive games for Sutton in our next two, Tranmere at home and Grimsby away. 4-6 points from these and I may feel more than hopeful.

Yeah, but you aren't Sutton/Tranmere/FGR levels of bad though. You have the reigning L2 top scorer, Jake Young to come back in January, Alex Pattison(when fit), a solid defence/keeper and the ability to strengthen in the next window. You'll be fine.

I still don't think Sutton will go down. They're fighters, it's always been their style.

I'd probably go for Forest Green and Tranmere at this stage. Tempted to go Newport though as I hope Tranmere stay up.

Everyone we beat says we are a poor team, so expect us to be down here come the end of the season.

I’d agree. sutton play that godawful attempt at football which is about as appealing to watch as a trip to the dentist, but i’d imagine as pitches get heavier and other teams struggle with injuries their style of football will be more suited, i think they’ll be fine - as you say, fighters.

Cook has been largely dreadful this season. Jake Young doesn't want to be at Bradford. Our defence is worse because we have Ash Taylor in it. Harry Lewis has made about 7 mistakes, all of which have cost us goals. Strengthen? Nope. Skint, lad.

Imagine if we actually became good.....how lucky are we that the day we play anyone it turns out that it’s the worst performance the opponents have ever played when they don’t win....and the three times we have lost they say we were unlucky......tiz a funny old game hahaha

What about us - don’t forget the clear favourites for relegation this season - even our own supporters have got bets on us being out of the EFL at the end of the season.

Injuries are killing us atm 10 out yesterday and we could only muster 5 on the bench one of those was a keeper and two academy lads, january can't come quick enough for us with the new owner taking over and an influx of finances i can see couglan adding at least 6 to the squad maybe more he will also get rid of a few! we know who they are as they are just not good enough for this level.

Tbf, we are only 14 off. Still 90 points to play for, so entirely possible we could also still have a big say in the promotion race. We are technically defending Champions after all.

When you’ve let in 17 in 4 games, 29 in 10 and lost 5 in a row, we‘ll be there or thereabouts.

Yeah I’m more concerned with play off picture too. Just hitting our straps.

At the moment you would have to think it will be two from ourselves, Sutton, Tranmere, Grimsby and Newport...although others are more than welcome to join us. When we played Colchester I would have included them but they have since hit a bit of form and sailed off up to mid-table mediocrity...somewhere that the rest of us probably dream about. If my thoughts are about right it will make the games between us even more important, pity about the game yesterday as I was hoping we might scrape a point and set us up for the visit of the fishy people next Saturday...oh well!

PS: If anyone from Grimsby has a beach ball can they please bring it, if nothing more than to give us a laugh and wind up our stewards.

If memory serves me right but I seem to remember that 2 years ago at about same stage of season FGR secured an away win at Prenton Park when FGR were 1st and Tranmere 2nd in table.
That win helped FGR win title while Tranmere dropped out of promotion zone.
This season same two clubs are competing against each other to avoid relegation.
Ain't football strange.

It is somewhat ironic that most of the games that we have played in the last decade that have had something riding on the outcome have involved Tranmere, Grimsby and Newport...the only team we are missing from that list is Bristol Rovers, currently going very well under Andy Mangan, who used to play for us.
