Are the BBC match stats right Steve, Guiseley only had 1 shot (off target) all game?

Depending on whether a collection of variables falls into place, I might pay my second visit to Nethermoor to cheer you on against Wrexham, who I'm keen to see drop points for obvious reasons.

Nope there were others that were blocked or deflected and headers wide etc. Still nowhere near as many as Chelts though obviously. Plenty of possession but never risked pushing enough men forward to threaten in earnest until we conceeded. If we had done they would have scored more!
You will be more than welcome on Tuesday. If you make it over i won't be hard to find ;)

Just gone through the remaining fixtures predicting the results and it comes out very close ! FWIW , I get Torquay and Chester safe and Kiddie and Welling down. The other 4 clubs all within a point of each other.

Are you sure about this? Seems a little far fetched...

Good set of results for us tonight, apart from that useless bunch from down the road.

If we beat Welling at home on Saturday I reckon we'll be safe. Alty would have to win all three and Boreham Wood would need to get seven points to draw level if we then didn't get anything else.

Overall us and Boreham Wood have a far better goal difference than Alty and Halifax.

That was an absolute gutshot Halifax took tonight, inexcusable. It's going to be very very close for them now, maybe even up against it looking at Boreham Wood's run-in.

Hahaha.

Don't worry mate. Like I said in the other thread, we're down. We'll be picking up 3 more points at the absolute maximum. Probably not even that. Wouldn't be surprised if we drew at home to Welling.

Phenomenal turn around. We're not done yet but my god it's tangibly close.

Should we get over the line this weekend it'll go down as one of our greatest escape acts - and we've had some bloody good ones!

I hope we are both safe before our last game of the season so we can both enjoy the game and party atmosphere instead of biting nails to the elbow for ninety minutes!

You know we could finish bottom? I can't really see another point this season. Our midfield doesn't have a tackle in it, with Moult and Richman injured. Sounded like something went on at half-time last night and the players were sent out 10 minutes early.

Fair play to Welling and especially Kiddy who have put off relegation until only 3 games to go. Torquay are probably safe now, although with a far worse GD and Guiseley can probably feel safe, too.

Two of Alty, Boreham Wood, Halifax and Chester.

Wow, last time i checked the league table you lot were marooned at the bottom, looking almost certainly to be going down!

Fair play, that's a phenomenal turn-around.

I think that's a real achievement in itself considering we've been holding up the table for 90% of the season.

I think the reason we've been playing a lot better over the past few games is because we've basically had nothing to play for so we've just been able to enjoy playing football with the pressure off. We're obviously still going down but it's good to see we're going down fighting unlike Villa.

Apparently we have now won more matches in 2016 than we did in the entirety of 2015. If we'd had this team all season I reckon we'd have been safe.

They were - it was bizarre. They were all just stood around too.

Huge credit to the 30 Robins that made the trip.

Yes, not impossible. I think we'll probably end up 22nd though. No AGM Cup reprieve on the horizon this time, sadly.

You'd like to think it was Tolson losing his rag and shrieking at them to get out there. I'm not one of these people who thinks the way to get the best out of players is to be bollocking them all the time, but we have consistently failed in very winnable, very important matches. The players should have caught themselves on. I hope we release almost all of them next season, whatever level we're playing at.

I think Clee's and Reeves' loss of fitness and form has absolutely killed us. Those two firing on all cylinders and we're not in this position. Oh well.

Altrincham never recovered from the injury to Nicky Clee.

I remember the first home game in this division in August 2014, against Lincoln. Clee and Reeves on the bench, Perry and Gillespie starting! Sinnott never really did have a clue in many respects.

Given that Boreham Wood are at home to Guiseley and away to Welling in their last 2 games, I take it you lot are hoping we will turn up against them on Saturday?
