A good week for leader Murphy as he increases his advantage at the top and progresses to the cup quarter-finals. Super_Horns top scores to climb up to second for the first time with Blitzballer making way, now only ahead of Markface by success rate.

One of four to score 50+, DontBringBertie moves back into his highest position of seventh while another, Cardsfan, gains a couple of places and knocks James out of the cup. This Charming Mike is the week's biggest mover, climbing back into the top ten for the first time in four weeks.

You've completely lost the plot. You were top 2 weeks ago, now you're 53 points behind first and 29 behind second. Before this week, the furthest you'd been behind first was by 28 points (weeks 5, 6 & 9). Only 10 ahead of 6th too, which puts you close to dropping out of the top five for the first time this season. That gap was 60+ only three weeks ago.

If it makes you feel any better though, TPLG has a rich history of people leading for a while before completely bottling it...

Murphy remains top for a third successive week, slightly increasing his lead over Super_horns and Blitzballer. Continuing his ascent, DontBringBertie moves up to his highest position and to within a point of the top three.

Sideshow Bob hits 50+ to top score this week and move out of the bottom three. One of four to score more than 30 Tony Clifton is the biggest mover, climbing four places into the top twenty.

Nothing between them again so it goes to the tie-break. tommy_b went with the 11th minute, markpvfc went with the 15th. Neither were particularly close with Norwich's generosity seeing the first goal scored within 40 seconds, but tommy was the closest so edges through.

QF1 (smat vs tommytez) and QF2 (Veggie Legs vs Eamonn) to be played Week 29 (Sat 5 Mar).
QF3 (tommy_b vs Cardsfan) and QF4 (JustinQPR vs Murphy) to be played Week 30 (Sat 12 Mar).

Despite a terrible week, scoring bugger all, Murphy remains sixteen points clear at the top with Super_horns failing to capitalise. DontBringBertie moves into the top three for the first time while top scorer Leewilson returns to 4th for the first time in ten weeks. Blitzballer is the one to make way, dropping out of the top three for the first time in 19 weeks and to his lowest position since Week 1.

Although better than last week, Murphy can't stop his competitors from making up more ground and sees his lead cut in half by Super_horns while Leewilson returns to the top three.

Having lost in his previous quarter-final appearances (2013 & 2014), Veggie Legs is given an easy route into the cup semis with Eamonn picking a terrible time to score nothing. tommytez sees off smat to reach the semis for the second time (his first having been at the expense of Veggie in 2014).

The week's top scorer is epic73. While still bottom, having joined 17 weeks into the season, it takes his average to 26.92. An average only bettered by the top two Murphy (27.34) & Super_horns (27.07) and smat (26.96).

Happy with that although not getting carried away as the league is very tight. Justin is on the rise again and I'm not ruling out Veggie yet either. I fancy Super Horns, Mike and Tony Clifton to rise a bit as well soon. Murphy though, no worries there.

My advice Murphy. Analysis the fuck out of it, overthink everything and make bad choices.

Another poor week for Murphy as he not only cedes first to Super_horns but is also knocked out of the cup by JustinQPR. Third-placed Leewilson makes up ground on both while a strong score sees Markface back up to fourth.

Cardsfan marks his return with a good score but it isn't enough to overcome tommy_b who makes it into his first semi-final and sets up a meeting with last year's runner-up JustinQPR.

Climbing seven places to 14th, Mr Elmo picks up the highest score since tommy_b also scored 74 in Season 4, Week 22. Those two plus Winch (74 - Season 3, Week 8) are joint-sixth for the all-time top score with the top five remaining a season 1 stronghold:

Elsewhere, smat bounces back from his disappointing cup exit to move into the top ten for the first time. He also takes his average to 27.67, bettered by no-one with the league's top two only managing 27.57 and 27.50 respectively. Leader for eight consecutive weeks (from week 5 to 12), a streak still yet to be beaten this season, zawesx drops out of the top twenty for the first time since Week 1. And Jackinky, the only one unable to hit double figures this week, loses considerable ground on the top 10 as he falls to 17th.
