Dickos1 is a buffoon actually I think it's Dickov as to your prospects it depends if you can last the pace better than last season though I wouldn't get carried away with today because o doubt you will play another team as shite as we were today

The thing is, we've played like that in every game bar Swindon where we needed to show our uglier, gritty side. We are unbeaten. We've kept 3 clean sheets in 5 games (of which 1 was against a side who were in the Premier League last season) and are playing really well. I expect us to suffer our first defeat on Tuesday but we've got absolutely nothing to lose so we may as well go for it. Confident about next Saturday though.

There was only one winner before a ball was kicked Dickov is a disgrace our players don't want to play for him it would seem his excuses are appalling and the only thing we will do this season is get relegated if he stays in charge.
Has he done his post match interview yet?

as good as we were Donny were embarrasingly awful. keeper prevented a 6 or 7 goal defeat. was a pisser when their fans were actually mocking their team with oles and a standing ovation almost for their first shot at goal. Williams looked a shadow of the player he was at Swindon. cant pick a man of match as all played well today. crucial to get 3 points as 4 without a win and away at Bradford wouldnt of looked rosy but our defence is unrecognisable from last yr including Dicko. great day overall and lots of promise.

You should be in good confidence for Albion on Tuesday where you stand a good chance if they get dicked tomorrow by Chelsea.

Pulis never took it serious when he managed Lardies. the fact WBA play Chelsea tomorrow and Lard away next sat will mean i reckon 7 or 8 changes from the ' tramp in a tracksuit '. prefer 3 points at Bradfud myself.

I expected more from Doncaster. It would have been 5 but for their keeper.

Its early days yet so im not getting carried away, but we are unrecognisable from last season.

Best performance I've seen by Vale since our promotion season, but Doncaster were woeful apart from the keeper.

The Donny forum is embarrassing. Give credit where it's due lads, we had your pants down because we were excellent. Andoh, Uche & Moore made your defenders look schoolboy- good call on Uche last year, by the way...

It has been like this for 2 years now.

No offense but we've had a 100 games of this.

Uche is wank, Crewe fans said.

He won't score 5 goals, they said.

Back home now and having digested the performance I am extremely proud of the lads. I said after beating Burnley it was the most complete performance I had seen from us in years... This was a level above that. We got at them like starving lions with a piece of meat and just battered them. Andoh tore them apart (as he did Gills and Crewe when he came on) and Uche just toyed with their back line. At one point their defender tried to tackle him by kicking through the back of this leg only to fall over it he's a pure beast.

Penalty was easy decision but a poor penalty and a good stop, then we had a header in the top corner the keeper somehow stopped before a superb one touch passing move in box saw Dodds in the perfect position but again the keeper saved. He then dealt with Dickos free kick before Foley made amends with a beautiful flick head over the keeper into the far corner... From then on it was only going to end one way.

Keeper comes out second half to an ovation from the Bycars side of the ground and deservedly so but within moments he was picking the ball out the net, Uche got free out wide cut inside and rather than lay in Andoh for a simple finish he bulldozed the centre half and bent a peach in the far corner... And didn't he enjoy it!

We had a couple of other opportunities and Doncaster had a couple of easily dealt with efforts before Dodds should of ended the contest firing wide when only the keeper to beat before late on Purkiss fed Moore who flicked home with his heel.

Could and probably should of had 3 or 4 more but the football was superb and we just look so solid at the back. Has to be added that O'Connor is missing still too! We've been building up to this kind of performance starting at Crewe and Burnley and now have found the goals in the system we are playing. This is the best football I've seen from a Vale side since I started going in 2001 and if we can keep up that level of performance week in week out we will do very very well this season. Time will tell but need to keep grounded and just keep going.

Oddly our first home league win since battering Doncaster last season and crucial to get that first win to now build on. WBA up next and a no pressure game where we can go and enjoy ourselves.

Can't believe we were favourites for relegation.

As I said at the beginning of the season, it's lazy journalism/bookies. We identified our area of weakness and addressed it.

Irrelevant of how poor Doncaster were, we would have beaten anybody today we were that good.

I've not seen such dominance for a while. We looked a tremendous side today.

What were crewe thinking in releasing grant? I think that will come back to haunt them as he was tremendous again today. Uche was unplayable, he's ridiculously strong but can actually play a bit too. Ryan innis is a class act and andoh is frightening. Dodds was also excellent today.

Most fans wrote us off, but ours have been quietly confident in the summers work especially after seeing them against Getafe... But I have to admit I didn't think we'd play this well as we have!

So we should refuse all that fuss just like last year for 300 Donny fans who caused no issue whatsoever! More cops than away fans literally.

Quote from a Doncaster fan discussing the highlights........

"look at it again and Uche (the owner of a no longer brand new tv) runs straight into a rovers defender -- who has to push him back -- a free kick should have been given against him
the point is the bloke has already fallen like a sack of potatoes to allegedly "con" the penalty
surely this bloke is in the wrong sport decathalon anyone or greco wrestling?
then for the second goal the left arm comes out on the defender to hold him off remember he has already "conned" a penalty & the defender daren't tackle him
-- IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER FREE KICK AGAINST HIM -- but referees for some reason nowadays allow this
then
he gets the script wrong just as michael cane said "about only supposed to blow the doorsoff"
he is only supposed to hit the post (how many times did he do that for rovers) but misses the target and the ball goes in the net
yes the stats say rovers X1 (not team) were outplayed
but do we need "cheetah" footballers
referees need to get a grip just as "uche" has done !!!!"
