Rochdale v Crewe Alex

Remind me again why you've got better crowds... Is it because you've sold cheap season tickets? Thought so. Get back to the league two forum, concentrate of getting into our division, playoffs is a lottery so you don't want to chance that surely. Spent a lot of money too, surely anything other than autos is failure for you guys.
Sorry how many league titles and FA Cups have you won?

Oh and for the record.. We have always had better crowds than you.. Can't even get more fans in at your peak.

Rochdale and Bury always come across as two very similarly sized clubs.

But we are not. We aren't worlds apart admitedly but there's clearly a difference.

Crowds - Bury higher than Rocdales every season since the football clubs began.. And it used to be a very big difference as aposed to now. Our record crowd stands at 35,000 as aposed to Rochdales 20,000. Somebody posted home only averages on here and we were 1,100 better off.

History - Bury win again (by an absolute mile). 2 FA Cups, numerous league titles.. In the Championship as recently as 1998.. 1000 goals scored in each top 4 tier. Ranked 38 in terms of top flight points above the likes of Palace.

Rochdales honours include 3
promotions to league 1.. They have never won any silverware to this day (literally an empty trophy cabinet). They have never been in tier 2, so I will reiterate, they are literally at their peak.

Even the smaller details:

Training Facilities: Bury train at Carrington Rochdale don't have a permanent training ground, preferring to train at the local college.
Stadium: Bury's is bigger
Youth: Bury's is better (currently top)
Facebook followers: Bury 41,000 compared to Rochdales 6,200 (indication of interest at youth level?)
Twitter followers: Bury 20,100 compared to Rochdale's 18,100.

I'm glad we are not in the same bracket as Bury.

I'm glad that we have not been into administration and paid 10p in the pound to carry on our existence.
I'm glad that we don't have a plethora of young thugs as evidenced at The JD Sports Arena (sell your soul)
I'm glad that we haven't had to get the buckets out and asked fans of clubs like, erm, Rochdale to save our shakers
I'm glad that we haven't had to get fans of all clubs to sponsor seats in the ground to save our shakers
I'm glad that we are not losing millions of pounds per year
I'm glad we are not leasing car park spots as the most comical brainwave of the decade
I'm glad that we are not bank-rolled by a property developer who has saddled our club with millions of pounds worth of debt mortgaged against our ground
I'm glad that all of the above is despite having far more history, fans, money through the turnstile, everything you keep bleating on about yet you still pale in the shade of RAFC in terms of the only really important thing, that is football.

Most of all, I'm glad that I support a different team to you.

Look at the League tables. Look where you are. Look where we are. Shove your history where the sun doesn't shine.

Rochdale without Keith Hill are nothing.. Just like you have been forever.

I'm glad my club doesn't represent a town full of pedophiles and child groomers and one of biggest shitholes in the country.

Any evidence for this "millions in debt" claim?

You are currently 15th in league 1, a whole 14 places above us in the league pyramid at your peak... Well done you must be overjoyed.

Evidence? Why, only the mortgages raised and listed against Bury PLC and the annual loss last year of £1.6. million as released in your club accounts.

Rochdale is not "full" of the people you describe. There has certainly been some of this of which I would never deny, but to apportion the actions of a few against the many is wrong.

We are currently in League 1. You are in League 2. I am happy, yes.

Rochdale is certainly a complete at utter shithole though, which cannot be denied. Ah well at least I can enjoy a walk round our nice town centre and not have to look at numerous job centres like in Rochdale. Rochdale as a town really is an embarrassment to the area, and people tar surrounding towns like Bury with the same brush because of how unpleasant Rochdale is. We do welcome our 6 fingered friends who come in their thousands to shop in Bury every week and who and generate trade in the town, whilst Rochdale gets left to further decline and fall into disrepair.

So we're moving away from the football now and resorting to personal attacks on Rochdale the place, and it's residents. Cool.

You say it as if you have never mocked Bristol Rovers...

Nice of you to be hypocritical

Why would I mock bristol, and it's residents when I come from the same city? Please find a post of mine that I have done.

Cheers.

I imagine you have mocked the neighbourhood of Rovers before though.

So you're making a assumption. Like I said, find a post where I'm insulting any area of Bristol. You won't find one.

It's a football forum so I don't see how you slagging off the place of Rochdale and it's residents is relevant?

I will deny it, for you are generalising again.

The part of Rochdale that I live in is very nice thank-you. I would invite you around for a glass of Pimms but, well, you know how things are, I wouldn't want to lower the tone of the neighbourhood.

Please don't, I wouldn't wish living in Rochdale on anyone.

So funny the amount of teams that have thrashed us under Davis, we never give out thrashings thanks to the boring sods tactics of scoring and then sitting back, even Gudjon got us to thrash Hartlepool and Brighton during his turbulent tenure and he was totally inept!

Been hoping he goes since the 5-0 vs Swindon last season but 20th place is like a Champions League title to our board, it's embarrassing how low our expectations have gone down to and its also embarrassing we've been thrashed three times by Rochdale. No disrespect to Dale I like them as a club, but our meek surrender to them this season just shows it.

It's also laughable how little faith the team have in Rachubka, we were guilty of it against Swindon and again last night, when that flapper is in net we sit back so deep no wonder our attacking play has gone to pot of late. Getting the ball past the halfway line to a red shirt is a miracle in its own right!

Can see us doing a Tranmere if we go down, we'll lose Grant, we won't sign permanent players, just half a dozen dodgy loanees to try and get us 22nd in League Two next season.

Ben Garratt gets my POTS vote ten times over now I've been reminded what a run of the mill lower league keeper is like.

And yeah, Inman should have played his last game for the club. Waste of time, money and trouble.
