MINIONS MINIONS MINIONS

A good opportunity to get another 3 points on the road and some play off revenge. After a fantastic away performance at MK Dons, more of the same please. Can't see him making any changes unless there are some fitness concerns. Hopefully Vermijl will be back on the bench after missing out through injury. Not sure what the situation is with Beckford so probably won't be back just yet.

I'll go for 1-2 (Derbyshire, Garner (2))

Another decent chance of picking up 3pts here, you would think, seems their new keeper and defence are still trying to settle in. Wouldn't turn my nose up at a point though.

No idea what the injury situation is with Beckford and Vermijl but they could possibly be on the bench, no Hugill obviously.

Can't see our system changing, although I am struggling to work out what our formation actually is, it changes constantly throughout the game with Clarke moving from RB to CB, Keane dropping deep, Gally drifting around and Johnson peeling out to the left. Effective so far.

Pickford
Clarke, Huntington, Wright, Cunningham
Welsh
Humphrey, Gallagher, Johnson
Keane
Garner

Kirkland, Woods, Vermijl, Kilkenny, Browne, Brownhill, Beckford

Humphrey was definitely playing RWB on Saturday. I think Welsh sits in front of the defence and Gallagher and Johnson just float around and interchange a lot. Keane is also definitely playing as a striker but he drops deep to receive the ball into feet whereas Garner likes it more aerially.

Gallagher is also doubtful:(

He would be a loss but we've still got enough creativity in the team with Johnson and Keane, i'd probably go with Browne as his replacement.

Would be a huge loss if Gally is out. Ideally if Beckford was fit you could drop Keane into Gallagher position.

If not,Browne would get the nod for me.

Can't see us getting beat here. 1-1 or 1-2 PNE

Our back 4 is starting to gel now and after all commotion over Roos, he's due a good game and clean sheet.

We don't have trouble scoring but we miss so many chances, although God doesn't go too long without a goal now, so I expect him to bag.

Roos

Buxton Halford Collins Mattock

Maguire Smallwood Frecklington Newell

Bowery Derbyshire

Frecklington loves a goal against Preston too.

2-0 Millers, Derbyshire and Frecklington and Joe Newell to continue as being our best player.

Oh, hi you're back. Where have you been hiding? Thoughts on your 4-1 defeat to MK Dons?

Same old Rotherham of the last 4/5 years woeful defending and enough chances to score 5. Same goes for Forest.

Eric Black is stealing a wage.

I think it's a bit early to say he is stealing a wage but admittedly it's not been great defensively so far.
I think when Mattock and Buxton are up to speed with the rest of the team we will be much stronger.
Hopefully that will start tonight.

Both Halford and Collins have looked good and shaky in equal measures but it takes time to form a partnership and they
didn't play together much in pre-season where Tom Thorpe tended to play with Collins.

Whoever SE picks, they need to get to grips (literally) with Garner and I think he has too much nous for Thorpe and Halford.
Maybe Richard Wood could batter him a bit...............or Rawson might get a start, he never let us down last year.

We really could do with 3 points but TBH I would be glad of a point just to get on the board.

Any point away from home is a good point, especially if we're without Gallagher and Beckford tonight.

I think Collins will have more than enough nous to deal with Keane and Garner, as should Halford, they've come up against better in the Premier league.

Our defence will improve dramatically when we can have Rawson and Broadfoot as the partnership, so solid last season.

Halford was one of the worst footballers I have seen at Wolves, what was odd was that he seemed like the sort of talentless engine that McCarthy got the best out of too. What does he look like so far for you guys? as poor as he was for us he is still kicking about at the same level so there is obviously something that has caused that.

Unchanged from the side that beat MK Dons, no sign of Beckford.

No striker on the bench with Reid replacing Hugill and Vermijl replacing Davies, fuck knows where Andy Little is.

Shit game. No chances I can think of. Boring as fuck, no atmosphere from the home crowd to bounce off. Ref is having a fucking shite game. No idea what Garner was booked for.

That'll do, didn't sound like there were many chances in it, Bailey Wright hitting the bar for us.

No goals conceded in our last 6 league fixtures if you count the play-offs.

We're missing Beckford up top though.

It was Hunts who hit the bar.

Shite game, both teams had very few chances, Keane had the best when he skinned the last man then blazed it over the bar. Another point and another clean sheet. It'll do. Not one for the memory bank though.

Given our limited attacking options at the moment that's a good point.

And Blackpool got beat at home to Burton so...:fish:

Can't wait for Beckford to come back, I like Will Keane but he's not a striker and he hasn't clicked with Garner at all.

Still think we need another striker bringing in personally, a pacey option for when we're without Beckford.

Keane and Garner are too similar. When Garner drops deeper to win a header, Keane goes too and doesn't anticipate the flick-on. As you say, he's not a striker and it shows. Hugill would have been a good option last night, the stupid twat.

Goalless draw away at relegation certs. How have you played in your other two games PNE? Do we have anything to fear?

To play from the back and try to get the ball out wide for wingers to either cut inside and shoot or cross. We played to slowly against PNE

Relegation certs after 3 games? ok...

If we defend like we did against Boro and take our chances then there is no reason why can take 3pts off you at Deepdale, we've badly missed Beckford so far and i'm hoping he will back for Saturday.
