Shows what a disgusting team they were when even a member of their coaching staff pushing into Sterling deliberately as he was running into the changing room - then tried to claim it was Sterling. Thankfully the 4th official saw it. Although after he got told off he started laugh with (i think) the manager

Wonder what they're up to today....

I think “angry” is a little over the top looking at those comments he said. Frustrated would be a better word and rightly so, like anyone when they lose a big match. Agree with Southgate’s comments, we have become smarter and if they’re not going to stamp out the antics, then you’d be very naive to not use them yourself, as other teams will continue to do so, showing no mercy to you whatsoever. I don’t like it, but sadly it’s modern football now and the only way the refs take action. Of course, having said that, you don’t have to act like a fish dying out of water like Neymar..

I've got to admit England's cheating (that's what it is) when attacking set pieces is annoying me. Kane is not getting wrestled to the ground - he & others are orchestrating the contact, often committing the initial foul and then acting to make it look like they've been fouled.

Anyone thinking this isn't the case are in denial. You don't get fouled 4 games in a row ffs. Let's not cheat is it boys.

To be fair, I said at the time that Kane created that contact for the penalty and had a good grip of the defender's shirt, while holding his run enough.

However, those Colombians were a set of pricks so i'm glad they've been dealt some karma.

Personally, I've no qualms if we cheat our way to the final.

If you want to watch a non-contact sport, be my guest and go watch basketball.

Football however there will be some holding and tugging, thats all part of the game that we accept isn't a foul whether its for or against us.

However, this:

this:

are certain cheats repeating themselves yet?

this:

and this (and so many more):

were all fouls by a dirty cheating team.

But no problem in the end because of this:

It was a pretty amusing incident, but I did catch it being mentioned that it was an elbow into Sterling.

Not in a million years was that an elbow.

I don't know why Colombia resorted to such tactics, they didn't need to. They thought England were better than they actually were.

Still have no idea what Carlos Sanchez was doing. First, trying to grab Kane and block him, then he decided he wanted a piggy back to finish it off. Sterling twisting away while Mina balanced on his back was quite amusing too.

Didn't hear the elbow comment, but not a chance was it an elbow.

I agree though, Colombia were their own enemy on the night and for that deserved to go out.

Here is a video of the incident;

Nice to see people come round to the quality of Jordan Pickford.

North End fans on here have been tipping him up for England glory since 2015.

Think that shot would have hit the outside of the post and gone wide, still, it’s a great save and I didn’t realise at the time he was a few yards off his line and had to step backwards to get to it. His penalty save was also excellent.

It was a wonderful save.

Going wide or not, I'm glad we won the way we did. The togetherness now is even stronger than it would have been if won 1-0.

Not sure why it was a robbery. We were by far the better side and deserves to go through. We didn’t create a lot of chances but we contained them very well, had the vast majority of the ball and in the first half had 2 or 3 chances with some good passages of football/movement. They scored from their only decent chance of the entire game.

Pleasing that the forum's most persistent and boring troll is out and everyone is just ignoring him. Superb, keep it up people. Maybe if we do he'll go away.

Love the pure salt coming from Maradona, Peckerman and Falcao and all the other classless dickheads as well. Keep it coming lads, I'll use it so cover my chips with.

The current system of all yellow cards rescinded after the round of 16, only allows teams to foul at their leisure as we found out with the Columbia match

Now is time for 90% of the Scottish population to change their social media avatars from a Colombia flag to one of Sweden. Don't worry lads I know the whole summer revolves around you waiting for England to be knocked out of the World Cup but you're going to have to wait a few more days at least.

Nope summer is all about sun, sea and summer whiskies, and enjoying the football. There are other teams in this world cup besides you lot - not that you'd know it with the shockingly biased and frankly poor coverage.
They should have voted for independence really

We did, the quarter of a mill of you lot that couldn't wait to get out of the squalor you live in down there, to come up here, voted against it. Sabotaging a better existence for us all.
What a sad jealous bitter scot. I honestly pity you.
:ds:

Lol you really are getting the wrong end of the stick - not that thats anything new. I'm not 'jealous' or 'bitter' at all. Why should I be of your side or country ffs.

What sort of media coverage would you want/expect considering there aren't any other home nations there? Every countries media team will be favourable to their own country.

The BBC is supposed to represent all of Britain not just England.

The BBC would give Wales/Scotland exactly the same treatment if they were in England's position. In fact in '98 I remember the media being far more positive towards Scotland and their fans than England.
