You’ve accused us several times of cheating mate but you haven’t actually pin pointed any particular incidents yet..
There is too many to choose from. Kanes diving inside the box constantly, Lingaard too when booked. Oh how bout McGuire, a guy built like a tank, but somehow goes down like a feather in the box on no contact.

Better team for 90 minutes, kept our heads after they got an equalizer from a corner at the death, did the business in the shoot out. Finally we win a shoot out. What a joy

We need to stop replying to Saltire, he's a sad scottish weirdo who has already admitted he hates england more than he enjoys football.. Where's his colombian flag now??? Whoops. Just ignore him.

Take it you’re joking about Kane so I won’t respond on that one. Lingard don’t have a clue what incident you mean on that one. Maguire was teaching for the ball and immediately put his hand up gesturing no foul was made.

Anymore? :dk:

Yeah fair enough, was pretty confident he was on a wind up just was curious what he could pick out from that tbh

Don't be blinded by loyalty, it makes you do terrible things. :)

Haha being a bit hypocritical there Nilsson, you are the king of bitterness on this site.

Lingard got booked for some challenge, then went down after under no contact in the box, which should've been a booking also. Nothing given coz the Yank ref bottled it.

As for Maguire, why did he go down in the first place, because he was chancing it. He could've controlled the ball to hold it up and allow others in.

He's not on a wind up, he's just sad as fuck. Check out this.....

I couldn't have that, no, just no. If England won the World Cup, I would quit this site (and others) and give up on football, even if Hendo and TAA were the ones to do it.

And even give up on football. Hahahahaha. The fact we have this affect on people is mental. Get in there

Once fucking Colombia picked themselves off the floor and detached themselves from the ref, they looked a good side and you wonder what might’ve been if James was playing. Their goal clearly rattled us and we were proper edgy in the 1st half of extra time. Whatever Southgate said, and I think he’s man managing these lads really well, we found the strength of character to come back and almost nick it in the 2nd period. Then in pens as well. You can question his tactics at times (generally though spot on) but his guidance of this young squad is exemplary and they clearly respect him. Good positive subs too at crucial stages to inject some energy when we were flagging.

Whatever happens against Sweden we’ve had a good tournament and I’d like Southgate to stay and continue what he seems to be moulding here.

Get the fuck in England. Buzzing for Saturday

Yeah but you see the thing is, that'll never happen. Say you beat the Swedes, you really think you'd beat Croatia or Brazil/France with your darling Pogba afterwards?

Mate, it’s coming home... the sooner you accept that fact the easier it’ll be when it happens

Pretty shameful display from both sides really. All manner of theatrics and attempts to con the referee, I'm surprised they managed a game of football between it.

Never thought Colombia looked an outfit, a decent first half ET excepted -- even then, what -- one Falcao half-chance? Normal service was resumed in the second half of that period and we had better opportunities to win it through Rose and Dier.

We didn’t create anything really between the penalty and Rose’s half chance, which was the best part of an hour. I was hoping today might have been a reality check for us - we’re capable of beating these sorts of sides but we ended up relying on them missing a penalty to keep us in a shoot out. Despite how poor Colombia were, so were we.

I’m still in shock.. and a little drunk. That must have been one hell of a watch in a drama sense for the neutral, not fun for us though. Must admit, I didn’t have much confidence when I saw Dier step forward and although it wasn’t a great penalty, he put it low and made it harder to save. That was a quality penalty shootout. Even Henderson’s wasn’t a bad penalty, just a bit telegraphed and a good height for the keeper. Pickford’s save was first class too, a very strong hand after it looked like it might be out of reach.
Now to the crazy game..
They were a horrible niggly side, wasn’t expecting that. Falcao in particular very aggressive with his complaining to the ref, who struggled to control this game a lot of the time. Defensively we were excellent though, their main playmaker Quintero couldn’t even get in the game and Falcao had no influence whatsoever, apart from maybe in the ref’s nightmares tonight. Why teams keep wrestling Kane to the ground, I’ll never know, it’s just brainless. Sweden feel free to do the same though, ta.
Thought we played great though, not in an attacking flair sense, but more a hard working, comfortable with possession, keeping the shape and reducing the opposition to scraps kind of way. We dominated the majority of the game, apart from the last few mins of normal time and the first half of extra time, but we responded well in the second and became the better team again. The goal was a gut punch right at the end, especially after that superb save out of nowhere from Pickford from that 40 yard (felt like that) hit and hope. We showed great character and mental strength to bounce back from that though, very impressive as I thought that might kill us. Then to go and win that shootout after everything that happened was something else. Trippier, Henderson, Stones and Maguire were all outstanding once again. I actually don’t think anyone played bad and Sterling put in a stronger performance this time too. Next up is Sweden, which will be a different kind of test, but one we can get through if we play to our strengths, but they’re a decent well organised side and it won’t be easy. Pleased for that team and Southgate, they deserved it. This is going to be a loooooong read haha.

They played higher up and had a go which we weren’t comfortable with. If they’d done that for the first hour instead of auditioning for an Italian passport on how to whinge and moan, result might’ve been different but overall England deserved it.

Tbf mate, 'if' our defence hadn't basically bossed the ball so much they were chasing shadows, they might have had an opportunity to have a go. One of the most assured displays I've seen from an England backline since the Rio-Campbell days.

Conceding at the very end of normal time was so unbelievably England. Then we do the opposite and win the shootout. About as un-England as it's possible to be. Fucking love it.

Felt a bit for Henderson as he had a good game bar the penalty miss, but it didn't cost us fortunately. If we end up in another shoot out you do wonder if he will take one. I suspect he will.

Good performance all in from all the players, bar the first half of the extra time. As for their goal at the end, their keeper nicked around 10 yards for the free kick that led to the corner. Should have been spotted and pulled back.

Roll on Sweden.

I'm too pissed to write an assessment of the game, but I'd love to have seen St Juste face when Dier slotted that one away. Saturday is going to be brilliant.
