Not to mention their only draw was away to the most fearsome attack in Europe of the past 55 years.

How are the Everton fans taking to Big Sam?

Unbeaten and certainly defensively much better as expected but do they need to be more attacking?

We do need to attack more.
Nzonzi may be our next signing. Don't know enough about him

Did very well at Stoke in a team set up in much the same way.

I feel bad for England when I see what an effective manager Big Sam. Makes you think you could have happened if the FA did the sensible thing and kept him on because there was no else better to do the job. Wouldn't have been a popular decision but the right one.

How did you work that out? In comparison to the no-mark yes man that's currently at the helm, it would have been a very popular decision. The thing is, no England fans wanted him sacked, the whole incident was a big fuss over fuck all. A case of the tossrag bigwigs at the FA fucking things up for the national team yet again.

N'Zonzi was with him at Blackburn I assume - he's a classy player. They've got great depth at centre mid.

I was thinking of the popularity of the decision regarding the general public. You are talking about people who know their stuff when it comes to England. We do, of course, but I don't think keeping Big Sam in charge would have been well received by the general public. Most of us on this board would have been fine with that decision but we know what we're talking about (I think).

Nah, I don't agree with that. I strongly suspect the vast majority of general public wouldn't have given a shit.

And merely a week later a proper scandal came out regarding sexual abuse which would've completely clouded it anyway. They really didn't need to sack him - it was a non issue for all but a few stuffy suits and shady journalists.

Anyone know enough of Tosun to believe he's a good striker? Though at the moment I'll take anyone who can kick towards opponent's goal!!

Two consecutive games lost now, after a good start both Sam and Everton appear to be finding their level again. Friday's cup game against us now holds more importance, especially given the fact they visit Wembley the following weekend against Spurs. Just looking at the percentages, four potential losses on the bounce you have to say.

Hopefully too late with the registration to play in the FA Cup derby tomorrow, the more toothless Everton are the better.

So, after an unbeaten start of 7 matches, Allardyce has now lost his last 3. Spurs at Wembley next.

really wouldn't surprise me if sam throws the rest of the season (not to the extent you go down obvz) so he can trigger the owners for more money in the summer. he'll only want to be judged on a full season - reckon with the right backing you could challenge.

As everyone knew when he got the job (well, apart from Abertawe it seems) Allardyce and his obvious limitations were not a long term solution for any team of ambition beyond safety. Will keep them up around middtable and someone else will come in over the summer. Not sure who it will be though, they're not exactly the most appealing destination even for up and coming managers. Dangling a big budget in front of potential suitors could help, it's certainly the reason Koeman went there.

Don't forget Everton are the only team that can go unbeaten against Man City this season.

Absolutely. I always said they sacked Koeman too early. ;)

Just watching MOTD and as usual, the fat one always takes the plaudits when any of his clubs win, but it's always someone else's fault when they lose! - despicable bloke.
