That's a question most of the fans are asking to be fair. We're a very physical side and have assembled 'a team of giants' so I think the manager just sets up to play to the strengths of those players and bully the opponents into submission. You can tell he's a disciple of Paul Cook.
I don't know if I've said this already, but if we got promoted I think we'd get absolutely smashed playing like this in the Championship and would come back down in 24th place.
Our change in style in dip in performances actually started the week following Cook getting sacked at Ipswich. Richardson abandoned what had worked well and seen us dominate games, to something that didn't work and became stubborn like Cook was.
I do wonder given this is the first time he has managed in a promotion battle and his closest ally in football suddenly had a lot of spare time that maybe he was communicating regularly and taking too much advice. Cook now is manager of Chesterfield, so if that was the case, Richardson would have to do it himself and hopefully we can revert back to what we did up to November.
Play to our strengths, attack teams, on the floor and give service to the likes of Lang, McClean etc then we will dominate most teams.
4-2-3-1 with loads out of position in a stubborn set up which lacks width and forced to go long then we will through away stupid points.
