Big win, very much against the run of play today. Made more understandable by a stat that Sky showed saying our 5 goals conceded away at this stage of the season is the best in English football history. I certainly wasn’t thinking in those terms, but a good defence will always give you a chance. Many Wednesday fans convinced it was never a corner for our first. If going by the keepers position when he caught it, I’d have to agree, but nobody seems to be considering if it went out of play and swung back in, which the TV angle didn’t show.

I expected Wednesday to be a tough game today but first half they were better than I thought they could be.
They played some skillfull short passing and worked really hard and I think our players were surprised at their application, I know I was.

Rathbone coming on at half time gave us a better foothold in midfield and we took our two chances while Wednesday squandered theirs.
It was the complete opposite of the game at NYS, where we dominated and fell to two sucker punches.

It was a decent game in horrible conditions on a poor pitch so well done to all players.
Wednesday, if they keep up that type of commitment, should have no trouble at all making the play offs.

Will also say that the Leppings Lane stand looked a lot better than the last time I visited, looks like Mr Chansiri has splashed out on some blue paint.

There might also be repercussions from the incident where Ogbene had a bottle and some other stuff (coins?) thrown at him from the North Stand.

It was a good match today. A 0-0 that was really enjoyable. I don't know if Ipswich have left it too late to get into the playoffs but it's going to get really congested up the top of the table with them and Bolton on good runs. Portsmouth as well. It's still really open although I can't see past Rotherham or Wigan for the autos.

I agree, was a good game to watch.

Was a shambles getting in though! The queues were huge with no signs of what one you needed and the stewards were blaming fans for getting there late when queues started building up at 2.

They then opened/told us of another entrance which caused a fair rush of fans around where I was.

Have to say, it’s a good job town fans are generally a patient lot!

Fair play to Rotherham, ground out a win when not at their best, that's the mark of champions.

We miss both Gregory and Windass so much up top but both should be fit for the final third of the season and that will stand us in good stead.

Tricky task of Accrington coming up in midweek but if we play like we did today we get the win and the top 6 opens up for us again.

As I said before in this thread, got a lot of time for Paul Warne and his comments post game only enhanced that.

Good luck to the Millers for the rest of the season.

Saturday had the feel of a hangover after the shenanigan's of Tuesday night, quite a subdued occasion. As mentioned it was a pretty straightforward win, always felt CTFC were going to score and the players had an air of confidence that they will score. Alfie May's goal was almost a carbon copy of his goal against Sunderland and Raglan took his header well, nice to keep a clean sheet.

Being able to score two goals was a massive issue in not getting games over the line, during the 12 winless streak seven of those were draws where another goal would of won it (obvs), but have now scored four in two which will bring huge confidence.

As for Fleetwood they were poor, offered nothing outside of set plays, just don't see where their goals are going to come from?
