We play Stevenage in a relegation six-pointer.

Unless one of our strikers that went off on Tuesday pass late fitness tests, we will be without a striker. We struggle to score on the best of days nevermind without a striker.

This game will most likely go like all of our games this season. If we score first, we will probably win. If we concede first, we will probably lose.

Do you understand them? Whenever I’ve been in that neck of the woods I feel like they are speaking welsh. There’s the odd word I understand there but my god they are strange people with their dial up internet.

We're still not the reason why Cumbria is now tier 4. Like with Somerset, almost everywhere is now tier 4
Actually Somerset is an island of Tier4 surrounded by Tier3. Though probably not for long..

I know a few that travel down here for work and it just doesn't tie in with any other accent that I've come across in Cumbria. You'd think that the further you got down this way the accents would gradually merge, but as soon as you get past Millom everyone suddenly starts sounding like that.

Interesting to note that Bradford haven't piped up about having a game cancelled due to COVID reasons. It's almost like they acted like a bunch of dickheads last time...

No need, I'm going all in in this relationship. Yes he's been travelling and enjoyed some good times, yes he's probably been shagged by some Australian dudes but he earnt that right and the main thing is he's back home to deliver some solid 1-0 away wins.

We’ve had a further covid case overnight so depletes our squad even further with two more awaiting test results. Losing one with Conlon not back means we have 14 players I think so possibly be off against Mansfield

That stretch of the Cumbrian coastline has got to be Englands remotest place. If it wasn’t for that Selafield nuclear place they wouldn’t have had many newcomers since Viking times. Don’t they hold the world gurning championships up there.
At least their internet doesn’t run on steam like it does in Notlob.

Can you tell me of anyone who has helped the human race by inventing something worthwhile, or anyone significant from Prenton/Wirrel
I find it quite amusing you have statues of Lord Leverhulme

Here you go you should be thankful for this guy, without him Bolton’s keeper this season would be having to go fetch the ball the 90-100 times it will end up in the back of his net.

I knew about him the story is he was at Liverpool Docks and he pinched some fishing nets from a fishing trawler. The police give chase and he did not know what to do with the nets he seen a load of men playing football and threw the nets between the two posts

There are plenty who have just like me, we all hate being on the coast with stunning views and sunsets, being 5 mins from the lakes and fells ( mountains ) and working at ****** earning shit loads of money.
Much rather be in bolton or oldham tho.....

Maybe.....
Back to the footy..... i really fancy Oldham to push on in the second half of the season being only 4 points off play offs.
How do you think you will perform in the second half of the season, nothing to do with whos bigger than who or owt like that, just now in the current football times ?

Think the young french lad you signed has been a revelation, you seem to have a decent 3 up front but one or two of them seem to be missing each week. Bring Wheater back or release him.

On to us as it stands we are simply not good enough especially with the 5 3 2 system we play
We dont have a keeper we have a great keeper/ coach who can organise a team, but whose best days are behind him.
Two 6/6 Defenders who cannot head a ball
Less said about the wingbacks the better.
It all depends who Evatt brings in this January, as it stands if we end up 7th it will be because the league is rank bad more than we have been good.
As it stands the is not one club who would survive next season in league one without pushing the 2.5m cap

Got to say Grimsby at 2/1 does look very tempting. The Mariners will certainly benefit from that all too common phenomenon in football that is the new manager bounce, though heavens knows how this 'effect' works exactly. I've seen poor sides go from playing like a pub side to somehow looking like the best team in the league, and all this because a new manager has taken over the side. If that's not enough reason, then the fact that we've been pants for quite a while now surely is.

We do seem to be replicating Port Vale's 2019/20 season in that we do put in a decent shift against the better sides but it's a wholly different story when it comes to the bottom six - defeats against Mansfield, Bradford and Stevenage and a lucky draw at home to Barrow. Oh and another lucky home point v Bolton :ffs:

I think if wheater had been in the team we would have been top 6, going forard probably one of the better teams, 2 or 3 additions will do hopefully.
I genuinely hope bolton kick on, would love oldham bolton play off final with fans......

There's 15 there but 1 of them is out tomorrow dropping it to 14 and 2 more being tested that could drop it to 12. Looking at what we have available we certainly can't afford a striker or midfielder being missing so knowing our luck it will be one of them.

Yes 3 of them were named as subs the other night against Bradford. These youth team players we have though have been getting thrashed every week and lost a cup match against Basford utd so by the looks of it none of them are any good.
