Heads have to roll it’s a simple as that but the club doesn’t care, there is zero effort or urgency to sort it out. We sleep walked into trouble last season and got away with it, not a single lesson has been learnt.

We’ve got nice corporate facilities and some cracking youth players though…

Embarrassing, cowards. Crosby has to go, Flitcroft has to go but we’ve not got the guts.

have to check with the cambridge forum police to see if im allowed to say we're going down....but we are. not been good enough all season and but for a very fortunate run of 10 games or so, we'd be cut adrift now.

crosby should have gone in november. if he's not sacked by 09:00 am monday morning then carol will have undone her work.

flitcroft can go as well. what exactly are we paying him for? and whoever sanctioned ryan lofts transfer....sack every single one of them. the worst player I've ever seen.

Well I didn’t expect us to lose that one, especially after going 1-0 up early on. Didn’t play particularly well today, we’ll be fine though.

Don’t mean to come across as a Vale fan, but fuck me that referee may as well have wore an amber & black shirt. Truly abysmal.

Tough game at Pride Park next.

We've had a good recovery but it's not going to be enough to stay up. Didn't turn up at all today and that happens so often in the games that really matter.

Massive 3 points. After 2 1/2 promising displays, everyone was expecting/ hoping for all 3 points at Burton.

Their keeper saved very well from Sorensen in the first 10 mins. Ref very card happy from the off, with 11 yellows in total, with 8 for Burton. Jackson missing a sitter just before half time.

29 mins and have defender sent off. Saw the game out to half time.

With Hackett, we looked dangerous everything we attacked and so pleased he scored when he did. With all the subs Burton made they looked so disjointed and despite 9 mins injury time, never felt we'd conceed.

Needed that

Moving away from our bunch of fucking competition winners result of the day has to be Wigan winning at Peterborough and with 10 men for the last bit. About as tough a place to get something from in this league so fair play to them.

really? I think you were by far the better side early doors and looked more up for it.

But when you're in the drop spots, things go against you like the opposition scoring a shite scrambler against the run of play, and a ropey pen being given to your detriment. Yes there was contact, but I've seen many similar not given.

Chelts' heads never dropped, and it was a great goal from Taylor, but you had 3-4 decent chances and you pissed all of them away.

It’s a repeat of last year isn’t it?

Good win for us today, two well crafted goals and few alarms at the back against a physical shrews side. League table looking much more comfortable now. On to Real Bolton at home on Tuesday. Going to be an interesting game I think.

I HOPE Port Vale get RELEGATED because I would know that there is at least one team we can beat next season in L2!!

Funny how we see it! First 15-20 I agree, we were on top and looking decent but once you scored I never felt we were close to getting back into it tbh. That's probably the worst we've played since DC took over.

Forgot to mention how great it is to see House come on for first appearance since August, and how many attacking options we now have. Mandriou and Taylor not even coming on.

Our new manager is not going for points he is going for bookings. Novel stuff.
Glad I didn’t bother going today. I’ve lost interest.
I know its tough against 10, but you were so poor. We did and do defend so well, but fully expected our keeper to come under some form of pressure. Instead your players just got more and more frustrated.

Sounds like an absolute disgrace of a referee today going from the comments on forums.

Big win for us though, we've been steadily improving since around Xmas time but we needed to start turning that into results against the 'lesser' sides after a stinking run of difficult fixtures. No real threat from Burton despite the man advantage. First win since at Cambridge at the back end of November.

The squad was the strongest we've had this season as well with House, Mandroiu, O'Connor, McGrandles etc on it. Not one outfield substitution would have weakened us this afternoon.

Well done on your win. Sounds like it was deserved. We seem to have lost our way since a good start under him.

Should have dispatched Carlisle 5 or 6-1 today. No complaints about HG’s ‘worst team in the League’ proclamations; even Shrewsbury and Cambridge were comfortably better. Always was going to be a big ask with the takeover so protracted, but that team is miles and miles off.

It’s worse when only one lets you down. It’s the hope that kills you. Especially when you don’t cash out because it’s still 430 and you are waiting for one goal to go in…

We are in big trouble. Winless in 12 in the league now. We don’t look like scoring at all. Yet again an individual defensive mistake cost us. For what it’s worth, Derby were really poor and if we did get any momentum going, one of their players would go down injured to kill that.

Port Vale and Reading both have games on us. Reading away next week is huge

Cash out would have been nice, but it was already suspended when I was waiting for 2 goals :ffs: Thats the good and bad of long injury times. Think it only ever got as high as £30 which is poor from Betfair

At least Stoke lost 5-0 to soften the blow.

Ordinarily would be lapping it up alas today was so bad in so many ways I can’t even say that.

But hey our DOF says he isn’t entertaining the idea of relegation at all. We are literally the “this is fine” while the room is on fire meme.
