Honestly mate we are for dear life. Haven’t seen us look this vulnerable for ages. We have 4 centre backs injured. Our only 2 fit centre backs…. Gethin Jones has gone over the ad boards and is now limping and George Johnston went down holding his ankle a minute ago. We have several on yellows. Can’t see us finishing this with 11 men.

Ipswich fans genuinely thinking a Sheffield Wednesday supporting ref would have made any difference is still making me chuckle.

Down to 9 men. None of our players will get many awards but I think Sammy Robinson wins the one for dumbest player in the league. To borrow a phrase from Geoffrey Boycott there’s more brains in a pork pie. If we lose this now I’m done with him.

1-5 Cole.

At least it wasn’t from a set piece.

First 30 mins I thought we were excellent. But that second half was the toughest watch in recent memory. They dominated us. It was as one sided a half as I’ve seen since we played the kids when we were in admin. We got fortunate with that Trafford none red too. I need to go and get a beer and chill now…

Thank you Bolton. We’re now level with Oxford which seemed unthinkable a couple of months ago.

And on another note, last minute equaliser for Cheltenham at MK Dons!

A game in which both teams did their level best to hand it to the other but our ineptitude eventually told. We will likely stay up but there is some major surgery needed on this squad as it is increasingly nowhere near League 1 standard. It wasn’t a lack of effort more intelligence.

Well done to Lincoln eventually in the end I guess. Hopefully our next opponents Ipswich have had a confidence sapping defeat today ahead of Tuesday…

We aren’t staying up now not a chance. Cambridge or Oxford are getting the six points on us easily. Only ourselves to blame but today is the day our fate was sealed. Bottlers

Well we were always going to find it tough this season, but we really have been miles out of our depth.

When you think 2nd half wont live up to the first, it did. Harrison by far best player for Vale, why doesnt he start?

Game that could have gone either way, Vale player made a stupid decision chopping down Boyes to get 2nd yellow. Then we score a winner.

Vale not too bad, seen worse teams, but my god, their disapline is ridiculous. A different type of performance needed today, but we battled and grafted hard.

Ahahaha the state of our team today!! Whole bench is made up of youth players and the starting 11 is an utter shambles. Pompey should really thrash us 4/5/6-0 today, no excuses.

Salop 0-4 Pompey
Yes. Yes we should have. However, we are now showing our typical "sharp end of the season" form. Absolute cack.

Thanks for wanting us to stay up and cheers for beating Port Vale today. That's three wins in a row for you Imps now I think?
Abdolutely. A real positive end to the season. Made it hard for ourselves today but ground it out. Need to aim for top 10 finish and positive goal difference.

Something you did really well was get the crosses in early and not being afraid to do it from deep. We always seem to obsess about moving it into the perfect spot to get it in there. You’re right about Ellis his ability to win first contacts is unmatched in our team.

As it happens Robinsons second yellow was only marginally less worse than his first one and that was literally 60 seconds after coming on and fannying around with it in his own half. You can’t win with players that brainless.

1-1 but we really bossed that game and played all the football. Better luck/quality/composure in the final 3rd would have seen us run out easy winners.
I was surprised by Derby, their only tactic seemed to be to hit McGoldrick long. They even went 5 at the back and had their goalie wasting time Wycombe-esque, which ironically gave us enough time to win the penalty :bg:
I cant see them playing in the Champ next season based on that.

Robinson should never have played after his behaviour last week.

From 0 red cards all season to 4 in 8 days. Ridiculous. Can’t see how we stay up from here, Accrington probably no longer a concern but Bristol Rovers next week is absolutely massive now, it’s must win and I don’t think we have a mentality to do it.

It will be an interesting game as we are starting to look very decent now, but both teams have tough midweek games so may be a bit leggy come Saturday.
On another day I wouldnt have been bothered if Vale beat us if it helped Darrell, but with the Snake playing (hopefully) ill be gunning for all 3 points.
DC could tactically leave him out as he will have our fans right up for it, but in your position you need goalscorers.

Meh just turn up and the points are yours. Even if you don’t play well we will find a way of handing them on a plate. We are down, really bad January has cost us and can have no complaints. Only ourselves to blame for a terrible January.

On a separate note, considering only 3 home games now left, can't believe how good our pitch looks!

Ha! We were fucking dreadful and didn't even deserve a draw.

So much deadwood in this side. I'd keep about five of them and fuck the rest of them off after today. Any decent side wins that game quite easily.

Weird (albeit very enjoyable) game. FGR looked vaguely up for it until it went to 2-0 and then it was genuinely like a pre season game, atmosphere and play-wise. Like both sets of fans expected the result.

Really hope Rovers bounce back, really good set up in a thoroughly pleasant part of the country by a club doing everything the right way. Stroud is just a bit too hipster for me though.

I’ve just seen a stat that said 60% of our goals conceded away from home this season have come in the last 5 games.

Nuts.
