Heading to Plymouth tomorrow as said its going to be emotional, and think the game may take a back burner due to last night's tragic incident., I just pray that our fans show the respect that is deserved, pretty sure they will but you always get 1or 2 mindless idiots.

Thoughts go out to the city of Plymouth
Can only echo this - I saw Evan's video earlier as well and I thought it was a good thing for him to do.

Can't imagine what the people of Plymouth are going through.

home to Ipswich.
All 3 strikers out injured plus mancienne and other defenders too.
The best we can hope for is to score early and some how shut up shop and shithouse a 1-0.
A few weeks off players returning sadly.
We have a brilliant record at yours despite playing some terrible football! We certainly have the fire power but who knows when it’ll click. Heart says a 1-0 win again but my head says a draw. Always enjoy an away day at the pirelli

Football almost irrelevant for us today.
Heart goes out to the people of Plymouth.

What happened still doesn’t feel real. We’re always so far away from any sort of incident like Thursday night - until now. I still can’t quite comprehend that something so terrible could happen 5 minutes drive away from where I live. I think every other person in Plymouth will echo the same. Shocked.

Onto the football, I just hope we turn up in front of a big crowd. We usually don’t, but I really hope we do today. I think we’ll have 14kish there, which is more than I originally thought we would of had.

Football today at 3pm feels even more weird than when I posted last night. We are going, and taking my London based 10 year nephew. But, I really am not sure I want to go. Keyham is within walking distance of the ground, and there will be people from the area at the match. I was so looking forward to this, now I am not sure. However, I will pay my respects in the only public way I think I can. It is going to be a bit surreal, but hopefully football can play a small part in bringing people together in their grief.

Think you can count yourselves unlucky to not be in front going into half time. No huge chances but definitely the better team IMO.
Far better than last week we actually look like a team, the refs shite how he can book Rowe for a body check and then say nothing to Iorfa for the very same foul 2 mins later is beyond me and Knoyle should never have been booked

Artell pays Portsmouth far too much respect and we never turn up. We’ve been absolute tripe today from top to bottom. Keep it below four and get the hell out of there.

Wednesday been the better team second half, great strike by Bannon but the second was soft

Played well second half, much more intent going forward and a great strike from Bannan.

Doncaster were better than I expected given the players they’re missing, particularly in the first half. I think they’ll be fine this year.

Well Wycombe are a very good side, last 20 minutes really showed the step up in quality. Thought it was pretty even up until then and if Alfie May could finish we might have got something from it.

Also, class from Akinfenwa spending his half time taking photos with our fans, top guy he is.

Well I was nearly right with my 1-1 prediction, be interested to hear Imps fans thoughts on the game. Early days yet but Sheff Wed on Tuesday looks a toughie. All of this pales into insignifcance with the horrendous tragedy in Plymouth......

Portsmouth won't have a more routine easy win than that all season. We basically set up to try and get a 0-0. Once Pompey scored, which they were always going to do, it was as good as game over.

Deserved our win. I was surprised at Charlton. I thought they’d pose far more of a threat than they did. We were the better side - really promising display. Probably should have been more.

I thought the first half was pretty much a non entity. You looked more attacking going forward, we struggled to get anything going with so many defensive midfielders. The final ball was cut out by the Fleetwood defenders. Our only effort of note was the 1 on 1 from Hopper and he messed that one up. Having said that, most of your efforts were from a distance and comfortable for our keeper.

The free kick was a cracker, but after that you shut up shop. Didnt look for a second and understandly wasted as much time as possible.

Thought it was going to be one of those games, but the only 2 attacking options on the bench changed the game. Bishop and Adelakun were exactly what was needed and we just about got over the line! Bishop especially looks very mobile and really breathed some energy into the game.

Did the hard way but happy to have 3 points on the board!

Crewe really struggled with our press today. Their CB Daniels was awful at passing out. Very routine win today. Ryan Tunnicliffe ran the show today. If I were a Crewe fan I'd be very worried. We beat them 4-1 last season but that scored flattered us on the day. 2-0 flattered Crewe today.

Fair summation mate, I cant remember the last time we lost the opening 2 games, looks like we are doing this the hard way. You did very well last season and bearing in mind its not that long since your promtion to league 1 puts into perpective how well you have, and are doing

Yet another defensive injury! Good that Williams covered so well though. The midfield really does have the potential to be very good.

It was great to be back at Sincil Bank today and what a great atmosphere, the roar from the goals gave me goosebumps!

We'll play far better than that and lose. For the first 60 mins we were slow and far too sideways in defence which is not like us. Players were far too static and didn't have the flair to make things happen. Introductions of Hakeeb and Teddy Bishop changed that, the latter is a player and really helped to spur us on. Good for Scully to get a brace. Fleetwood were far too defensive after going ahead - time wasting and feigning injury stopped themselves playing.

Bridcutt and Edun outstanding. Sorensen played well but we needed that injection of class which Bishop provides. Sorry but I thought Melbourne struggled with the ball at his feet, doesn't seem to have the confidence or ability on the ball for the way we play. He is however left footed and whilst Walsh is out, it would be great to get another left footed centre half. We also need competition for Hopper who was on gas and air for the last 15 mins, I thought he was going to throw up!

Onwards to Bolton.

Thought us and Rotherham could've gone until midnight with neither of us scoring, then we scabbed one in off a set piece with the last play of the game to win it. Lovely stuff!

Finally beat Ipswich. Feels good after all those defeats.
played well in patches. It’s a miracle we won with no real striker, although akins is a proven scorer at this level.
Hemmings and moult to return soon, which should make us hopefully even more potent.
sunderland next.

Thought we dominated the second half, it was played in your half. It was close for the first 45 but we took control and eventually got our reward for persisting.

Echo this - we played well first half and deserved to be level.

Alfie's misses are becoming commonplace now, but him being taken off killed us. The boy runs and runs, he needles defenders and makes them make mistakes. He's a fantastic workhorse - if he could finish he wouldn't be with us.

Fair play to Wycombe though, the last 20 mins or so they were so dominant and more than deserved the win, even if we gifted them their 3rd.

Agree, shouldn't have taken Alfie off because he was making things happen and one of them would've gone in eventually. We'll learn from it though and I saw enough to think we'll be alright this season.

Yeah pretty much agree thought a fairly even 1st half, we just never tried 2nd half and was camped in our own half

How much was this tactics of going for the draw at least and possibly a counter attack winner, and how much was it too many players were knackered. Lowe said that he did not think you were time wasting much, just that several of your players cramped up.

Think Lowe summed it up best ”There was only one winner today, and that was the city of Plymouth.”
