FGR have dropped to bottom of the table.
Would they be the 1st former Champions to be so quickly relegated into non-league football?

Southport won this league in 1973 then ended up in non league by 1978. I'm not sure if anyone has done it quicker than them...

Tranmere at home, absolutely should be winning given they look awful right now and have yet to pick up a point away from home.

Hopefully with positive Nige still too busy giving Ted Talks and motivational speeches more than tactics and game advice, we can see them off. Although them with an 0-0-5 record away from home and no league victory at GR since 1999 has me worried it'll be a smash and grab 0-1/1-2 or something ridiculous.

Tranmere at home. Unbeaten at home against them since 1999 and no matter how good or bad we are we always get a result against them at Gresty Road. I expect us to react to the disappointment at Salford and beat them. No doubt Harvey Davies will gift them a goal or two but it's a good job we're top scorers in this league because it masks our most concerning deficiency.

Hopefully Chris Long is back for this game. Gonna go for a 3-1 win.

To be fair Dale Vince said a few years ago that getting out of League 2 would be easy and given FGR’s current position he looks like being proven right.

No idea what to expect against County, we are not losing but have entirely lost form in front of goal.

I'm not entirely sure what to expect from us to be honest. First 20 minutes we were absolutely dominant, should have been two up and seen out the match. Instead we stopped playing and were holding on for the point. Same last Tuesday against Swindon where we were a different team in each half, great in the first, leggy and disjointed in the second.
We'll need to score twice to win, clean sheets look like being rare this season.

Well let's be honest looking at that slate of matches, there really is only one game next Saturday in the 4th tier.

Good choice from the boys and girls at Sky.

I'm certain the visitors will find their form again in front of goal, we've been generous when far inferior sides have come to the San Sirrel this season.

Gutted to have another game called off , will be like this all season ,just hope they can keep injury free. Our squad can't afford injuries on top of all the sending offs

Surely we can’t lose at home yet again. By the law of averages if nothing else.
I'm on eight consecutive league defeats, having been to Stockport last Tuesday, all our home games this season and the last game of last season...the worrying thing for me is that I think our performances are getting worse. There have been brief shoots of recovery in those defeats, a decent half against Swindon and Donny Rovers...but that is about it, the rest has been dire.

My third visit to Walsall, at least one too many for a lifetime tbh, but it's hoping third time lucky after two previous defeats.

Home v Newport. Pretty much a must win after 2 dismal defeats. Having a small squad with little depth is showing now.

We are missing al hamadi for international duty so don't be surprised if we draw at.home to Bradford. Think it will be tight 1 nil or a 1 all draw.

Just a normal Saturday then judging by the state of some on the last train back to Mansfield Saturday nights, I'll be going by car, don't drink in the mornings.
I'm quietly confident if we can get several in front first half and keep the 100% home record.

I feel like the injuries, particularly to Oates and Quinn are properly starting to bite Mansfield now and we look out of ideas. Just have a feeling we may be there for the taking.

We like to keep the ball, play short and ping it about, I’m not sure if we will stick with that Saturday against County. Very interested how we will set up - can guarantee we will go to win though.

Whatever the form of both clubs, whatever the league positions, regardless the length of the injury list, 100% home record, unbeaten starts to the season, who's on international duty, playing styles etc, one thing is guaranteed in this fixture. Mansfield will be really up for it, their highlight of their season and we embarrassingly won't. Traditionally it's men and against boys as only one team wants it. Slightly strange Luke is a tremendous and talented head coach clearly and of course we play great football as most know but he's not a magician. The curse won't be broken.

Once I return from holiday I will be betting on the double (draw/away) it's the obvious play for anyone who knows.

Oh and the attendance will be 16,000+ which is frankly ridiculous for this level.

Can't agree with that Viking, we'll be right up for it. Full house, close to 18,000 and after a rollicking from the manager in a local derby with the TV cameras and heightened interest.
We may lose but not for lack of effort and being up for it.

Will be a tough game against Salford, who seem to be picking up better results lately.

We need to beat these sort of teams if we have any ambitions of another promotion.

Wasn’t the curse broken the last time this fixture was played? Obviously tried to burn that entire season from my memory, but pretty sure the dogshit team that got relegated actually beat Stags at home.

1-1 probably.

That result doesn't break the curse! Look at the results over the past 20 years. Horrific against such a club. No disrespect intended but you know.
