I can see fully why that statement is directed towards you......It was awful watching Parkinson at Bolton and i am not on about the season he was screwed by the owners i am on about the season we got promotion and the following season the football was turgid.
Bradford and Wrexham fans cannot say enough about Parkinson but his football is Dire......Great bloke but never a fan of his football
With managers like him you can't say much really when it's delivering but when it doesn't (like at Sunderland) it's hard to defend.

I don't mind our style of football (helps that we win a lot). I can't stand teams that pass it forever without going anywhere. I find that boring to watch.

On that last part i agree i would much rather have Parkys Football than Evatt tippy tappy football but its close
The fact that you win more than you lose helps

Us football fans only really want to watch winning football. Can't accuse us of the tippy tappy stuff with under a succession of managers. Under Cotterill we won 6 in a row (January and February 23) and not a peep about the style of play. We then only won 1 of the last 10 that same season with the same style and it was deemed negative boring football.

Even when we finished 3rd under Hurst, we generally got a lead and then sat back to keep it tight and get something on the break.

Stats don't mean anything, but the first half Tuesday night Reading had 65% possession but only 2 shots to our 9.

Particularly when you're going through a tough period as you are atm- makes you really appreciate the wins.

Before the takeover we had almost 20 years of largely utter gross so I am enjoying the direct ruthlessness of Parky.

I don't think it would take long for the Parky Out banners to start appearing if we went on a bad run, as you say, great bloke but....

Yes I'm surprised that Monk doesn't seem to have motivated you.
Loft was close to scoring though, could have been very different.
It wasn't a great game of football, maybe it's an early kick off thing?
Funnily enough, I think they were the first two decent chances Loft has had with his head for us. Always assumed he may be more useful there than with his feet, but that got categorically answered yesterday!

Pick a kick off time, we're shite at it. Early kick offs probably make for a flatter atmosphere, but beyond that....viva the P45s.

You’re going to enjoy Tuesday, then.

Blues 1-0 Addicks

Very good first half for blues, should have been 2/3 up, played with good intensity just needed to be more ruthless in front of goal. Charlton looked better second half without looking like scoring, we held them at arms length and conserved energy based on the amount of games we are playing. Leaburn looks a unit, like the look of him.

Bradford next in the pizza car windscreens trophy then reading away saturday

how we didn’t win that will go down alongside how did they build the pyramids in terms of mysteries.

I’m actually worried playing so well and still not seeing the win through may hurt the rock bottom confidence even more.

Possibly, though the minute they injected pace….

I think had we lost 4-3 then it really wouldve fucked us.

Individual mistakes again for us. It's bizarre how we're generally ok defending as a team yet someone will contrive to drop a bollock and we concede from it.

Showed a bit of fight but that's only 3 wins in 18 now.

Some crackers on the Northampton forum again this week. Wrexham are a 'mid table team', 'bang average', 'we should beat these if we had our players fit', 'very average team'.

I think we all know there is a lot of bias and rubbish on each teams owns forums / when assessing your own team. I think of all the teams we have played twice so far this season by far and away our poorest set of performances were against you. We do have a lot of key injuries, that is true. But I was impressed on saturday with your team. Physically dominant, very organised, did not allow us anything at all and clearly could have upped the pace any time it was required.

I think there was a lot of disappointment seeing we had 2 more of our most important players out in Shaw and Eaves when the team sheets were dropped and that dampened any real hope or expectation we had. Then with how poor we were people just vent. I think its fair to say Birmingham are more of a 'footballing' side, but you guys look very well organised and think you will go up automatically.

In my opinion, that first half was the best we've played away all season. Sometimes we do perform well away, like at Peterborough and Charlton but it's been rare this season. It was really hard to assess Northampton properly from that as we never really gave you a chance to get into it, that double whammy of goals killed you off.

We lowered the tempo in the 2nd half and saw it out, which was a slight shame for the travelling fans but there's some tough games coming up.

I don't think Wrexham were very good, but they obviously didn't have to move out of second gear after the 30 minute mark sitting on a two goal cushion. Your away form isn't phenomenol compared to how you are at home, and the two goals were a big long ball from the keeper that fell in Smith's path, and another big long ball from the keeper that was knocked on and then put in with a very tidy finish, so it's hard to go away and be impressed with the quality on display, even if you could have exerted a lot more pressure if you were challenged enough to.

Our podcast was very complimentary about your pressing as a team and your physicality, but we were playing two debutants and haven't got a fit seasoned striker to play with at the moment, so while you kept us easily at arms length all game, the guys we were able to field due to absence weren't going to strike fear into anyone in the league.

You don't get to see a team over the course of a season, just the two 90 minute spells, and we simply have seen better performers this year, don't think it's overly controversial to call it the game yesterday workman like. At the end of the day, it's the league table that really provides the answer to who the best teams in the league are, not snapshots from one off games, so no need to be wound up that someone's socks weren't knocked off by a one off game.

Down with this reasonable shite.
