Good set of results really for us. Wimbledon will get 1 of the 3 auto spots, Walsall have only got to pick up the odd result here and there, so we're playing for the 3rd spot to be honest. Newport are dreadful, as are Gillingham, so 2 draws is a good outcome. Donny look like they've started a poor run...anticipated it as they looked dreadful when we played them the other week. Us, Wimbledon, Notts and Bradford still the in form teams.

Seems like you’ve done that a lot this season mate where you dominate games but miss chances galore and then drop points.
Must be infuriating but I think most of us have you down for a top 3 challenge next season if you don’t go up this year.
Absolutely. We’ve just been listing them off in the car regards throwing games away this season..

Cheltenham x2 - self destruct
Salford - Self destruct
Notts - Self destruct
Harrogate - Self destruct
Bradford - Self destruct
Walsall…. You get the picture

Absolutely infuriating. For me, it’s a mentality issue across a number of players within this squad. Absolutely weak as piss

Today has really sent me though, 10 minutes added time.. 2-1 down meant to be chasing it… we barely crossed into their fucking half never mind even have a shot, just passed it about the back 4 for some unknown reason and eventually fucked up and gave it away for them to get a third. Embarrassing

Very happy with our performance today, unlike the ref, the lads can hold their heads high. This is the sort of game where I think we will get promoted more than any comfortable win will. Most teams would have buckled under a ref that did all but slot one home for them. Even their comms team said we could have had a pen and the ref was terrible for us.

After all that we still had chances to win and had a perfectly good goal disallowed.

We’ve improved so much since the Notts County debacle. The lads are restoring pride in the shirt after 7 years of misery. I could be wrong but I feel like we’ll take one of the four promotion slots.

Good battling performance from us to get a deserved point. Still got very little goal threat, but given we are down the half injured or suspended and we lose another player to a stupid sending off.

But we've actually played some nice football since all our attackers have gone down. This better be a glimpse into how next season will be, as we're much more suited to playing this way.

Back into the play offs, for now. If we do get some bodies back by the time the Chesterfield game rolls around, we have a chance. But it still feels like a long shot.

Why are pitches so bad this season? I thought ours was bad but it just seems it’s the standard.
Ours was superb today, hats off to our groundsman who’s got our newly laid this season pitch looking superb and playing really well.

Good home win today without too much drama. Fleetwood huffed and puffed but other than forcing one good save from Grant Smith and a few regulation catches etc, they didn’t look like scoring. Yet again a good finish from a proper forward (Cheeky) was the difference. Onwards and upwards

So, it's okay for Bradford fans to criticise the referee, blah blah blah...

Yet if that was Vale fans, everyone would be all over the posts like a rash giving us all dogs abuse and crying about sour grapes and sarcastic as fuck replies?

Make.it make sense.

I'll take that set of results.
Not bad damage limitation there, great result for Grimsby, gives them a chance for playoffs over Chesterfield doing there thing .
Nice joker from Dan Crowley.
In our hands really with Wimbledon Bradford Doncaster and Crewe still to play.

Got the job done, we couldn't have accepted anything less than a win today if we wanted to stay up.

A scrappy game but we were comfortable in the 2nd half overall. Good to see we've actually got strikers scoring goals now, which has been the problem all campaign.

Accy looked poor apart from Whalley and Walton, very catchable. Onto Donny!

When they start claiming that there's a high level conspiracy against them, you might have a point. That's what people are laughing at.

The very first football match I saw, aged 5, was Port Vale v Aldershot. At one point some old boy wandered onto the pitch and offered the ref his glasses. That was over 50 years ago - don't go changing.

We were like another team in the second half. I'm not sure what Weaver gave them to drink at half time but I want some of it. Started doing all the things we didn't do in the first half; not hard stuff just stringing a few passes together and closing them down. I'm not sure Holloway making 4 subs helped, it just made them look disjointed. Fox and Morris played well and James Daly is always good value.

This was a massive 3 points for us with the other teams around us drawing or winning.

Absolutely huge win today to get us back on track. Should have been two down after half time after another poor, laboured half - but second half we were back to our best. Pressed them all over the pitch and forced mistake after mistake. Sat off them for the last 20 minutes where Chesterfield knocked it around nicely but with no killer edge.

That could be the springboard to kick us out of this rut - here's hoping.

Chesterfield looked tidy and they really did well first half. Dobra didn't make much of an impression though, it was the number 8 Oldaker who stood out the most for me. Him going off around the 85th minute was a big relief, not sure why that sub was made.

Having just watched the highlights, whoever that number 2 is who gave the ball away and gave up while the lad ran past him would be first on my list.
Sheckleford. He had a proper nightmare today.

Nice day out apart from the second half. Ipswich fans have been great crack on the trains.

I don't rate Shecks really, but he was hung out today when obviously having a bad game and being targeted, and we kept giving him the ball and he absolutely didn't want it. That's as much to blame.

Our home form is unbelievable. 10 wins, 3 draws, 1 defeat in all comps since our loss to Swindon in mid October. If we could sort out our away form we'd have a shot at playoffs, but sadly we haven't even scored away from home in 2025 yet.

Aye, Oldaker was the one knocking it about from side to side to generally no effect. He’s very easy on the eye, but because he stoutly refuses to play any type of forwards pass at any time he also carries zero threat.

Dobs was the only one who looked like he was actually trying to get us back in it once we went behind.

Shecks performance today mirrored the overall team performance in that I thought he was pretty good first half, dealt with everything down his side, was neat & tidy in possession etc… second half though wow, he fell off a cliff and played horrific. Not too sure how he stayed on the pitch actually, I’d have hooked him after 60.

It is indeed but talk about tough Bradford and Wimbledon are imperious at home and rarely concede. Crewe are a bogey side recently and we will be without Jatta. Plus we have Chesterfield and Donny.

Fun times though could be worse could be MK et al.

Williams, Grimes, Thompson are all terrible in possession was the main problem. That Olakigbe kept taking the easy way out and giving it to his right back as well because he didn't have the beating of his man. I'd have took him off sooner, you've got to give players like Colclough a chance to impact it more.

I think today 2 Paul Cook traits came out to bad effect; never wanting to change a team that won LTO, and leaving it way too long to make changes. The players were awful today though which wasn't his fault.

We were good today and Donny had an off day although I will caveat that with the fact we came up with a much better game plan than what we had against them when they pumped us earlier in the season and last , no meaningless tippy tappy and getting killed on the turnover which made a pleasant change

We look like a team finding for and consistency at the right time , whether that will be enough I'm not sure but we should be well equipped next season to have a real go if we don't make it this time out .

Or even a shot on target in the last two away league games.

We were brilliant today though - it was absolutely criminal that we found ourselves 2-0 down just after half-time. Once we got one back you just knew we'd go on to win.

An absolute howler by Bolton gifted the hosts their goal, frustrating afternoon and we have only ourselves to blame for not getting a point from this game. Think we can be in with a shout of being mid table champions !
