Regardless of the ridiculous penalty award, deserved and expected defeat, quids in as a result. Naive first goal to concede. Due to injuries lost our clinical side, McGoldrick improved things significantly once he came on.

Demetriou impressed as usual as did a few others. Cooney seems a bit erm special.

Unbeaten away run ends , mid November. No complaints

That’s the best we’ve played in a while, but yet again wasted countless attacks and chucked in our traditional piece of amateur defending.

It’s massively concerning that we’re still ineffective even when we play well and dominate a game. January can’t come soon enough as we need better quality in key areas, I just hope we’re not cut adrift by then.

The annual lead 1-0 at Colchester equaliser at the death continues, Sam Walker double shocker to give away a nothing corner and then fall over for the goal.

He's been shit this season tbh.

All on Alexander again. Ultra negative tactics against a crap side. Get someballs or fuck off.

Hard to pin another Walker fuck up on Alexander but our ball retention is abysmal it’s like we try and give it away on purpose - just asking for an equaliser.

Pretty poor game, Newport had two great chances to win and fluffed them both. Penalty which was gifted by the ref, good save from Wright, then their player kicked fresh air with an open goal from 3 yards.

Thompson made an immediate difference when he came on, need him starting soon.

Weirdly after today and a 0-0 I think we are in the play-off / promotion race more than all the random results . Big chance in the next 6 games for us imo the bottom 6 - lets see if it's Town of old or a real new dawn

I just Alexander gone in all honesty. It's the worst brand of football I've seen since Peter Jackson.

That crewe performance has to be one of the most thuggish I've ever seen.

Ref missed a clear stamp first half should of been a red.

Demetriou made 7 fouls and didn't even get booked.

Plus the ridiculous cards second half.

Add in a astonishing penalty decision and it killed the game.

Crewe created absolutely nothing. Truly horrible team.
Said it on here last week about the shithouse stuff from them seems to be working though they took a point from us.

Always happy with a point away at Newport as it’s always a horrible game whenever we play there, especially with them being gifted a diabolical penalty decision too.

One of those games, poor goal to concede and the pen looked like a terrible decision from the other end, but we weren't at it going forwards either and didn't really test their keeper.

Respect to Crewe's commitment to shithousing though. The right back in particular is wasted as a footballer, should be a permanent for-hire wind up merchant.

I might be wrong but it seems like Colchester get a late injury time equaliser every week.

No real surprised considering how negative we were today. We had 32% possession and had one attempt on target. Wish the c*** would fuck off.

2-0 win at home vs Notts County.

A staggeringly straightforward result. There was only the last 7 or 8 minutes where I felt any sort of worry that Notts might put together something resembling a chance, and then our defense just sorted it out without much effort needed. Defensively we were great, we closed down well and shut down everything before it happened. Cooney and Demetriou especially were class, but that isn't taking anything away from the others. I thought Holicek and Tabiner had their best games of the season in midfield, and the Bogle/Tracey forward line is looking better and better every time.

For some reason Notts felt absolutely no requirement to close down our defenders when we had possession, and it hurt them over and over, yet they didn't change. Weird.

Never a pen, definitely a red card, that's about it for the official. He was better than the one we had to deal with at Walsall.

We're in for a tough battle next against Port Vale away, and we'll have to get into a higher gear for that game than we had to do today, but we'll see. Up to second and deservedly so, 4 points from Walsall and Notts. I'll take that, and enjoy my Saturday night.

We offered very little and are struggling massively with the attacking injuries, but I’ve got nothing to offer beyond that Crewe penalty. I think that’s the worst decision I’ve ever seen.

Clemence needs to turn this around quickly as we will end up in a relegation battle. Today was the complete proof that we are overreliant on being decent defensively, they were poor today so we naturally got comprehensively beaten as we offer absolutely nothing going forwards.

Didn’t something similar happen to you lot last year at Crewe too, can’t remember exactly but I seem to recall you all moaning about something from this same game?

Ugly win settled by a set piece but a win regardless and that’s all that matters. Morecambe I thought they gave us a really hard time as would expect from an Adams team and they seemed to respond to the fired up home crowd.

We’ll need to be better than that if we are to beat Crewe but say what you will on this team they do keep finding a way.

Just to add all the best to Morecambe with getting rid of their owner. The Vale support did get involved with chants against him too (when not aiming fire at Kettle Jnr).

That Bromley are such scum, their man got sent off for elbowing our defender in the face who was wearing a face mask after recovering from a broken nose.

I’d not be surprised if they’re battling relegation at the end by the end of season.

They’re both bad decisions.
Shit refs though, it’s what it’s all about.
I feel for Morecambe, we’ve seen shite ownership and it’s truly worrying.
But they’re punching above, Adams has done well fashion some sort of team, and they’re committed, but we won without even really trying.
Shame the Crewe game is a Monday night, would’ve been a decent crowd on a Saturday, not so much now

The best we’ve played? What match were you watching?

We were bloody awful!

Absolutely horrendous and so were Bromley.

Umm, let me think, what match was I watching? Oh… Bromley v Carlisle! What other fucking match would I be watching?

I know it’s a really low bar, and yes we are shit, you don’t need to tell me that… but that was the best we’ve played in a while and if we were half competent in front of goal would have won. It was certainly a better performance than last week, despite the results.

The lad deserves a proper punishment for that abomination of a challenge. Absolute turd.

Beyond that, we were far better than them today - the fact we couldn't convert it into three points is a big concern.

Yeah it’s a concern but at least we did look a better team which we can take comfort from. We are deservedly where are but being the positive person I am I try to look on the bright side. This is now the 3rd game in a row where there have been positives (4 if you include the piss pot cars trophy game).

I still think we’re 100% going down, but I want to see us at least put up a fight and the last couple of weeks have shown some signs of that.

Somehow Lavelle ended up getting booked for it as well.
