Don't know much about these Americans wanting to take over Carlisle but the bits I've read the fact they are unwilling to pay off the existing debt doesn't scream 'cash rich' to me. Compare it to Gallinson, Reynolds, and Stott who just came in no questions asked and bought the club and wiped out the debt themselves. No pissing around.

Mark my words, under these American owners we will NEVER EVER be down in L2 again.
We will survive this season in L1 and then look at promotion to the Championship next season.

Having rich foreign owners is the only way forward for lower league clubs now..

Why would they come to us? Because we're playing at a higher level and with our takeover that now makes us considerably richer than you.

You'll never get out of this league as it's you who is the smallish club actually that is easily poached by other smallish but wealthier clubs.
