Real shame to miss Cambridge away. It would have been great to have a weekend visiting some old uni mates again during summer, but sadly we're on hols.

Should be a good game, both teams have had a good start. Cambridge have had some interesting, unexpected results. I had them down to struggle so fair play to them on their good start.

As for ourselves, we're on a high right now. The squad is the best it's probably been in my memorable life time and we're playing good football. Charlon was our worst performance ironically but we still looked decent. I'm excited, games can't come fast enough atm

I said it before, I can see Rovers in the top 6. As much as I dislike the odious Barton, he's assembling a good squad.

Rumour our end that we might be in for Ryan Loft. He seems a bit of a mixed bag but always seemed a handful when he's played against us. Has scored for 3 different clubs against us too!

Will be interesting to see if we can successfully bounce back on Saturday. The wins against Oxford and Fleetwood were great but Stevenage on Tuesday was a bit of a let down. Performance wise we just weren't at it, though in fairness Stevenage were well drilled and were difficult to play against.

Injuries have already made our bench look much weaker, and with Janneh's injury there will have to be changes to the starting lineup too. Expecting a tough game, but I'm sure the players back themselves at home to get a win. I'd be happy with a point at this stage however.

Predicting a 1-0 win to Bristol Rovers in the hope I'm wrong.

Lincoln City at home.

Thankfully Marko Marosi has been confirmed fine and will be available in goal this weekend in Taylor’s pre match interview after taking some studs in the face from fellow teammate Chey Dunkley. Unless the Home Office have contacted the club today or Matt Taylor is calling bluff in his pre match interview, Max Mata still hasn’t received his international clearance and once again will be unavailable, so Udoh and Bowman will start for the fourth league game running up top.

Lincoln have had a mixed start to the season. Opening day hammering at potentially future league winners Bolton isn’t much to be concerned about but it would seem that they got battered on Tuesday against potential relegation candidates Northampton and were fortunate to come away with a point despite being 2-0 up until the final five minutes.

I have to back Salop on home turf as we’ve made the Meadow is a tough place to come and pick three points from. Can see us just about edging the Imps out of this one by the single goal.

Salop 1-0 Lincoln (Perry)
As you say, we're a little difficult to gauge at the minute. Early indications are that we'll not be as tight defensively as last season, which we kinda knew anyway with the losses of Rushwoth and Poole, but we look like we've got a few more goals in us. We've not settled into any pattern yet, which I suppose is the same for most sides.

Hopefully Jackson will come back into the side at CB to replace Eyoma.

Doesn't feel like we've got a good record against Shrewsbury.

Interesting that Derby and Charlton are coming under pressure already. Derby should beat Fleetwood but with rumours Darren Moore is already in after the weekend you can see Fleetwood getting something there.

Charlton need a convincing win to ease the fans nerves and I think they’ll get it.

For us Bristol Rovers at home who have had a good start to the season. I think this will be a score draw.
Interesting game. Still too early in the season to be able to predict anything but we certainly seem better than last season and still have Jevani Brown, Wilson and Friend to come back in.
You gave us two hard fought games last season and I don't think tomorrow will be any different.
Ive just seen your managers preview interview, he always talks a lot of sense and was complimentary about us (mind games perhaps?). You have a good one there!

The wide lads caused us the most issues from Charlton last time, but our wing backs are far superior this time. We'll let them knock it about ad infinitum and then hop on a mistake. If we manage to get ahead early, their fans will get twitchy but go behind and we'll always struggle at the moment.

We need to be as organised as we were at Blackpool.

Think they could do us some damage, dunno if it's clicked yet but Rovers have a decent teamsheet.
Maybe the way they play will suit us a little more than Stevenage did, but still think narrow loss.

Would take a nice point.

Got a few injuries Charlton, think all three who scored have either left or injured today, it’s a chance but we will need to be as solid as we were Tuesday to get anything.

Would be a great response if we have 5/7 points from 4 games considering how tough the start is on paper and the first result!

Just caught the Bolton v Wigan score. What's going on there? Unbelievable really considering Bolton's start.

Weve completely bottled it today. 3 individual errors for the goals, hasn’t been an uneven game but we’ve been so sloppy, playing too slow. They just want it more. We always bottle these types of games.

Bit of a coupon buster you’d think but this season these sort of results will happen in what is a more even league than last year. Wigan are not exactly mugs either. Bolton shouldn’t worry other than put it down to just a bad half.

Still 45 minutes to go so who knows maybe Bolton come back. Stranger things have happened.

Similar to vales first game maybe. We’ve been nowhere near our best but 3 genuine mistakes and we’ve been punished.

Sometimes football just goes like that. As I say if there’s one team in this league who probably shouldn’t be the slightest bit concerned it’s Bolton. Just get the next goal and see if can create a bit of chaos for them. That’s really where we failed that day by conceding the next goal after half time and then mentally were gone.

I’m not worried yet - for the season. Todays result has gone. Dion Charles suspension today hasn’t helped as well. But as you can see from the stats we’ve been in the game. Just stupid errors.

It can be maybe a bit of complacency after cruising the first 3 results. We had a few last year where we turned up and inexplicably just lost 3 or 4-0.

To be fair there was not much inexplicable about it other than we were a completely ill-prepared and undisciplined rabble after January.

Also the fact it’s a derby. We looked nervous at the start. Taking extra touches, no fluidity and making mistakes. Just not at it. Also despite not wanting to say it… this Wigan team is pretty decent. They’re absolutely massive all over the pitch, fight for every ball and have quality delivery. They could be in the mix despite the off the pitch issues and points deduction.

Definitely didn’t have James Wilson starting on my bingo card. Ok lineup though, looks like we are going to try and keep it 0-0 as long as possible. Whether it works against a quality team like them we’ll see.

Fair fucks to Wigan though. To go from -8 points to positive points within four games is some going.

Can’t agree with that sorry, this is for a separate thread but you were perfectly happy to win promotion with a team you couldn’t afford just over a year ago. There are other clubs who try and do things the right way and will miss out because of that so I’m afraid it was the right call in my opinion at least.

I think this will be the tactic in most away games. Try and keep it tight and then bring on some runners second half to try and nick it.

So in other words you were spending beyond your means. That is textbook cheating. The owners are ultimately the club. Your last line tells me to be honest I shouldn’t take you seriously.

Are you taking the piss? Your owners stopped putting money in because they had cheated by getting you promoted through money you didn't have. Meanwhile, other clubs worked by fair means and didn't get promoted. You got off lightly.

Biggest team? Ha! You used to get about 3k fans before Dave Whelan. Stop making yourself look like a prick. There's about 15 teams historically bigger than Wigan in this league.
