Your punishment was more than fair, if you didn't originally overspend to get promoted then you wouldn't have ended up in that position. Spend within your means just like other clubs do.

Build your club up properly, don't cheat your way and then expect sympathy from us when it goes tits up.

Trouble for you is that football has been going for about 170 years, of which a significant part of that you were non league no marks. Having a wealthy benefactor doesn't make you a big club. You'd be on 5k attendances and below if you dropped into league 2.

It's not about transfer fees, it's about wages. However you dress it up, you're income wasn't enough to support your spending. Why would owners who supposedly had money not invest in their business? They were clearly full of crap. They didn't have the money.

Poor penalty decision...they were congratulating the lad for the dive and he looked embarrassed. These are going over in a gust of wind. We've started poorly though.

That's up there as one of the worst dives I've ever seen, yet the ref gave it and booked Ripley. Unbelievable how bad the standard of refereeing is in the EFL, but that decision is on a completely different level.

Charlton are fucking dog shit but we just haven't been at the races. So lax in possession and poor touches. Need to make some changes. That penalty is a joke though...the lad genuinely looked ashamed.

The penalty was soft but to be honest it wouldn’t have happened if we’d not let him get into that position in the first place so not going to dwell on it. Other than that would say you deserve the lead regardless. We started really poorly and each time Blackett-Taylor has had a matchup on Smith it’s not gone well.

A very dominate half from Salop, should be 2/3-0 up but a good save to deny Taylor Perry and some poor finishing has the scores level. If the second half continues like the first then it’s only a matter of time until we break through, total dominate in possession and chances created so far.

Fair enough mate, to be honest spent more time this half glancing at my phone which tells how it’s gone. In fairness I’ve seen others say he got lucky but same as the penalty it won’t change things now. Awkward now for the ref as both Charlton and Vale fans have given him pelters since.

I've seen the replay. It's a poor touch from Blackett Taylor and Ojo outmuscles him. It's never a foul.
