Thought we grew into the game. Burton started like a train but our depth looked good today. Subs changed the game and we played well second half.

Bye bye Jimmy.
Thanks for keeping us up - now fuck off you useless prick.
Sack him now and we can turn the season around.
Can you not at least wait another week before you pull the trigger.

That’s a cracking goal that Gape scored for Wycombe. Great vision to be able to pull it off.

Honestly, you weren’t that bad, first half at least, there was a guy on the wing for you who was absolutely terrible, but, there was fight in your team.

Collins is a pain in the arse for coming too far out from his goal. Wycombe pissed all over us tho for most of the game.

Well, our first was definitely against the run of play, and we looked less likely to score until then, but Barnsley never really got back into it.

Michael Duff spoke about his players not really reacting well enough to going one behind or putting in enough of a shift to redress the balance.

On a side note BG with a second stone waller not given at the Pirelli in two visits! 65 games now since we had a penalty! It’s bonkers. I think someone is going to have to literally sledgehammer one of our players in the box for one to finally get given!

Did get an apology for the Exeter penalty though so guess that’s ok then…

Thought Benning was good again today. Really grown with us the past few months.

I felt sorry for the big number 9 for Burton to be fair, he worked his absolute nuts off but got absolutely nothing in terms of service to do anything.

The big thing now is can we put a couple of good performances together? Against Portsmouth it won’t be easy but we are at home so hopefully we can make life uncomfortable for them.

Benning did well as you say, just wish his delivery was a little more consistent. Cass looks more comfortable when Worrall plays on the other side. They just seem to have an understanding with each other. Also Jack Stevens even if he’s not the biggest keeper I’ve seen he seems to command his area quite well.

Do any Charlton and MK Don supporters know their attendance figures?

Great to see a response from us. We can win away!

What a run of fixtures we have now:
Bolton, Derby, Wednesday, Oxford, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Wycombe.

If we’re still in and around the playoff places after that then I might start to believe we could seriously do something this season.

Portsmouth looking good.

We have so far, but it will be interesting to see where we are after Ipswich away on October 1st. That will complete a tough run of fixtures through September (Peterborough, Barnsley, Plymouth, Bolton).

Other than Wednesday away on day one we've had a set of winnable games. If we're still up there after Ipswich then I'll start to get excited.

Don't matter as Joey Barton says Rovers will finish above us if we play 442. Especially with a manager who knows nothing about football cause he's not played the game before!

Seriously though, with us the Cowleys have been pretty flexible with their formation as you well know. We played plenty of three at the back last season and no doubt will do again when necessary now Robertson is fit again.

Delighted to earn a point away at Oxford, sounds like they battered us for the large part. Chuffed.
Despite what the stats say, we largely never looked like winning despite something like 26 shots. Granted, Obika wouldn’t have even scored against us if you played us in every game for the rest of the season so your goal threat first half was largely non-existent!

From our point of view we have no fit wingers and no way of playing right now. I think it will come but my fear is it looks like we are well off it.

Last season we would just have outscored Morecambe. This season we just can’t create opportunities. Typical us - one shot all game and we concede. We have no way of breaking sides down and don’t look capable of winning games.

I enjoyed my visit to FGR yesterday, it was nice to see a match from a different, closer and lower perspective. The play felt faster as a result. In trying to find a better way to play away we were not actually that great. First fifteen-twenty minutes FGR were the better side and probably should have scored. The difference between the sides was that traditional one between league one and two sides. Our strikers were more clinical and overall our players were more street wise. If we can get the ball to him Azaz will cause lots of teams problems. FRG have some decent players, but a bit toothless upfront without Wickham and Matt. I also sense injuries are already affecting a small quality squad. Big shout out to Mr Drysdale who was the first ref I have ever seen kick an inflatable penis back into the crowd after we scored our third. Kudos.

I recognise it is very easy to criticise the facilities and I won’t because you have had to move a long way in a short space of time. However, if any of the FGR fans here have an inside track to the club, please highlight that egress in a crowded West Stand is poor, teetering on the dangerous. They really need to address that.

Didn't manage to watch the game, but caught up with the highlights and fall out. Another frustrating game - 27 shots and 62% possession results in zero goals. We've got to start showing more ingenuity in the final third.

The positives, defensively, is that we're just starving teams of the ball and they're struggling to create opportunities themselves. The last two away games have seen just three shots on target against us.

A bit more ingenuity in the final third, some good fortune and fingers crossed we will put it all together. The small squad is going to show itself going forward though, no doubt about that, unfortunately.

Whelan's challenge on the touchline that the BR assistant enjoyed so much he clapped it has left Louie Thompson with a double fracture of the fibia. Its ok because Glenn Whelan has played 90 odd times for Ireland so should be respected. Nothing come out from Bristol Rovers or Glenn Whelan sending well wishes to Thompson, regardless if it was a fair challenge or not. Some human emotion and resepect for a fellow footballer would be nice.

Is it worse for a manager with no football career trying to get an ex-international footballer sent off or an ex-PL footballer trying to get a non-league striker sent off? Asking for a friend.

EDIT - Worth noting that Barton didn't like it when we beat his Fleetwood side under the Cowley's in our first L1 season. They taught us 'a footballing lesson' and lost 2-0.

But has he ever kicked a dildo into the net like a Lincoln steward?

He can really bear a grudge can't he. I think it really sticks in his craw that he keeps getting bested by them. They never played professional football, don't you know? At least he has the satisfaction of outwitting our outdated tactics on Saturday:

Pompey
xG: 2.66
Shots: 23
Shots on Target: 7
Corners: 12

Rovers
xG: 0.41
Shots: 8
Shots on Target: 2
Corners: 2

Let it go, Joey. Let it go.
