The big thing now is can we put a couple of good performances together? Against Portsmouth it won’t be easy but we are at home so hopefully we can make life uncomfortable for them.

Benning did well as you say, just wish his delivery was a little more consistent. Cass looks more comfortable when Worrall plays on the other side. They just seem to have an understanding with each other. Also Jack Stevens even if he’s not the biggest keeper I’ve seen he seems to command his area quite well.

If we’re still in and around the playoff places after that then I might start to believe we could seriously do something this season.

Seriously though, with us the Cowleys have been pretty flexible with their formation as you well know. We played plenty of three at the back last season and no doubt will do again when necessary now Robertson is fit again.

Despite what the stats say, we largely never looked like winning despite something like 26 shots. Granted, Obika wouldn’t have even scored against us if you played us in every game for the rest of the season so your goal threat first half was largely non-existent!

From our point of view we have no fit wingers and no way of playing right now. I think it will come but my fear is it looks like we are well off it.

Last season we would just have outscored Morecambe. This season we just can’t create opportunities. Typical us - one shot all game and we concede. We have no way of breaking sides down and don’t look capable of winning games.

I enjoyed my visit to FGR yesterday, it was nice to see a match from a different, closer and lower perspective. The play felt faster as a result. In trying to find a better way to play away we were not actually that great. First fifteen-twenty minutes FGR were the better side and probably should have scored. The difference between the sides was that traditional one between league one and two sides. Our strikers were more clinical and overall our players were more street wise. If we can get the ball to him Azaz will cause lots of teams problems. FRG have some decent players, but a bit toothless upfront without Wickham and Matt. I also sense injuries are already affecting a small quality squad. Big shout out to Mr Drysdale who was the first ref I have ever seen kick an inflatable penis back into the crowd after we scored our third. Kudos.

I recognise it is very easy to criticise the facilities and I won’t because you have had to move a long way in a short space of time. However, if any of the FGR fans here have an inside track to the club, please highlight that egress in a crowded West Stand is poor, teetering on the dangerous. They really need to address that.

Didn't manage to watch the game, but caught up with the highlights and fall out. Another frustrating game - 27 shots and 62% possession results in zero goals. We've got to start showing more ingenuity in the final third.

The positives, defensively, is that we're just starving teams of the ball and they're struggling to create opportunities themselves. The last two away games have seen just three shots on target against us.

A bit more ingenuity in the final third, some good fortune and fingers crossed we will put it all together. The small squad is going to show itself going forward though, no doubt about that, unfortunately.

Whelan's challenge on the touchline that the BR assistant enjoyed so much he clapped it has left Louie Thompson with a double fracture of the fibia. Its ok because Glenn Whelan has played 90 odd times for Ireland so should be respected. Nothing come out from Bristol Rovers or Glenn Whelan sending well wishes to Thompson, regardless if it was a fair challenge or not. Some human emotion and resepect for a fellow footballer would be nice.
