Never thought I’d be upset not to have Menayese available but he’s been a rock since Hewitt came in, he’ll be sorely missed, particularly because Luke Waterfall is his replacement and he’s shite.

Another must win really, the next 3 all are to even stand a chance

Yep, those two have been great recently. Hewitt looks like he's been a CB for his entire career. Looks like he could go on to be a very good ball playing lower league centre half. I'd get him on board for next season as a priority, never thought I'd be saying that a few months ago.

The bookies still think we’re going to beat Stevenage tomorrow.

This despite the fact Stevenage are unbeaten in 8 and have kept 6 clean sheets in a row.

The mind boggles.

I think a win tomorrow at Colchester and will be pretty much safe. We've actually been improving gradually since DC came into the club apart from a horrendous performance at Cheltenham. Keep on the same trajectory and am confident we can come away with something from Colchester. They seem similar to us in that they have talented players just for a large part of the season not putting it together as a unit.

Probably got the most players can pick from all season for this one so will be interesting to see what the team looks like.

Interesting to see that there are the same odds for a home and away win in the Rovers v Exeter game, with the draw being something longer.

There isn't any obvious fix after our disappointing second half at Grimsby, where Rovers were clinging on for the point. Expect there'll be one or two changes, but not sure that they can compensate for us being toothless up front, while if we don't have one of our regular right-backs fit, my preference would be to opt for a back 3 and wing-backs.

See you have another midweek banker against Colchester.......Games are catching up with you
I expect Exeter to turn you over by at least two goals then your Banker against Colchester will finish goal less.

Going to enjoy the coming few days on here

I feel for him, wonderful on the ball and would thrive in a better side. My criticism is he’s a walking red card and his centre of gravity is so strange, he looks like he’s falling constantly. Very good player though and miles better than the rest of our squad, good career ahead

Matate looked like one of Grimsby's better players in midweek.

I think my remarks were realistic. There were some good balls into the Grimsby box midweek, which weren't taken advantage of. Nugent spent too much time outside of their box and is still some way off match fitness, Lewis who came closest to scoring, looked jaded second half, while Keith Hill mentioned Woolery in his pre-match remarks implying that he'd been playing more than planned and the two young strikers aren't ready for a start. On Saturday, reckon Rovers are going to need more than one goal and for the above reasons, don't think that's going to be easy. As always, please share how you think we might overcome the lack of fire-power, that might give me a more positive slant for tomorrow.

We rested two or three players on Wednesday night that will come back into the side tomorrow, so we are likely to have a bit more spark and creativity. I am pretty sure Nugent won't start the game.

It is a tough match that could go either way, but we have rarely performed terribly in successive matches under Hill and the players will be well up for the game. We are not exactly prolific at the moment in the absence of Vaughan, but we are defensively solid, with only two goals conceded in the last five games, which gives me some encouragement.

At least we don't have to play on the Rodney Parade pitch, we have enough injuries as it is!

We're missing our best player this season James Brophy because of a 2 game ban, Tristan Abrahams can't play against his parent team, so we're light in the forward areas.

Jobi's had his first clear week, it would be nice to see some sort of a performance but I'm not holding my breath. We've been shit for 2 months and I'm expecting very little.

We haven't been prolific scorers even with Vaughan playing. Most of our wins have been close scorelines. If we are solid defensively we do not need to be prolific. 1-0 still gets you 3 points just like 4-3 does.

Was excellent in his first two games and looked miles better than lge 2 standard. Been brought down to our level since though, and doesn't look as composed on the ball as he did.

He's one of these players that will do well in better teams at higher levels where he is given more time on the ball.

Crap at tackling though and could get a red in any game.

Hate to say this but I'm not optimistic of beating FGR or even picking up a draw come to that. We didn't have a game on Tuesday but neither did FGR. Our home recent form is not great and I actually think we perform better on the road. OTOH, Rovers' away form is a very good one and what's more they always seem to beat us.

I can also see Mark Bonner getting the shape and formation wrong again like he did in the reverse fixture, when he thought that allowing a possession based side more time on the ball was a good idea.

Come on Bonner and you U's, please prove me wrong!
It sounds like Forest Green are missing a fair chunk of their midfield whereas we have everyone back for the first time since November. Should equal is out somewhat, especially with us being at home.

Forest Green are a very good side (arguably the best in the league) but no reason we shouldn’t have confidence in ourselves today.

Feels ages since we last played. Strange going back to 1 game a week. Got used to games every few days. We needed the rest but really enjoying watching us for the first time in years. Some interesting games at the top today.

If we can pick up 9 points in the next 3 games we will be champions in May
6 plus its Automatic promotion
4 plus its the play offs
under 4 we miss out altogether

See FGR are starting to struggle numbers wise,we are missing Sarcevic...Tranmere Vaughan
Exeter have had injuries as have Cambridge its going to impact the final positions.

As i have said many times we may or may not have the best team, but we certainly have the best squad.....And we will need 20 players before the season is out

Sadly I cannot disagree. Mark Cooper's pre-match interview was very depressing where he admitted about five of our better/best players will be out of action for more than a few games. But he is optimistic that their replacements will be up for the job even if playing out of position.
A real 6-pointer for both clubs.

The best player in the league only available on a Saturday has handicapped us for sure.

We now have a fully fit squad apart from our GK at the most crucial time of the season. To be where we are, on our budget and missing key players like Boateng and Digby is a real credit to the manager and players.

Bonner has said we are here to spoil the party amongst the clubs with bigger budgets.

your best player in the league would be better suited for us as being only good enough for our bench we could just give him 15mins here and there

Yep 100% this. He's very tidy, very aggressive, can take the ball past people, works hard, doesn't give the ball away. I think you've got a good one there. But yeah he's so so rash. What's he played for us now, 10 games or so I'd guess? I reckon he's been booked in half and been lucky not to get a red in a few. He just flies into tackles. Which I love but he needs to learn to control that side of his game.

We're on a pretty poor run of form with 1 win in 7 but we haven't actually looked that bad in those games apart from against Exeter. We just can't seem to finish our chances whatsoever at the moment.

Our defense is patched up with a RB playing CB but they haven't even been the problem, it's the attacking players that are the issue. The fact we only scored two goals in the past two games despite creating so many chances is mental.

I imagine today will end 0-0 or 1-0 either way, two teams that can't seem to score at all.

1 change for us from the side that played out that drab draw at Mansfield.

Honestly I expected more as half the team looked to be running on empty the other night.

Expect we’ll get rolled over by a confident Stevenage team keeping their solid defensive record intact.

Stevenage look very dodgy at the back within the first minute for a team who haven't conceded in 8 games. We really should be a goal up already
