Gary Neville not happy about Solskjaer getting sacked. I was going to ask a Salford fan on here what they thought about his record for manager loyalty but on reflection will do something more likely than one of them appearing, such as selling Dodo eggs.

An entertaining game yesterday and a much improved performance from us. A draw was probably a fair result, but I think we had the better chances in open play. We look a much better side with the partnership of Glatzel and Maynard up front, and Paul has been a different player since returning from his Liverpool recall.

However, the hosts should have been down to ten men for the forearm smash on Callum MacDonald. The referee was appalling.

Looking forward to Tuesday night now.

Nice banner behind the goal at Oldham. We should be getting some ideas from them.

Watched the “Highlights” on Quest there, comical third goal Mansfield goal as our player ended up losing the ball, Fat lad in his designer gear didn’t have a word to say about us, he probably doesn’t know where Scunthorpe is anyway.

Just watched the Bradford decisions again and how that doesn’t amount to 2 reds is astonishing.

Can anyone else comment and see if it’s just my claret spectacles (or last nights 12 pints) that are clouding my vision?
First one no red, he just puts his arms out, it was accidental. The Dawson one 100% red.

Sure we will oblige on Tuesday crap again today if you have decent runners from midfield they will cut through us unless we make changes before tuesday night to make things more solid only real positive was Khan played well again and Labadie managed to not get booked or sent off for once.
Consensus on our forum was that it was a reasonable game, which we slightly edged, but not by enough to say we deserved the win.

I agree we should have been down to 10 men. But we also should have had a penalty ( blatant handball ) when Tom Davies punched the ball out of his own penalty area, A draw was a fair result and I think you were the best team we have played at home this season. Mind you that chance for Nicholson should have been put away.

Was definitely a penalty having seen it. The referee must have had his view obscured by all that air in his way. Got to be fair when it comes to referee bashing.

The reckless challenge by our teenage full back Finn Cousin-Dawson looked a red from where I sit in the kop, and the highlights haven't changed my mind. People I know who sit in the stand nearest to the incident thought he got the ball first, maybe so, but you cannot go in like that these days. Now Micky Kennedy who played for us in the 90's was a master at that type of tackle!

Doesn’t like his mate getting sacked .

Been trying to blame anyone but him for weeks .

For what it’s worth we were totally outplayed, we offered very little resistance and it was an easy game for FGR who I reckon will be champions.
Best team I’ve seen this season & that includes Wycombe.
Most fans think we saw the Champions in waiting yesterday.
They reminded of QPR when we were in League one, streets ahead of anyone else.

We played like a U23 side, the players ought to be ashamed Of themselves.

What was the arm smash? Must have missed that completely? Got a replay?

I don’t agree that Tranmere had the goal scoring chances, quite the opposite actually. But that’s football I guess!

Wasn't following yesterday but really happy with out 2-1 win at Newport. From reports it was a tight game and a draw might have been fair but to come away with all 3 points is tremendous.

I note that we have the best away record in the league and the worst home record. Need to put that right against Harrogate on Saturday and especially against Hartlepool on Tuesday. Great opportunities to put things right at the County Ground.

You actually have a worse record at home than those at the bottom??

That is quite remarkable
And hugely frustrating. I guess the way we play works when there is a higher defensive line but at home when clubs come they sit back and soak up all our possession. It's definitely a conundrum that Garner has to resolve.

You looked alright, better than stevenage or oldham for instance but certainly caused your own problems.

Who is that bloke off quest, he just looks as if he’s been in the local having a pint and get him on.

Naturally 3 of those points came against us but that’s of not surprise.

Though the ref missed a blatant penalty and the ball clearly going over the line, but heyho

At Barrow on Saturday -

On the match last Saturday, it wasn't until the evening when discussing the game over a pint in the Barrrow Sports Bar by the ground (we were staying overnight) that we realised that neither teams physio/medical teams actually came on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes - which was a credit to both teams who didn't go down under tackles and feign injuries - the added minutes were for the goal celebration and substitutions - and credit to the referee and his assistant's who were excellent - to the fact that we didn't notice them all game and they just kept the game flowing.
