Jake Caprice with his first ever career goal today at the tender age of 29! He’s been getting close for a while and, to be fair, he’s been excellent for us this season. In the summer I’d have gotten rid but so glad he’s proved me wrong.

Sounds like Carlisle came with a good plan and did well till Mellish went in two footed on Collins.

Pleased with another win but tough games coming up will really show where we are.

Well we've out Port Vale'd Port Vale again today.

Good run in the league....check
Big following.....check
Playing a team near the bottom of the table.....check
Look to be heading for victory.....check
Club feel good factor high....check

It's classic and has been the same for my 30 years of following this club.

Play that game again 10 times and we win 9. Such was our superiority footballing wise the gulf looked huge.

But......Oldham hung in there when a 3rd goal would have killed it. We've got a very soft underbelly when teams start pumping high balls into the box, we just haven't got the height or physicality, so even less skilled teams have a real chance against us.

Cracking result for Oldham today but that's 3 times now against Sutton, Rochdale and Oldham where we've outplayed them for parts but conceded terrible goals.

I had a bad feeling that our injuries would affect our form and unless we instantly turn it around against hartlepool and Walsall we could find ourselves quickly sliding towards mid table such is the tightness of the league.

Well, that was an enjoyable game against what I feel is the best side we’ve played so far. Probably didn’t totally deserve the win but thems the breaks. Newport played some good stuff.

7 away wins in a row now! Hope to God our 2 home games this week yield 6 points - Hartlepool and Harrogate.

If today is anything to go by, you should feel comfortable in 3 at least.

Funny that. When we played Newport they seemed no better than us, mind you, way back when we played you you seemed no better than them, yet here we all are. We'd be top of a mini league containing us, youse and Newport.

You're two of only three teams that we've managed two goals against. The other was Salford who someone will no doubt say are the best team they've seen all season.

How has caprice only scored one career goal though (I know he has), he could have 3 or 4 this season alone!

Well done to him. That's a terrible statistic. Surely at some point in his previous (according to Wiki) 286 appearances he would score. You don't even need to be good, I'm convinced with that many appearances at least once you would be in the correct position even accidentally and could just flick a leg at it or something to score. He doesn't even seem to be one of those rubbish lumbersome full backs who pose no aerial threat.

Fucking hell. All three of those examples are easy yellows, if not straight reds. Are bradford always like this?

Songo' incident. Definitely not a sending off. Natural movement. His challenge later is worse but that's a yellow. How the fuck Finn Cousin-Dawson stays on the field is beyond me. Easiest red you'll see all season. Absolute moron.

It’s pretty baffling.

I will say the commentators and summarisers we come saying just how bad the officianting was

What did you think of all three incidents, Eric? Can't expect anything else from Boyeson. Apparently he's been reffing over twenty years which is shocking really.

Don't think we're a dirty side. Although that's not the first time Cousin Dawson has lunged in. I remember him doing it twice before early in the season but I forget against who. Think we've just had a couple of bad games for that sort of thing. Normally quite the opposite: soft.

Sure we will oblige on Tuesday crap again today if you have decent runners from midfield they will cut through us unless we make changes before tuesday night to make things more solid only real positive was Khan played well again and Labadie managed to not get booked or sent off for once.

Cousin Dawson is just out of his depth rather than dirty, I missed yesterday but he’s a walking card whenever he plays.

He's dire and he's made so many crucial mistakes this season: Slips and own goals. The fact he took the place of Sutton and stayed on the pitch for ninety minutes is criminal. Didn't see the alledged elbow on their player but perhaps he should have been off.

I sit around some people who seem to enjoy giving Vernam abuse. Mental.

Edit: Forgot the ref was Boyeson. He won't get an incident of any significance correct so he probably got the Songo'o one wrong and he should be off. Sound reasoning.

Although on the bench, Sutton was injured. Adams said he deserved to be 'involved' in the match day squad even though there was no chance of him coming on!. You couldn't make it up could you.

First one meh apparently it’s natural movement and he’s caught him, Michael Dawson’s one is a red mind you

Just watched the Bradford decisions again and how that doesn’t amount to 2 reds is astonishing.

Can anyone else comment and see if it’s just my claret spectacles (or last nights 12 pints) that are clouding my vision?

I don’t know what was worse, the football or waking up with an appalling hangover this morning. Terrible spectacle where both teams only had a shot on target never mind a goal due to defensive slips, suppose you could say at least they were clinical…

Draw fair result both teams were appalling, the challenge by FCD was a definite red card no doubt my mate and I said it in real time and was shocked that not even a free kick was given. The other two decisions were right for me, football is becoming a non contact sport more and more it’s not helped when fans scream for every accidental arm, sometimes it’ll hit someone in the face but for me intent has to be there and he’s clearly just looking and shielding the ball. Disappointed with Songo’o though so far he’s looked very poor in midfield, decent in defence at times but with a mistake in him.

The refs seem worse than last time we were down here tbh, not just making key decisions but their control of the games. He was stood in the centre circle half the game not looking like he had a clue what was going on.

It's easy to mask your own bad performance by saying 'both teams were terrible'. Fans from all teams seem to do it because they are so focused on their own team, they don't notice the other unless they are brilliant. I thought we played quite well in parts...still, having just had a year under Curle when it's at it's worse...stringing two passes together on the floor is seen as an improvement.

We were terrible I’m not masking anything, but you had one shot on target due to a defensive slip. If that’s a decent performance from you then fair enough but I wouldn’t expect to stay top 7 for long. The ball spent most of the game in the air, it was like head tennis at times.
