Yeah that is pretty shocking to be fair especially given the distance. In so far as can tell with Peterborough they never even announced there’d be an inspection when at the very least if they were working on getting it ready could have had that done this morning. Really poor from them.
Yes there’s loads of pissed off charlton fans for exactly this reason, they were all arriving in Peterborough as it was called off, blissfully unaware there was even a doubt.

Football fans get fucked over so badly when the weather is iffy. I saw in the conference that Yeovil v altrincham got called off at half 1 today as well. I know there’s fewer fans affected but it’s still disgusting.

There should have been new rules brought in to protect fans years ago but in the middle of a cost of living and energy crisis it brings it much more into focus at the moment.

Deservedly 2-0 up at HT. Cambridge are all over the place defensively and this could easily have been more. One more goal should put the game to bed. Cambridge have 4 bookings so far as well so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a red card second half.

Do feel for them slightly as the referee played 5 minutes of injury time instead of the 3 added for some strange reason. We’ve had more than our fair share go against us so I’ll take it! Definitely was a penalty mind.

Not surprised by our inept performance. Heard mixed on the penalty (not seen it myself) and a bit galling to concede in the fifth minute of three minutes added on. But there you go, that’s our season at the moment. Play shit and you don’t make your own luck.

Think the top 6 is pretty much sewn up now. Can't see any of those teams slipping badly enough to drop out. I got a bit excited when we got close but we're miles off the squad required. Going to take us minimum 3 or 4 years to build a squad capable enough. When there's lads on 10-15k a week and teams like Lincoln paying 6 million a year on wages, it makes you realise how savvy we have to be in the transfer market.

Haven’t turned up today at all really. A few have had off games. Nlundulu has been our best player by a mile… one of the few that will come out with any credit. Aimson has had a shocker. He’s had a few good weeks but he just doesn’t have Santos’ recovery pace or passing range. Fully expect Santos to come back in now.

We’ve been dire again, but full credit to Shrewsbury, been far better than us especially in the final third, think saydee and street are quite possibly the best front two I’ve seen this season.

Signings needed!

What a performance that was all over the pitch from Salop! Second consecutive week we’ve won by four goals. With MK and FGR our next to games, 6 points isn’t impossible. Could we be that team that goes on a run to gatecrash the play offs? Hopefully so!

Also I wanna say a big fuck off to Lee Gregory. Useless twat missing that penalty at the end fucked me out of £750.

Still confident we’ll put a winning run together but my god we’ve imploded results wise. Definitely have not had our fair share of luck in some fine margin moments but there’s no shying away from the fact we’ve been poor. I just wish our fan base didn’t come across so painfully cocky and arrogant. The overreactions both for good and bad moments are pretty embarrassing from our lot.
Credit to wendies and argyle for grinding out wins, Morecambe/Cambridge in the league next before Wednesday come to PR.

So, what are my thoughts on today? Well, I don't have any (I'm sure some of you will be delighted to hear it). Purchased the game 15 minutes late and had no comms until the 35th minute. Then for the entire second half I felt like I had entered a 45 minute "Guess Where the Ball Is" competition, knowing full well there wasn't a prize. Commentators who arrived late also couldn't see fuck all.

Concerning gap now opened between ourselves and the top two. With our January power buys I have no doubt we will win the majority of our 19 games (i.e 12-14 or so) - I have major concerns however that both Wednesday and Plymouth will to, though... where are they going to drop that many points?. Derby and Barnsley also look like making this a five horse race for two spots - to a lesser extent Bolton but I don't see them challenging realistically.

Wednesday at home early Feb will likely decide if we contend the autos or enter the playoff lottery.

Still see us putting a prolonged run of wins together, but without them two dropping points, it doesn't matter.

And I was looking forward to a bit of Eric Read vs TractorBoys!

Sounds like we gave it a go against Plymouth, without really worrying them.

Thank the Lord there are teams determined to go down ahead of us this season though.

Just to be accurate, that is not our playing budget. The figure is for every single employee related expense from CEO to manager to players to chef to turnstile operator.

Doomed is the word springs to mind.

Yeah…we’ve all been there, whilst no one game is ever “must-win”, relegation six-pointers are incredibly demoralising to lose.

There’s still a long, long way to go, and no-one is truly adrift yet by any stretch of the imagination, but there doesn’t seem to be any rays of hope of turning the corner right now for FGR.

You did just sign a few though, right? Maybe one of those will step up, it often seems to be pretty fine margins at this level between a team that goes down Vs one that scrapes safety.

Massive win for MK at FGR. All other results down the bottom as expected - Accrington, Cambridge, Cheltenham and Fleetwood all losing.

Couldn't even get commentary today so can only go off second hand stuff and previous, but as Si says manager seems sadly out of his depth. Nice enough bloke who speaks well but he can't get a tune out of these players and will probably hamper the improved signings. Substitutions poor too which always sounds alarm bells. Vince not likely to sack him in time either and of course bit of a lottery if he does as we're not a plum job.

I'm not sure the players are FGR's problem
Agreed, it starts at the top...we need someone running the club with the vaguest of clues about football...I just hope he knows someone who is good at removing tattoos as that second star will need to come off in a couple of months time when our relegation back to League Two is confirmed.

Big win for us. Not a good performance but a win is a win. A Mo Eisa brace is a good boost for him though.

According to the BBC, the Cheltenham players were clapped off the pitch at full time.

Was a pretty poor game, MK deserved it though as they looked that bit better organised and up for it.

Yes we’ve made some signings, but not sure other then Cooper & Robson they’ve all improved on what we had tbh. The keeper should do better with the first, possibly the second (pretty sure McGee would have at least have saved the first one) and Bakayoko was pretty hopeless (he was poor at Exeter too) could couldn’t keep hold of the ball or win a header all day. Matt at least could do that even when not on form. Garrick was totally ineffective too. Would rather start with March & Stevens, they at least bust a gut chasing everything.

Credit to your players for their shirts in the warm up, and your fans for joining in with the tributes.

A rare touch of class between opposition supporters.

Not sure where the arrogance (on this occasion) appears in that post. I paid £10 and didn't get to see the game. Made that pretty clear, Pompousblueboy.
